Object : The purpose of this study was to measure the natural changes of cognitive function over 6 month and to determine which cognitive tests were valuable for early detection of dementia in community dwelling elderly. Method : Cognitive function were measured in 94 elderly registered at the Public Welfare Center in Gwacheon, the urban community of Kyunggido. After 6 months, same cognitive functions were re-measured in 54 elderly. The measures were Korean version of Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE-K), Subtests of Korea Version of Memory Assessment Scales (K-MAS), Verbal Fluency Test, Clock Drawing Task, Wechsler Digit Substitution Test and Wechsler Similarity Test. Results : The mean age was 73.61±5.97 year. Most part of the tests were influenced by education, but not by age and sex. Of the MMSE-K subtests, the score of memory registration and memory recall declined after 6 months. The score of delayed recall of K-MAS declined, too. Decreased score was also observed in 'country' of the category verbal fluency test and 'n' of phonemic verbal fluency test, Wechsler digit substitution test and Wechsler similarity test. But, score decline was not statistically significant. Three persons were diagnosed as dementia after 6 months. And, they acquired low scores in above cognitive function tests in first cognitive function tests. Conclusion : Memory registration and memory recall of MMSE-K, delayed recall of K-MAS, verbal fluency test, Wechsler digit substitution test and Wechsler similarity test were sensitive to cognitive decline. The results suggest that cognitive function tests could be applied to detect minimal changes of cognitive function in community dwelling elderly.

스마트폰은 기존의 휴대전화보다 더 향상된 컴퓨팅 능력을 제공하는 휴대전화로, 사용자가 자유롭게 애플리케이션을 설치하여 사용할 수 있다. 스마트폰 애플리케이션은 기존의 PC 애플리케이션과 달리 하드웨어 센서와 사용자 정보를 사용할 수 있으며, 기존과 다른 사용자 인터페이스 컴포넌트를 사용한다. 이와 같은 스마트폰 애플리케이션의 특성은 설계에 반드시 반영되어야 한다. UML은 소프트웨어 모델링 언어로, 다양한 도메인을 모델링할 수 있지만, 특정 도메인의 특성을 상세히 표현할 수 없다. 이러한 이유로 UML은 확장 메커니즘을 제공하고 있다. 본 논문은 확장 메커니즘을 이용하여 iOS 애플리케이션의 특성을 충분히 표현할 수 있도록 UML을 확장하였다.

High current behaviors of extended drain n-typc metal-oxide-semiconductor field effects transistor (EDNMOS) with double polarity source (DPS) for electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection are analyzed. Simulation based contour analyses reveal that combination of bipolar junction transistor operation and deep electron channeling induced by high electron injection gives rise to the second on-state. Therefore, the deep electron channel formation needs to be prevented in order to realize stable and robust ESD protection performance. Based on our analyses, general methodology to avoid the double snapback and to realize stable ESD protection is to be discussed.
냉장고용 증발기 관 내부 형상과 오일순환율이 열전달 성능에 미치는 영향

General domestic refrigerators consist of a compressor, a condenser, an expansion device and an evaporator. Among those, evaporator is important component in refrigeration system because performance of system is mainly decided by evaporation capacity. The objective of this research is analyzing the heat transfer performance of fin-and-tube evaporator with two types of tubes such as the plain and groove to determine the effect of various concentrations of R600a-mineral oil mixture. An experimental apparatus is designed to evaluate heat transfer performance of evaporator. Fin-and-tube heat exchanger is used as an evaporator in the experimental apparatus. In order to define mass flow rate of air, laminar flowmeter is set up. The result shows that increased oil circulation rate reduces the overall heat transfer coefficient. Moreover, the grooved tube has higher heat transfer performance compared with the plain tube up to 27.9%. The power consumption was measured by applying to the actual refrigerator. When the oil circulation rate is 0%, the power consumption of the evaporator with the grooved tube improves about 4.4% compared to the evaporator with the smooth tube.
산화망간이 첨가된 혼합 연마제 실리카 슬러리의 산화막 CMP 특성

논문에서는 1:10으로 희석된 실리카 슬러리에 산화망간(MnO₂) 연마제를 첨가하여 재처리된 혼합연마제 슬러리(Mixed Abrasive Slurry; MAS)의 화학_기계적연마(CMP) 특성을 연구하였다. 최적의 연마 성능을 갖는 슬러리를 설계하기 위해서는 높은 연마율, 하부층에 대한 적절한 연마선택비, 연마 후의 낮은 표면결함, 슬러리의 안정성 등을 얻어야 한다. 산화망간이 첨가된 MAS의 연마 성능은 연마율 및 비균일도와 같은 CMP 성능, 입도 분석, 표면 형상에 대해 평가하였다. 실험결과, 높은 연마율과 낮은 비균일도 측면에서 볼 때 원액 실리카 슬러리와 대등한 슬러리 특성을 얻을 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구에서 제안하는 MnO₂-MAS를 사용하면 고가의 소모재인 슬러리를 절약하는데 매우 유용할 것이다. In this paper, we have studied the chemical mechanical polishing(CMP) characteristics of mixed abrasive silica slurry(MAS) retreated by adding of manganese oxide(MnO₂) abrasives within 1:10 diluted silica slurry. A slurry designed for optimal performance should produce high removal rates, acceptable polishing selectivity with respect to the underlying layer, low surface defects after polishing, and good slurry stability. The polishing performances of MnO₂ abrasive-added MAS are evaluated with respect to their particle size distribution, surface morphology, and CMP performances such as removal rate and non-uniformity. As an experimental result, we obtained the comparable slurry characteristics compared to original silica slurry in the view-point of high removal rate and low non-uniformity. Therefore, our proposed MnO₂-MAS can be useful to save on the high cost of slurry consumption since we used a 1:10 diluted silica slurry.
R600a의 비평형 2상 유동이 증기 압축식 냉동시스템의 단열 모세관 질량 유량에 미치는 영향

General vapor compression refrigeration systems consist of an evaporator, a compressor, a condenser and an expansion device. Among them, capillary tubes are widely used as a expansion device in small scale refrigeration systems such as a household refrigerator. Some previous researchers have reported presence of non-equilibrium two-phase flow of R600a between condenser outlet and capillary inlet despite a subcooled condition. A two-phase flow at capillary inlet causes reduction of mass flow rate in refrigeration system. However, the research of an effect of non-equilibrium two-phase flow on capillary tubes is lacking. In this study, experiments were performed under conditions in which non-equilibrium two-phase flow occurred. Moreover, the effect of the R600a non-equilibrium two-phase flow on the capillary tube was analyzed by comparing mass flow rate correlations of adiabatic capillary tube.
