Estimation of nuclear heating by delayed gamma rays from radioactive structural materials of HANARO

To improve the accuracy and safety of irradiation tests in High flux Advanced Neutron ApplicationReactOr (HANARO), the nuclear energy deposition rate, which is called nuclear heating, was estimatedfor an irradiation capsule with an iridium sample in the irradiation hole in order. The gamma raysemitted from the radioisotopes (RIs) of the structural materials such as flow tubes of fuel assemblies andheavy water reflector tank were considered as radiation source. Using the ORIGEN2.1 code, emissionrates of delayed gamma rays were calculated in consideration of the activation procedure for 8 years and2 months of HANARO operation. Calculated emission rates were used as a source term of delayed gammarays in the MCNP6 code. By using the MCNP code, the nuclear heating rates of the irradiation capsules inthe inner core, outer core, and heavy water reflector tank were estimated. Calculated nuclear heating inthe inner core, outer core, and heavy water reflector tank were 200e260 mW, 80e100 mW, and 10 mW,respectively. © 2018 Korean

An engine for marine propulsion and power generation consists of several cylinder liner-piston sets. And the oil groove is on the cylinder liner inside wall for the lubrication between a piston and cylinder. The machining process of oil groove has been carried by manual work so far, because of the diversity of the shape. Recently, we developed an automatic grinding robot system for oil groove machining of engine cylinder liners. It can covers various types of oil grooves and adjust its position by itself. The grinding robot system consists of a robot, a machining tool head, sensors and a control system. The robot automatically recognizes the cylinder liner's inside configuration by using a laser displacement sensor and a vision sensor after the cylinder liner is placed on a set-up equipment.

용접 장치 설계 시 고려해야 할 중요한 요소 중의 하나는 용접 궤적과 토치의 간격 오차를 줄이는 것이다. 특히 원호와 직선이 결합된 용접 궤적의 경우는 변곡점에서 오차의 영향이 크게 작용한다. 본 연구의 대상은 선체 블록 내부 탱크와 탱크 사이의 유체(물, 기름 등) 이동을 방지하기 위하여 설치되는 커버플레이트(Cover Plate) 용접으로서, 커버플레이트 원호용접은 위보기, 수직, 아래보기의 3 가지 자세를 동시에 포함한다. 본 연구는 작업 궤적의 각 구간 사이에서 발생하는 토치의 궤적 오차를 최소화할 수 있는 2 축 소형 용접 장치 개발에 관한 것으로서, 원호와 직선 부 사이의 변곡점에서 발생하는 토치 궤적 오차를 최소화하기 위한 구동 메커니즘 도출 과정에 대하여 기술하였다. This study investigated a mechanism for reducing the tracking error in the tangent area of a circular and linear path. A portable welding device, called a carriage, has been designed for a specific welding path by considering the distance error deviation. This welding carriage for vertical cover plate welding consists of a rail, a welding torch and the carriage body itself.

This study deals with a mechanism in order to reduce the tracking error at the tangent area of circular and linear path. A portable welding device, called a carriage, has designed for a specific welding path through the comparison of distance error deviation. The welding carriage for a vertical cover plate welding consists of a set of rail, a welding torch and carriage body itself.
