보안 위협위치에서 재사용 가능한 상태전이도를 이용한 보안요구사항 식별

소프트웨어 개발 과정에서 보안 요구사항 식별은 그 중요성으로 최근에 관심이 주목되고 있다. 그러나 기존 방법들은 보안 요구사항 식별 방법과 절차가 명확하지 않았다. 본 논문에서는 소프트웨어 개발자가 보안 위협 위치의 상태전이도로부터 보안 요구사항을 식별하는 절차를 제안한다. 이과정은 상태전이도를 작성하는 부분과 어플리케이션 의존적인 보안 요구사항을 식별하는 부분으로 구성된다. 상태전이도 작성은 1) 공격자가 소프트웨어 취약성을 이용하여 자산을 공격한다는 것에 기반하여 기존에 발생했던 보안 실패 자료를 이용하여 소프트웨어의 취약성을 위협하는 위치를 식별하고, 2) 식별된 위협 위치에 해당하는 소프트웨어 취약성을 방어, 완화시킬 수 있는 상태전이도를 작성하는 과정으로 이루어진다. 어플리케이션 의존적인 보안 요구사항 식별과정은 1) 기능 요구사항을 분석 한 후, 위협 위치를 파악하고, 각 위협 위치 에 해당하는 상태전이도를 적용하고, 2) 상태전이도를 어플리케이션 의존적인 형태로 수정한 후, 3) 보안 요구사항 추출 규칙을 적용하여 보안요구사항을 작성하는 과정으로 구성된다. 제안한 방법은 소프트웨어 개발자가 소프트웨어 개발 초기에 모델을 적용하여 쉽게 보안 요구사항을 식별하는데 도움을 준다. The security requirements identification in the software development has received some attention recently. However, previous methods do not provide clear method and process of security requirements identification. We propose a process that software developers can build application specific security requirements from state transition diagrams at the security threat location. The proposed process consists of building model and identifying application specific security requirements. The state transition diagram is constructed through subprocesses i) the identification of security threat locations using security failure data based on the point that attackers exploit software vulnerabilities and attack system assets, ii) the construction of a state transition diagram which is usable to protect, mitigate, and remove vulnerabilities of security threat locations. The identification Process of application specific security requirements consist of i) the analysis of the functional requirements of the software, which are decomposed into a DFD(Data Flow Diagram; the identification of the security threat location; and the appliance of the corresponding state transition diagram into the security threat locations, ii) the construction of the application specific state transition diagram, iii) the construction of security requirements based on the rule of the identification of security requirements. The proposed method is helpful to identify the security requirements easily at an early phase of software development.

J2ME MIDlet 사용자 인터페이스 자동생성을 위한 XML언어

XML을 이용한 사용자 인터페이스(UI : User Interface)명세에 관한 연구로 다양한 UI 명세언어(UIDL : User Interface Description Language)들이 등장하였다. 기존의 UIDL들은 웹과 데스크톱 어플리케이션의 UI 명세를 지원하지만, 모바일 어플리케이션을 위한 명세는 지원하지 않는다. 본 논문에서는 자바의 모바일 플랫폼인 J2ME(Java Platform, Micro Edition)의 응용 모델인 MIDlet UI 명세를 위한 MIML(Midlet Interface Markup Language)을 제안한다. 제안한 MIML로부터 MIDlet의 UI와 관련된 자바 코드를 자동으로 생성하기 위한 규칙을 제안하고, 이를 이용하여 MIML을 자동으로 자바코드로 만들어주는 J2MERenderer를 구현하였다. 제안한 MIML은 모바일 UI 명세의 효율성을 제공하고, J2MERenderer는 모바일 어플리케이션의 UI 개발에 생산성과 일관성을 유지하도록 도와준다. Many XML-compliant UIDLs(User Interface Description Languages) have been developed to specify user interfaces. Although previous UIDLs are helpful to describe user interfaces of web and desktop applications, they are not available of developing UI of mobile applications. In this paper, in order to effectively specify user interfaces of MIDlet which is application model on J2ME(Java Platform, Micro Edition), we propose MIML(Midlet Interface Markup Language) and present transformation rules to generate source codes from MIML. Further, we enhance the usability of MIML through J2MERenderer which is a tool using presented rules. The proposed method can specify user interfaces of mobile applications and allow developers to keep productivity and consistency in development phase.

Object Pool 패턴을 이용한 WIPI기반 MVC 모델의 개선

무선 단말기와 같은 제한된 환경에서의 애플리케이션 개발은 대부분 사용자 인터페이스 부분이 차지하고 있다. 사용자 인터페이스의 효과적인 관리를 위한 기법이 연구되어 왔으며 기존의 MVC 모델이 사용되고 있다. MVC 모델은 애플리케이션 개발 시 사용자 인터페이스의 효과적인 관리를 위한 방법을 제공한다. 그러나 제한된 무선 단말기 상에서의 MVC 모델의 적용은 사용자 인터페이스 뷰의 독립성을 위한 과도한 객체 생성으로 작업 프로세스와 메모리 공간의 효율성을 떨어뜨리는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문은 기존 MVC 모델에 Object Pool 패턴을 활용하여 UI 컴포넌트의 재사용이 가능한 개선된 UP-MVC모델을 제안한다. UP-MVC 모델은 무선 단말에서 메모리 리소스 사용의 문제점을 개선하여 모바일 애플리케이션 성능을 높일 수 있다.

사용자 인터페이스 기술은 CLI(Command Line Interfaces), GUI(Graphical User Interfaces)를 거쳐 NUI(Natural User Interfaces)로 발전하고 있다. NUI는 멀티터치, 모션 트래킹, 음성, 스타일러스 등 다양한 입력형식을 사용한다. 기존 GUI 어플리케이션에 NUI를 적용하기 위해서는 이러한 장치관련 라이브러리 추가, 관련 코드 수정, 디버그 등의 과정이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 기존 이벤트 기반 GUI 어플리케이션의 수정 없이 제스처 기반 인터페이스를 적용할 수 있는 모델을 제안한다. 또한 제안한 모델을 명세하기 위한 XML 스키마를 제시하고, 3D 제스처와 마우스 제스처 프로토타입 개발을 통해 제안모델의 활용방안을 보인다. NUI(Natural User Interfaces) has been developed through CLI(Command Line Interfaces) and GUI(Graphical User Interfaces). NUI uses many different input modalities, including multi-touch, motion tracking, voice and stylus. In order to adopt NUI to legacy GUI applications, he/she must add device libraries, modify relevant source code and debug it. In this paper, we propose a gesture-based interface model that can be applied without modification of the existing event-based GUI applications and also present the XML schema for the specification of the model proposed. This paper shows a method of using the proposed model through a prototype.
