과학기술사적 관점에서 바라본 4 체액설(體液說)과 사상의학(四象醫學)이론 체계의 비교 연구

Objective : This study was conducted to compare Sasang Constitutional Medicine (SCM) and Four Humor Theory (FHT). Method : 1. The theoretical comparison was focused on the central pillars of both theories, i.e., the theories of Hippocrates and his successor Galenos as well as Lee Je-ma. 2. Research papers on SCM and FHT were collected as follows. First, relevant papers were searched for using several electronic databases: Pubmed (http://www.pubmed.org.), NDSL (http://www.ndsl.kr/index.do), KISS (http://kiss.ksstudy.com), and RISS (http://www.riss4u.net.). Keywords were ``Sasang``, ``constitution``, ``constitutional medicine``, ``humor theory``, ``Hippokrates``, ``Galenos``, and Dongeuisusebowon.In addition, relevant papers were searched for using the websites of The Korean Society for the History of Medicine(http://medhist.kams.or.kr), The Korean society of Oriental medical classics (http://www.wonjeon.or.kr), The Society of Sasang Constitutional Medicine (http://www.esasang.or.kr/new_home/main.htm),and The Korean Association of Oriental Medical Physiology (http://www.ksomp.or.kr). As a result, a total of 32 papers were included in the final selection. Result & Conclusion : In this study, a comparison was made between FHT and SCM in terms of physiology, pathology and therapy. We showedthat the theories share similarities as well as differences. However, in a practical sense, the two should be characterized based on their differences rather than their similarities. In conclusion, the two have something in common, but overall, they are remarkably different from each other.

의료(醫療) 윤리(倫理) 배경 철학으로서의 삼재(三才) 사상(思想)에 대한 연구(硏究)

This study was carried out to examine that the SamJae Theory(三才思想) was applied for a philosophic background of medical ethics. SamJae theory is not the system of three categories, which is unlike to the meaning of the word 'Sam(三)', but it is the system of two categories with 天(陽) and 地(陰) which are dividing all creations and phenomenons in the universe into two. Nevertheless, the reason why we divide all the universal creations and phenomenons into three, 天, 地 and 人, and also why we give a name 'SamJae' to this theory using the word 'Sam' meaning three, is to emphasize the human free volition that comes from the independent human life in the universe composed of 天(陽) and 地(陰). In other word, the core concept of SamJae theory is not 天(陽) and 地(陰) but 人 which symbolize the independent free volition of human. Therefore, if we try to use SamJae theory as a philosophic background of medical ethics, we can establish a comprehensive theoretical system including the existing ethical theories such as utilitarianism.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to extend indications of Four-Constitution Medicinal formulas by comparing with formulas on Dongeuibogam(東醫寶鑑), focusing on their composition. Methods : 1. We analyzed the composition of Four-Constitution Medicine formula which are mentioned on Donguisusebowon(東醫壽世保元), focusing on their composition. 2. We analyzed the composition of formulas on Dongeuibogam(東醫寶鑑) comparing with 24 formulas for So-Eum type, 17 formulas for So-Yang type, 24 formulas for Tae-Eum type, 2 formulas for Tae-Yang type. Results & Conclusions : 1. We finally selected 14 formulas and its effect as similar formulas with Bojungyikgi-tang, Insamjinpi-tang, Cheongunggyeji-tang, Palmulgunja-tang, Hwanggigyejibuja-tang, Hwanggigyeji-tang for So-Eum type. 2. We finally selected 4 formulas and its effect as similar formulas with Dokwaljihwang-tang, Sukjihwanggosam-tang for So-Yang type.

『방약합편(方藥合編)』 수록(收錄) 처방(處方) 내(內)의 약물(藥物) 조합 빈도(頻度) 연구

Through analyzing the frequencies of medicinal herb combinations in the prescriptions of 『Bangyakhappyeon(方藥合編)』, we could understand the characteristics of prescription composition and author`s medical thoughts. So we conducted this study that analyze combination of 324 medicinal herbs in 467 prescriptions, and found meaningful combinations of 5,045. Among these, the most meaningful combination is the one of 10 herbs, Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fischer, Angelica gigas Nakai, Ziziphus jujube Mille, Atractylodes japonica Koidzumi, Poria cocas Wolf, Zingiber officinale, Rehmanniae radix preparata, Cinnamomum loureirii, Panax ginseng C.A.Meyer, Astragalus membranaceus. This combination is Sibjeondaebo-tang(Shiquandabu-tang) without Cnidium officinale and Paeonia japonica which compose Samul-tang(Siwu-tang). It means this combination is kind of modified Sibjeondaebo-tang(Shiquandabu-tang), which is more effective in tonifying qi than tonifying blood. Prescriptions of 『Bangyakhappyeon(方藥合編)』 involve herbs mostly used to improve weak and frail health and the herbs which are more effective in tonifying qi than tonifying blood. Through this study, we know the author`s one of medical view points on tonifying qi and blood, attaching importance to tonifying qi relatively to tonifying blood.

