A Study on the Ionogram Inversion Algorithm Using Mean Value Theorem

A description of ionogram inversion algorithm developed for obtaining ionospheric electron density profile from ionospheric sounding datas (ionograms) in real time using mean value theorem is given and the methods for determining starting points and correcting valley effects are considered. The results derived from this algorithm are compared with the theoretically simulated datas, and the real electron density profiles from the measured ionograms taken at Radio research Laboratory in Korea are given to show its practical use.
DS-CDMA 시스템을 위한 적응 혼합 검색형 동기획득 알고리즘의 성능 분석

본 논문에서는 DS-CDMA 시스템을 위한 적응 혼합 검색형 동기획득 알고리즘의 성능을 저속 페이딩 환경에서 해석한다. 먼저, CDMA 순방향 링크에서의 간섭의 불안정성 (nonstationarity)에 효율적으로 대처하기 위해 CFAR (constant false alarm rate) 특성을 갖도록 동기획득 알고리즘을 설계한다. 설계된 알고리즘의 평균 동기획득 시간 (mean acquisition time)을 이론적으로 해석하고 주파수 선택성 레일라이 페이딩 환경에서 신호탐지 확률, 탐지실패 확률, 및 오경보 율을 유도한다. 성능 해석 시 저속 페이딩 환경을 고려해, 수신 신호의 포락선이 PDI(post-detection integration) 구간 동안 일정하다고 가정한다. 끝으로 설계된 동기획득 알고리즘 대하여 부 윈도우 (sub-window)의 크기, PDI 크기, 판정 임계치 등에 따른 동기획득 성능의 변화를 cdma2000 환경을 고려하여 분석한다. We analyze the performance of an adaptive hybrid search code acquisition algorithm for direct-sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) systems under slowly-moving mobile environments. The code acquisition algorithm is designed to provide the desired feature of constant false alarm rate (CFAR) to cope with nonstationarity of the interference in CDMA forward links. An analytical expression for the mean acquisition time is first derived and the probabilities of detection, miss, and false alarm are then obtained for frequency-selective Rayleigh fading environments. The fading envelope of a received signal is assumed to be constant over the duration of post-detection integration (PDI), considering slow fading environments. Finally, the performance of the designed code acquisition algorithm shall be evaluated numerically to examine the effect of some design parameters such as the sub-window size, size of the PDI, decision threshold, and so on, considering cdma2000 environments.
Simultaneous Addition and Subtraction of Optical Images by Using the Extended Incoherent Source

A technique of optical image synthesis with an extended incoherent source is presented and compared with the coherent method. A holographic diffraction grating is fabricated by using Michelson interferometer, and by equalizing the 8th-order to the 2nd-order diffraction efficiency, complex amplitude addition and subtracdtion of optical images are simultaneously realized. The experiment shows that the quality of synthesized optical images in the incoherent method is improved in comparison with that of the coherent method by suppressing the coherent artifact noise.

This paper attempt to detail the specific negotiating objectives of the Korean agriculture sector in the New Round of agriculture negotiations. The principal goal here is to review the possible architecture of that agriculture negotiations, the roles that Korean will play in it, and the relationship between the round and other initiatives in agriculture policy. To attempt an examination here of the specific Korean negotiating objectives with regard to modalities of negotiations, market access including MMA and special safeguard, domestic levels of support, export subsidies. Finally I mentioned the issues surrounding sanitary and phyto-sanitary barriers to trade, technical barriers to trade and the international protection of intellectual property.

대역 확산 신호를 위한 고유치 해석 기반의 초 분해능 지연 시간 추정 알고리즘

본 논문에서는 대역 확산 신호를 위한 고유치 해석 기반의 초 분해능 지연 시간 추정(super-resolution time delay estimation) 알고리즘을 개발하고 각 알고리즘의 성능을 비교, 분석한다. 먼저, 고유치 해석 기반의 대표적인 도래각 추정 알고리즘인 MUSIC, ESPRIT, Minimum-Norm을 이용하여 초 분해능 지연 시간 추정 알고리즘을 개발하고 직접 대역확산 방식의 ISO/IEC 24730-2.1 실시간 위치 추적 시스템 (real-time locating system: RTLS)에 적용하여 RTLS 환경에서 각 알고리즘의 성능을 시뮬레이션을 통해 비교, 분석한다. 시뮬레이션 결과로부터 세 알고리즘 모두 레일리이 분해능 한계 이내로 수신되는 다중 신호의 지연 시간을 모두 분리, 추정함을 알 수 있었다. 그러나, RTLS 환경에서는 MUSIC과 Minimum-Norm의 성능은 서로 비슷하나 ESPRIT은 두 알고리즘에 비해 성능이 현격히 저하됨을 알 수 있다. In this paper the super-resolution time delay estimation algorithms based on eigen-analysis are developed for spread spectrum signals along with their comparative performance analysis. First, we shall develop super-resolution time delay estimation algorithms using the representative eigen-analysis based AOA (angle-of-arrival) estimation algorithms such as MUSIC, Minimum-Norm, and ESPRIT, and apply them to the ISO/IEC 24730-2.1 real-time locating system (RTLS) employing a direct sequence spread spectrum (DS-SS) technique to compare their performances in RTLS environments. Simulation results illustrate that all the three algorithms can resolve multipath signals whose delay differences are even smaller than the Rayleigh resolution limit. Simulation results also show that MUSIC and Minimum-Norm provide a similar performance while ESPRIT is inferior to both algorithms in RTLS environments.
