The writer tries to propose some characteristics of profession and recommend those of librarianship. In this connection, the writer tries to define 'negative' and 'positive' functions of librarianship as a profession. The writer also aims at classifying various disciplines included in library sciencee Library science has to do with such phases as educational aids, storage and retrieval of knowledge and information, and librarianship itself. The title 'Librarian' carries with it the connotation of 'professional' in the sense that professional tasks require a special knowledge and background, that librarians try to maintain quality service to clients, the knowledge and information are produced, developed, and disseminated via librarians, and that librarians are responsible for continuing education. The fact that the present stage of librarianship is generally known to adhere to negative posture and randomness might permit other institutions to replace the library's role.

미소기공율 변화에 대한 마그네슘합금의 인장특성의 의존도

미소기공율 변화에 대한 AM60 및 AZ91D합금의 항복강도는 선형관계로 묘사할 수 있지만, 인장강도와 연신율의 의존성은 미소기공율 변화에 대하여 역비례 포물선 관계를 가진다. 미소기공율과 인장특성 간의 로그형태를 취함으로써 얻을 수 있는 직선관계부터 합금의 미소기공율 변화에 대한 인장특성의 민감도와 defect-free조건에서의 최대 인장특성을 구할 수 있었다. AM60과 AZ91합금의 인장강도는 미소기공율 변화에 대하여 유사한 의존도를 가지지만, 연신율의 경우에는 AZ91합금이 AM60합금보다 미소기공율 변화에 보다 민감한 의존도를 가진다. 구성화 관계식을 이용하여 AM60 과 AZ91 합금의 인장특성을 비교적 정확하게 예측할 수 있었다. The effect of microporosity on tensile properties of high-pressure die-cast AM60 and AZ91 magnesium alloy was investigated through systematic experimental approaches, with theoretical prediction on constitutive model for tension instability. The microporosity was quantitatively obtained by fractography analyses on fractured surface, and the strain rate sensitivity was measured by incremental strain rate change test at room temperature. The tensile strength and elongation of both alloys have a very strong dependence on microporosity variation with inverse parabolic relationship. The constitutive model can predict very well the tensile properties of both alloys exactly, through a practical estimation of strain-related terms and load carrying capacity by quantitative fractography. And, the constitutive prediction suggests that the sensitivity of tensile properties to microporosity variation can be practically reduced with the increase of strain hardening ability.

Gold preparation had been used frequently in the past in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, tuberculosis and lupus erythematosua, etc. It is still used. when other more potent remedies, such as steroid, failed. We report a case of drug eruption following the use of gold preparation. A 38 year-old female was referred to our department from orthopedic surgery because of generalized, multiple, pin head sized, violaceous and flat topped papules of 1 x 2 mm in size and mucosal erosions and ulcers following gold therapy for rheumatoid arthritis. She had received 5 intramuscular injections of gold preparation (Myochrysine'), 220mg in total amounts. Our clinical impression was lichen planus like drug eruption, but histopathological picture disclosed nonapecific dermatitis. The eruption had disappeared gradually following oral administration of antihistaminics and prednisolone and daily starch tub baths.
