Sexiness is the image of a person who attracts attention regardless of his/her age, and today’s society has created a more positive impression by transforming the image into something others consider even more attractive. Consequently, we begin to take interest in makeup,-a means of portraying a good impression. Eyebrow makeup in particular, being at the center of the determining factor of a good facial image, can be thought of as the makeup that can most effectively transform one’s image. The purpose of this study was to analyze the difference in perceived sexiness depending on the general perception of eyebrow makeup. This study produced an eyebrow stimulus that applied the average rate of change in an image transformation of different eyebrows in order to raise the objective credibility of the sensibility evaluation so it could determine the figure of influence that eyebrows had on facial impressions. The research results showed that the majority of female university students believed that eyebrows were an effective means of expression in changing facial images and attributed a higher mature and sexy image if the average ratio of change was higher. The study, could also identify that a sexy image was perceived when the average rate of change was between 0.39~0.44. In addition, when the gradient of the shape of the viewers’ own eyebrows was low, it could be verified that they perceived an image to be sexy from seeing eyebrows with a relatively high gradient.

본 논문에서는 항공기를 이용하여 지진이나 쓰나미가 발생한 광범위한 재난 지역이나 인터넷 오지에서의 무선 인터넷 서비스를 제공하기 위한 글로벌 무선통신망의 구축 가능성에 대해 논의한다. 먼저 한국, 일본, 유럽, 미국의 상공 위를 지나가는 항공기의 운항 데이터를 수집하고 무선통신 장치를 탑재한 항공기는 항상 일정 지역을 대상으로 무선통신 서비스를 제공한다고 가정한 후 각 지역에서 항공기를 통해 어느 정도의 범위로 무선통신 서비스가 가능한지 계산하기 위한 서비스 영역 계산 방법론을 제시한다. 서비스 영역 계산 알고리즘을 통하여 각 지역 상공 위에 체공하는 모든 항공기를 대상으로 시간별로 무선인터넷 서비스 가능 영역을 전체 대비 평균 가용 지역 비율로 계산하고 누적 서비스 가능 밀도도 계산한다. 이를 통해 항공기를 이용한 글로벌 무선통신망의 구축이 가능함을 확인한다. We show feasibility of deployment of global wireless communications network with airliners, especially for disastrous vast areas by earthquakes or a tsunami as well as unwired regions of the global to extend Internet access. In this study, we collect flight information data related to civil aircraft passing through, especially South Korea, Japan, United States, and Europe. From the collected data, we obtain hourly available service area ratio and cumulative average service area when airliners are equipped with a long range wireless communication gadget. Then, we reveal that it is possible to deploy global wireless communications network using airliner ad hoc network.

우리는 실제 항공 데이터를 토대로 가장 가까운 항공기간 거리를 조사하였다. 그리고, 항공기 사이의 거리가 감마파레토 분산을 따른 다는 것을 발견하였다. 우리의 발견은 항공기간 통신을 위한 무선통신시스템을 설계하거나 연구할 때 중요한 자료가 될 것으로 기대한다. We analyze Inter-Aircraft Distances between Two Closest Flying Passenger Aircrafts on a Global Scale from Real Aviation Databases. Then, We Reveal that the Distances Follow a Gamma-Pareto Distribution. Our Finding is Useful for Designing Wireless Transceivers Since it Gives the Probability Distribution Regarding the Link Distances which the Wireless Transceivers should Cover for Providing Internet Services.

본 연구는 분기별 데이터를 이용하여 1990년대 이후 한국의 경제성장과 부문별 에너지소비 사이의 인과관계를 시계열분석법을 이용하여 추정하였다. 에너지소비를 산업부문, 수송부문, 가정.상업부문으로 나누고 실질GDP와의 인과관계를 추정하였다. 수송부문의 경우 에너지소비량과 실질GDP간에는 공적분 벡터가 존재하지 않아 장기균형관계가 존재하지 않았다. 하지만 산업 및 가정ㆍ상업부문의 에너지소비량과 실질GDP 사이에는 적어도 1개 이상의 공적분 벡터가 존재하여 장기균형 관계가 존재하는 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 벡터오차수정모형(VECM)을 사용하여 에너지사용량과 실질GDP간의 인과관계를 검정하였다. 분석 결과, 산업부문의 경우에는 장기적으로 보존가설을, 가정ㆍ상업부문에서는 피드백가설을 지지하는 것으로 나타났다. 장기균형관계가 존재하지 않은 수송부문의 경우에는 Granger 인과관계 검정 결과 단기적으로 성장가설을 지지하는 것으로 나타났다. This study examines the relationship between sectoral energy consumption and economic growth for Korea from 1991 to 2011 employing the vector error-correction model estimation. With respect to the direction of causality, industrial sector is uni-directional running from energy consumption to economic growth in long term as well as short term. Transport sector, on the other hand, real GDP growth leads to energy use only in short term. Lastly, there is bidirectional causality between energy consumption and real GDP in residential and commercial sector. These findings have important policy implications, since the adoption of suitable structural policies can induce energy conservation.

Through a close analysis of Leslie Marmon Silko's Storyteller, this paper aims to examine the significance of the 'story' in American Native culture. Silko, with many other American Native writers, has been trying to find ways to deal with the conflicts between the native tradition and the modern American culture, and the resource she has resorted to is their oral tradition and the story. For her, as well as for the American Native tribes, story is the center, the crux, of the web which holds together the tribal experience of the past, present and the future. Through the remembrance of the story and its cooperative reenactment either in oral or in textual form, the members of the tribal community can share and hand down their inheritance. The story, in the society predominated by the whites, is also the history seen from the native perspective, which does not conform both to the history of the whites and to the history of the natives from the whites' perspective, thereby revealing the lies that they are taught and made to believe by various institutions such as Indian schools and the economy system of the white society. Silko's Storyteller is a collection of stories, poems and essays. It shares some characteristics of the Western autobiography genre, but it has some other aspects which distinguishes itself from it: The narrator, or the person who is writing and speaking, draws her material from her community and tradition so heavily that the author figure is not an individual but the community itself. Through Storyteller, Silko shows the significance of story in her community and makes the reader experience the enactment of the oral tradition as well as the powerful story that the natives must tell to themselves and the world.