『溫病條辨』 收錄 處方 內의 藥物 조합 頻度 연구

Through analyzing the frequencies of medicinal herb combinations in the prescriptions of "Wenbingtiaobian(溫病條辨)", we could understand the characteristics of prescription composition and author's medical thoughts. So we conducted this study that analyze combination of 258 medicinal herbs in 206 prescriptions, and found meaningful combinations of 700. Among these, the most meaningful combinations are the two of 8 herbs. One consists of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fischer, Platycodon grandiflorum, Lonicera japonica Thunberg, Sojae Semen Praeparatum, Mentha piperascens (Malinv.) Holmes, Forsythia suspensa, Phyllostachys nigra var henonis, Schizonepeta tenuifolia var. japonic, the other consists of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fischer, Platycodon grandiflorum, Lonicera japonica Thunberg, Mentha piperascens (Malinv.) Holmes, Forsythia suspensa, Arctium lappa, Phyllostachys nigra var henonis, Schizonepeta tenuifolia var. japonica. The former is Yeonkyo-san without Arctium lapp, the letter is Yeonkyo-san without Sojae Semen Praeparatum. It means these combinations are kind of modified Yeonkyo-san which is effective in outthrustting through the exterior with pungent-cool and clearing heat and detoxify. In conclusion, prescriptions of "Wenbingtiaobian(溫病條辨)" involve herbs mostly used to outthrust through the exterior with pungent-cool and clear heat and detoxify. Through this study, we know the author' s one of medical view points on outthrustting through the exterior with pungent-cool and clearing heat and detoxify.

『동의보감(東醫寶鑑)』을 이용한 『동의수세보원(東醫壽世保元)』 수록(收錄) 사상방(四象方)의 적응증(適應證)확장에 관한 연구(硏究) -보중익기탕(補中益氣湯)을 예(例)로 들어-

『Donguisusebowon(東醫壽世保元)』 doesn`t have pretty large quantity of contents, so indications of Four-Constitution Medicine formulas on that medical book are small. Therefore, indications of Four-Constitution Medicine formula need to be extended for broader clinical use of Four-Constitution Medicine. There would be some methods to do that, and we could review the literatures that Four-Constitution Medicine formulas are based on. We reviewed Bojungyikgi-tang on 『Dongeuibogam (東醫寶鑑)』, and we found that if the Four-Constitution Medicine formula is based on Sanghan formula(傷寒方) or non-classical formula(後世方), it is worth adding more indications of base formulas to those of Four-Constitution Medicine formula. For exmaple, Indications of Bojungyikgi-tang for So-Eum type could be extended by indications of non-classical formula(後世方) Bojungyikgi-tang and modified formula(加減方) Bojungyikgi-tang on Dongeuibogam, We supposed 23 indications of non-classical formula(後世方) Bojungyikgi-tang, and 20 indications of modified formula(加減方) Bojungyikgi-tang as possible indications of Bojungyikgi-tang for So-Eum type.

동의보감(東醫寶鑑)을 이용한 소양인(少陽人) 형방패독산(荊防敗毒散)의 적응증(適應證) 확장 연구(硏究)

Indications of Hyeongbangpaedok-san for Soyang-type on Donguisusebowon are small. Therefore, indications of Hyeongbangpaedok-san for Soyang-type need to be extended for broader clinical use. There would be some methods to do that, and we could review Dongeuibogam that Four-Constitution Medicine formulas are based on. We reviewed Hyeongbangpaedok-san, Insampaedok-san which is the origin of Hyeongbangpaedok-san, and their modified formula(加減方 on Dongeuibogam . As a result, we supposed 12 indications of non-classical formula(後世方) Hyeongbangpaedok-san, 2 indications of modified formula of non-classical formula Hyeongbangpaedok-san, and 12 indications of Insampaedok-san and its modified formula as possible indications of Hyeongbangpaedok for Soyang-type.

『黃帝內經(황제내경),素問(소문)』에 수록된 五臟原穴鍼法(오장원혈침법)의 적응증 선별 연구

Objective: This study was conducted to sort the five viscera symptoms which can be applied to Five Viscera Source Point Acupuncture, based on Suwen(素問). Method: 1. We selected and analyzed the sentences from Suwen, which included the five viscera symptoms. And then we sorted the five viscera symptoms which can be applied to Five Viscera Source Point Acupuncture. 2. These words - ‘Liver’, ‘Heart’, ‘Spleen’, ‘Lung’, ‘Kidney’, ‘Reverting yin(厥陰)’, ‘Lesser yin(少陰)’, ‘Greater yin(太陰)’, ‘First Yin’, ‘Second Yin’, ‘Third Yin’, ‘Pericardium’ and ‘Extreme yin’ - were used as search terms. Result & Conclusion : Forty-three symptoms of liver which can be applied to Five Viscera Source Point Acupuncture were extracted, twenty-one symptoms of heart, twenty-five symptoms of spleen, twenty-eight symptoms of lung, and forty symptoms of kidney.
