      • 산악트램 객실 쾌적성 향상을 위한 저진동 랙앤피니언 추진장치 개발

        급구배 등판을 위해 산악트램에서 적용하는 랙앤피니언 추진장치는 기어가 맞물리면서 발생하는 진동에 의해 객실 쾌적성을 저해하게 되어 관광객들의 불만이 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존 랙앤피니언 추진 장치의 진동을 저감하기 위해 저진동 랙앤피니언 추진장치를 개발하고 시험체를 제작하여 차륜접촉 시험기를 통해 그 효과를 확인하였다. 기존 강체 랙앤피니언 추진장치에 비해 탄성 랙앤피니언 추진장치는 진동이 1/20 이하로 저감됨을 확인할 수 있었고, 탄성체의 교체를 편리하게 하기 위해 착탈 방식으로 설계하여 유지보수성도 향상시켰다. 탄성 랙앤피니언 추진장치를 산악트램에 적용하였을 시에 진동을 획기적으로 감소시켜 객실 쾌적성 향상에 크게 기여할 수 있으리라 전망된다. Rack&pinion traction system on mountain tram for climbing steep gradient tracks makes worse the comfortability of cabin because of the vibration generated by gear contact. That is the main reason for complaint of tourists. In this study, to reduce the vibration level of the previous rack&pinion traction system, a low vibration rack&pinion traction system was developed and test models were made so that it could be verified by a wheel-rail contact testing machine. The vibration level induced by the low vibration rack&pinion traction system was 20 times less than that by the conventional rack&pinion traction system. This low vibration rack&pinion traction system can be maintained easily because simple replacement of resilient body is possible. If this resilient rack&pinion traction system is applied to a mountain tram, the vibration and noise level in cabins is reduced drastically so that the comfortability of tourists can be increased.

        급구배 운행용 산악트램은 주행저항 증가에 따른 점착력 확보를 위해 랙앤피니언 추진장치를 적용해야 하고, 저속에서 충분한 견인력 확보를 위해 적절한 견인전동기를 선택해야 한다. 본 연구에서는 급구배 운행 산악트램의 개발을 위해 먼저 랙앤피니언 추진장치를 부착한 대차시스템의 주요사양을 제안하고, 기본설계를 수행하였다. 구배 상황에 따른 주행저항과 견인전동기의 추진력 곡선을 작성하고 구동조건 및 속도별로 추진력과 소요 마력을 추정하였다. 특히 랙앤피니언 추진장치의 문제점인 진동·소음에 따른 승차감 저하를 개선하기 위해 탄성기어를 적용한 윤축 조립도를 제안하였다. 개발된 대차시스템을 적용한 산악트램이 200‰까지 등판할 수 있음을 확인하였다. Mountain tram adopts rack and pinion system which exerts large friction force to overcome increased running resistance on high gradient track. Proper section of traction motor is important to secure sufficient traction force in lower speed range. In this paper, in order to develop a mountain tram system, a bogie system equipped with rack and pinion traction system is introduced and its major specification is suggested. Curves for running resistance and traction force of motor are drawn to estimate the required traction force and power at each running condition and speed. In particular, to prevent excessive noise and vibration in the rack and pinion system, an assembly of wheel and axle with resilient gear is proposed. It is confirmed that the proposed bogie system can climb a mountain with gradient of more than 180‰.

      • 미국 뉴욕전동차용 대차 프레임 개발

        The truck frame of railway vehicle is important structure supporting the various loadings during running on the railway. The verification of sufficient strength on truck frame is essential in case of EMU carrying many people. To verify the safety of truck frame, the actual loading conditions should be considered ast design stage. This paper is describing that the development procedure of truck frame and bolster changed from existing casting frame to new welded frame for New-York EMU, also introducing the design regulations for new welded truck frame. Additionally the dynamic accelerations on the truck were measured to insure the actual loadings on service running condition, and the procedure and results of this test are described in this paper.

      • A Early-flowering Freesia ‘Sunny Star’ with Yellow Single Petals

        Freesia (Freesia hybrida Hort.) ‘Sunny Star’ was bred for the cut flower in the National Institute of Horticultural Herbal Science, RDA, in 2020. The freesia hybrid ‘13C3-49-27’ was crossed and selected from a seedling of ‘Gold Fantasy’ and ‘Golden party’ in 2013. Morphological characteristics of the ‘13C3-27-46’ was selected and tested for 4 years from 2014 to 2019, and then it was named ‘Sunny Star’ in 2020. ‘Sunny Star’ have yellow (RHS, Y12A) single petals, and the average flower width is 6.6 cm. The growth of the plant shows vigorous. The average number of floret per stalk was 15.0, and stalk was 11.3 cm length that of control cultivar ‘Soleil’, 14.3 and 9.3cm length, respectively. The average days to first flowering of ‘Sunny Star’ is 118.3 days and it is faster than 25 days that of control cultivar ‘Soleil’. It’s average yield and vase life is 5.3 and 9.3 days, respectively.
