        일개 외상외과에서의 중증외상환자 1년 치료 경험 분석

        Purpose: Recently, social interest in an organized trauma system for the treatment of patients has been increasing in government and academia and the establishment of trauma center is being considered across the country. However, establishing such a system has not been easy in Korea, because enormous experiences and resources are necessary. The objectives of this study were (1) to estimate a trauma patient`s demands during the course of treatment and (2) to provide appropriate direction for trauma centers to be established in Korea. Methods: The records of 207 patients who were admitted to the Department of Trauma Surgery in Ajou University Medical Center due to trauma were retrospectively reviewed for a 1 year period from March 2010 to February 2011. Patients were reviewed for general characteristics, number of hospital days, numbers and kinds of surgeries, numbers and kinds of consultations, ISS (Injury Severity Score) and number of patients with ISS more than 15. Results: All 207 patients were enrolled. The average number of hospital days was 36.7 days. The ICU stay was 15.9 days, and the general ward stay was 20.8 days. Admitted patients occupied 9.02 beds in ICU and 11.80 beds in the general ward per day. The average number of surgeries per patient was 1.4, and surgery at the Department of Trauma Surgery was most common. Number of consultations per patient was 14.23, and consultations with orthopedic surgeons were most common. The average ISS was 18.6. The number of patients with ISS more than 15 was 141 (61.8%) and the average number of patients treated per trauma surgeon as a major trauma patient was 94.3. The number of mortalities was 20, and the mortality rate was 9.7%. Conclusion: To reduce mortality and to provide proper treatment of patients with major trauma, hospitals need some number of beds, especially in the ICU, to treat patients and to prepare them for emergent surgery. An appropriate number of trauma surgeons and various specialists for consultation are also needed. (J Korean Soc Traumatol 2011;24:37-44)

        시장 구조와 아케이드의 형태에 따른 재래시장의 환기성능 분석

        Many traditional markets in Korea have been remodeled into arcade-type malls. The openings along the arcade roof are an important design factor that makes the marketplace more comfortable, healthy, and safe. Thus, a wind tunnel method and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model analyses have been conducted to determine the optimal openings in terms of size and location. A 1/20-scaled model for an arcade-type traditional market was constructed. Experiments were also constructed in a wind tunnel. The ventilation performance was analyzed with the opening ratios of 100% and 0% of the roofs. The two kinds of wind directions were also examined. In this study, to validate and quantify the air exchange rate in the model, SF6 as a tracer gas was employed. The tracer gas was released into the scaled model and the concentration of the gas within the model was monitored to predict air change rates. The gas was injected at a constant rate during the experiment and its concentration was measured with a precise gas monitor. The wind tunnel experiment was used to validate the CFD model. This validated CFD model was used for many analyses, which reviewed various design parameters of the arcade roofs. Through these validations, the optimized opening design is offered.

        테란바그(terrain vague)의 활용에 관한 연구

        Contemporary society has experienced ceaseless changes by various activities throughout the city, and is repeating growth, development and change with time. These days, development of digital information technology and media is changing the space structure of contemporary society, and thus the concept of space is changing as well. As such the meaning of 'space' that we frequently use is used so diversely and ambiguously, and is being restructured from something fixed to something uncertain, from physical thing to non-physical thing, from something ponderous to light thing, from something eternal to temporary thing, from clear thing to ambiguous thing. In the course of such changes, the city is seeing occurrence of spaces that are in nearly deserted or desolated condition or spaces of which even the existence itself is not recognized due to the evolution of industrial structure and economic pursuit etc. Therefore, this study has the purpose to seek for the understanding and potential of space ambiguity based on the two locational meanings: vestige of existing disappearing functions and change of city. In addition, this study also intends to propose the potential that the characteristics of space ambiguity of spaces which grew degenerated failing to merge into changes of the time may be understood and utilized in a new perspective of place that contemporary cities demand.

        Statistically surveyed data is one of the most important supporting measure in policy making because it represents the status of surveyed objects. But in Korea, we do not have appropriate statistical data and analyzed one from existing data in the building sector. So, the purpose of this study is to supply the analyzed data about status of housing construction and energy consumption from Housing Survey and Energy Survey and to find the way of using this data as policy supporting feature for energy efficiency in residential building. From the results of analyzed data, aged detached houses should be the main object of energy efficient policy in the existing building field. The most efficient and inefficient heating system type in house were found, efficient one is city gas type and inefficient one is central heating system. And an improving methods from present statistical surveys to the architectural supporting data are suggested.

      • 실버세대를 위한 독서도우미 GUI디자인 제안

        의학기술의 발달과 생활수준의 향상으로 인간의 평균수명은 계속 늘어나고, 이에 따라 65세 이상의 고령인구도 해마다 늘어나고 있다. 과거 노인이라고 한정지어 불리던 대상은 실버세대라 표현되고 있으며 이것은 노인이라는 단어가 갖는 부정적 이미지를 없애기 위해 사용되고 있다. 뉴 실버세대는 실버세대와 달리 소일거리로 여생을 보내지 않고 적극적으로 일자리를 개척하고, 스포츠·여행 등 건강과 여가를 즐기기 위한 동적인 활동에도 적극적이다. 특히 여가생활과 자기발전에 많은 투자를 하고 있으며 뉴 실버세대의 노화로 인해 불편해진 활동들을 보완해주기 위한 많은 제품들이 개발되고 있다. 최근 실버세대의 뉴미디어 활용도에 관한 연구를 살펴보면 인터넷과 핸드폰을 사용하는 노인인구는 급격하게 증가하고 있으나 여전히 미디어 활용도에 있어서 가장 뒤처지는 세대라고 한다. 이것은 실버세대의 경제적 능력이나 교육수준에서 오는 문제점이라기보다는 실버세대를 고려하지 않은 디자인으로 사용성에 어려움이 있거나 대부분의 문서나 서적이 실버세대가 지식을 필요한 정보습득을 위해서는 작은 활자로 이루어져 있기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 실버세대의 시력저하로 인한 독서활동의 어려움을 돕기 위한 비추미 기기의 GUI 디자인을 제안하였다. FGI를 통하여 실버세대가 선호하는 디자인 성향을 분석하고 도출된 결론을 토대로 디자인에 반영하였다. As technology is becoming more prevalent and indeed more necessary in everyday life, people has recognized the need to improve accessibility to computers and the Internet. The elderly are subject to the same education and income impediments to this technology as the rest of the population. Public, private, and industry-specific initiatives to address these barriers are beginning to emerge, and are necessary to achieve universal accessibility. In addition to accessibility, the usability of this technology by people with different disabilities, cultures, languages, and personalities is also an important goal. The elderly are subject to degradations in certain cognitive, perceptual, and motor skills that can make using technology difficult. More research is needed to fully understand the effects of these impairments on various types of hardware and software. However, user-interface designers can begin to address many of these impairments with simple design guidelines that benefit other demographic groups as well. Supporting universal usability in this way will ensure that the elderly can take advantage of all the opportunities afforded by technology, and that the rest of the population can use technology to take advantage of all the skills, knowledge, and creativity that the rapidly increasing population of elderly people have to offer.
