조명의 영향을 최소화하기 위한 전처리 기법이 적용된 얼굴 인식

There are many factors for face recognition. Two of those are orientation and brightness of illumination. In early studies of face recognition, with fixing these factors to good conditions the goal of research was focused on improving recognition rate itself. But they are very important factors to be solved for implementing face recognition system. In this paper, two methods were proposed to minimize the influence of illumination. One is the local difference filter to reduce the influence of variation of illumination. The other is weight function considering the horizontal difference of intensity. Applying two proposed methods, the resultant recognition rate revealed 86.5% for 275 test images.

취업여부 및 취업모의 근무형태에 따른수면문제, 심리적 디스트레스, 양육 스트레스 및 결혼만족 비교

본 연구는 영유아기 자녀를 둔 취업모의 근무형태가 수면문제, 심리적 디스트레스, 양육 스트레스, 결혼만족도 수준에 차이를 야기하는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 경기도 이천시에 거주하는 5세 미만의 자녀를 둔 어머니를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고 그 결과 다음과 같은 연구결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 비취업, 주간근무, 순환교대근무 등 취업여부 및 근무형태에 따라 수면문제, 양육 스트레스, 심리적 디스트레스, 결혼만족도에 유의미한 차이가 발견되었다. 둘째, 주간근무 취업모에 한해서 수면문제는 심리적 디스트레스를 경로로 결혼만족도에 영향을 미치고 있었다. 이러한 연구결과들은 취업모들이 경험하는 신체적ㆍ심리적 문제를 진단함과 동시에 순환교대근무와 같이 열악한 환경에서 근무하고 있는 취업모들에 대한 사회적 관심을 촉구하고 정책적 대안마련에 이론적ㆍ실증적 근거를 제공한다는 데서 의의가 있다. This study examines whether working mother’s sleep health, modified by employment status and working pattern, affects psychological distress, parenting stress, or marital satisfaction. A survey was conducted of mothers with children under five and found the following. First, mothers who are unemployed, work during the day, or work in rotating shifts show differences in their sleep health, psychological distress, parenting stress, and marital satisfaction. Second, sleep health affects marital satisfaction through psychological distress and parenting stress. This study makes a significant contribution to the literature in that it examines working mother’s physical and psychological problems, raising social interest in working mothers who work in poor surroundings. Moreover, it provides a theoretical, empirical basis for preparing a political alternative.

저소득 독거 노인의 여가활동 경험에 관한 질적 연구 - 노인여가복지시설 이용 경험자를 중심으로 -

본 연구는 심층 인터뷰를 통해 저소득 독거노인의 여가활동 참여 경험과 이들의 여가활동 참여를 가로막는 다양한 장벽 및 여가가 주는 삶의 의미에 대해 구체적으로 살펴보고, 저소득 독거노인의 여가활동 참여를 제고하기 위한 정책 방안을 모색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 서울시에 거주하고 있는 저소득 독거노인 5명을 대상으로 심층면담을 실시하였으며, 질적분석을 통해 10개의 주제 묶음을 선정하였다. 그 결과 여가활동을 가로막는 장벽들로 “건강의 문제”, “경제적인 어려움으로 인한 여유 없음”, “여가 프로그램의 부족”, “포기하는 마음”을 확인하였다. 대상자들은 여가활동이 부족한 일상을 “집에만 있는 무료함”과 “속상한 마음”으로 표현하고 있었으며 동시에 여가활동에 “참여하고 싶은 마음”과 “배우고 싶은 마음” 등의 적극적인 욕구를 드러내기도 하였다. 여가활동이 대상자에게 주는 의미는 “생활의 즐거움”과 “사람들과 어울리는 기쁨”으로 나타났다. 이상과 같은 연구결과를 바탕으로 저소득 독거노인의 여가활동 참여의 장벽을 낮추고 수요자 중심의 적극적인 여가 향유권을 제고하기 위한 정책 방안을 논의하였다. This study aims to investigate the experiences of low-income elderly individuals participating in leisure activities, the barriers they face to participating in such activities, and the significance of leisure activities to them. The study conducted in-depth interviews with 5 elderly people from low-income families living in Seoul, and qualitative analysis identified 10 key topics. The first four topics were identified as barriers to participating in activities, including “health problems,” “financial difficulties,” “lack of available leisure programs,” and “feelings of resignation”. Participants expressed feelings of “boredom” and “disappointment” with their daily lives due to the lack of leisure activities, while also expressing a strong desire to participate and learn new activities. The significance of leisure activities to the participants was found to be “the joy of living” and “the pleasure of socializing” Based on these findings, policy suggestions were presented to reduce the barriers to leisure activities for low-income elderly individuals and to enhance their right to actively enjoy leisure activities.

A period of winter has shortened and a period of summer has lengthened in Korea because .the climate has become a subtropical climate lately, which is contrary to a temperate climate in past years. Furthermore, a discomfort index is getting higher in summer because of high humidity. Therefore, the use of an air conditioner has increased steadily and the electric usage in summer has highly risen annually. Since this situation is unavoidable to live in Korea, it is required to find efficient methods to develop the air conditioners. One of the methods which was attempted in this study was an improvement of the efficiency for a room air conditioner(RAC) by redesigning the outlet blade. The best design has been selected in this study by examining the change of mass flow rate and direction of the cold air for the improved efficiency after redesigning the outlet blade. A commercial software, FLUENT, has been used to analyze the phenomena. Finally, an existing model has been compared with the redesigned model to confirm the improved efficiency.
