Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura is a potentially life-threatening condition characterised by thrombocytopenia and mediated by an autoimmune mechanism. Several recent studies have suggested that an association exists between H. pylori eradication and improvement in platelet count in a significant proportion of patients with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura. This study confirmed the efficacy of H. pylori eradication in increasing the platelet count in steroid refractory idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura patients. Eradication therapy is simple and inexpensive, with limited toxicity and the advantage of avoiding long-term immunosuppressive treatment.
건강기능식품 기능성 원료로써 장흥 차조기 열수 추출물의 지표성분인 로즈마린산 분석법 검증

차조기 열수 추출물을 개별인정형 건강기능식품 기능성 원료로 개발하기 위하여 지표성분 표준화를 위한 rosmarinic acid의 분석법 설정과 분석법에 대한 밸리데이션을 실시하였다. 1% acetic acid가 첨가된 water와 methanol을 이동상으로 하고 Zorbax extended-C18(4.6×150 mm, 5 μm) 칼럼을 사용하여 기울기 용리(gradient elution) 방법으로 분석하였다. 본 연구에서는 분석법을 확립하고 분석법에 대하여 특이성, 직선성, 정확성과 정밀성 그리고 회수율에 대하여 확인하였다. Rosmarinic acid의 검량선은 R2=0.9995로 좋은 선형성을 보였으며 정량한계와 검출한계는 각각 1.2 μg/mL와 0.36 μg/mL였다. 일내와 일간 분석에서 상대 표준편차(RSD)는 각각 3.21%와 1.43% 미만으로 나왔다. 정밀성 측정 결과에서는 97.04~98.98%로 나왔고, RSD는 0.25~1.97%였다. 그러므로 HPLC를 이용한 rosmarinic acid의 분석법이 차조기 열수 추출물 기능성원료 표준화를 위한 적합한 시험법임이 검증되었다. 본 시험법에 따라 분석한 차조기 열수 추출물 내의 rosmarinic acid의 함량은 세 lot를 3회 분석하였을 때 평균 0.03%로 나왔다. 따라서 본 연구를 통하여 확립된 rosmarinic acid의 분석법이 차조기 열수 추출물 개별인정형 건강기능식품 기능성 원료 개발을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 것으로 사료된다. This study attempted to establish an HPLC analysis method for determination of marker compounds as a part of material standardization for the development of health functional food materials from Perilla frutescens Britton var. acuta Kudo. The quantitative determination method of rosmarinic acid as a marker compound of P. frutescens Britton var. acuta Kudo extract (PFE) was optimized by HPLC analysis using a C18 column (4.6×150 mm, 5 μm) with 0.1% acetic acid as the elution gradient and methanol as the mobile phase at a flow rate of 1 mL/min and detection wavelength of 280 nm. The HPLC/UV method was applied successfully to quantification of the marker compound in PFE after validation of the method with linearity, accuracy, and precision. The method showed high linearity in the calibration curve at a coefficient of correlation (R2) of 0.9995, and the limit of detection and limit of quantitation were 0.36 μg/mL and 1.2 μg/mL, respectively. Relative standard deviation (RSD) values of data from intra- and inter-day precision were less than 3.21% and 1.43%, respectively. Recovery rate test at rosmarinic acid concentrations of 12.5, 25 and 50 μg/mL scored between 97.04~98.98% with RSD values from 0.25~1.97%. These results indicate that the established HPLC method is very useful for the determination of marker compound in PFE to develop a health functional material.

Available lipid emulsions made from soybean or safflower oil are classified as long chain triglyceride (LCT). In contrast, medium chain triglycerides (MCT) have different physical properties and are metabolized by other pathways. Because the medium chain fatty acids are smaller than long-chain fatty acids, they are more water soluble and metabolized faster. To compare of stability the two type of total nutrient admixture (TNA), authors studied in 4 types of formular TNA based on LCT (Intralipose) and MCT/LCT based TNAs had smaller particle sizes when compared with LCT based TNA without significance, but had no significant difference in appearance, pH, hyperoxides and osmolarity. Therefore, We conclude that two types of TNAs were stable for 3 days at room temperature and under refrigeration. In addition to, MCT/LCT (1:1, IntraMCT) at room temperature and under refrigeration (4℃). In results, MCT/LCT based TNAs are more physicochemically stable and available to patients than LCT based TNAs.

In our ongoing efforts to reduce drug expenditure, we are planning to the wound-rounding system by pharmacists. The purpose of the wound-rounding system were 1) education of nurses about drug storing conditions, 2) understanding of drug consuming pattern, 3) managing of drug that was not used for patients. We are expect some benefits in various area such as service for patients, hospital management and raising of pharmacist degree.
Ranitidine HCE정제이 함량균일성 및 용출성 평가

Ranitidine is a histamine H₂-receptor antagonist. The drug competitively inhibits the action of histamine H₂ receptors of parietal cells, reducing gastric acid secretion under daytime and nocturnal basal conditions and also when stimulated by food, insulin, amino acid, histamine, or pentagastrin. Ranitidine is used for the short term treatment of endoscopically or radiographically confirmed active duodenal ulcers and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome etc. Drug effect is depend on bioavailability of preparations and also bioavailability is depend on dissolution rate and content uniformity. This study was attempted to evaluate bioavailability of commercial ranitidine HCI tablets. The dissolution test was conducted in artificial gastric juice and artificial intestinal juice using K.P 1 method with three ranitidine HCI preparations (A, B and C) which were pharmaceutically equivalent. The result as following:1) The dissolution rate in artificial gastric juice was higher in the order three different brands A>B>C 2) The dissolution rate in artificial intestinal juice was higher in the order three different brands A>B>C 3) Content uniformity of three different brands was better in such order as B>A>C 4) There was no relationship between dissolution rate and content uniformity
