A Jesuit`s Mission to the East and The Establishment of Adaptationist Missionary Strategy -Through the Study on Francisco Xavier- Kim, Jong-geon [Abstract] As great waves of Renaissance and the Reformation rose on the West Europe, there happened new change in the Catholic Church which had exercised universal domination over Europe, which was the establishment of the Jesuits. The order of the Jesuit set up in 1543 by Ignatius Loyola of Spain participated actively in the missionary work of the East. The Jesuit missionary well equipped with up-to-date academic learning and devout spiritual discipline were detached to the East Asia through India, opening doors of mission for China. The first Jesuit missionary detached to the East was Francisco Xavier. When he was detached to the East, he had the multi secular ranks as an embassador of the Vatican, the representative of the King of Portugal and the pioneer of oversea mission of the Jesuits. He exercised these authorities in his early missionary activities. However, while he was doing his mission works in Japan later, he realized the importance of Chinese mission work for the conversion of the East, being a pioneer of the adaptationist missionary strategy introducing Western scientific knowledges to the Chinese and based on the understanding of the Chinese classics. He who exercised a great effort to open China and died there made a crucial contribution to opening China for mission. The adaptationist missionary strategy initiated by Xavier was succeeded under the guidance of Alessandro Valignano to Michele Ruggieri and Matteo Ricci, who accomplished the strategy in China. Francisco Xavier was the great pioneer of adaptationist missionary in Ming China.
고속 스캔 MTI 펄스 레이더의 지형 클러터 제거 능력 최적화에 관한 연구

MTI(Moving Target Indicator) 방식으로 구현된 레이더에 있어서 안테나 고속 회전시 발생되는 지형 특성에 따른 고정 클러터의 도플러 주파수 스펙트럼 확산 현상에 대해 신호 처리 파라메터값(MTI 필터 단수, M/N Detector 비율, CFAR(Constant False-Alarm Ratio)의 K-factor 및 offset값)을 조정하여 지형 클러터의 제거 능력을 최적화하였다. 최적화 구현은 지형 클러터의 유형별 데이터 수집을 위한 치구를 설계 및 활용하여 유형별 지형 클러터 데이터를 수집하였으며, 이의 유형별 분석 및 제거 능력 최적화를 위해 Matlab 시뮬레이션을 통하여 test case를 만들고, 레이더 실내 시험 및 지형별 야외 시험을 통한 반복 검증을 수행하여, 진화적 개발 모델과 같이 반복, 점진적인 과정으로 병행되는 최적화를 수행하였다. 연구 결과, 기존 레이더 시스템에 비해 7.5 ㏈(5.6배) 이상의 지형 클러터 제거 능력 향상 효과를 거두었다. To reject the Doppler frequency spectrum dispersion of clutter caused by high-speed antenna rotation of MTI radar system due to terrain characteristics, signal processing parameters(MTI filter constant, M/N detector ration, K-factor and offset of CFAR) are adjusted for the optimal elimination of the ground clutter. For this investigation, logging equipment is designed and utilized for the collection of classified ground clutter data. Test case is devised through Matlab simulation for the classified analysis and optimization of clutter rejection. Then indoor radar test and outside test in accordance with terrain characteristics are repeatedly performed for the verification of the test. This whole process is through the evolutional development model and repeated for the optimization. Final result is that ground-clutter rejection capability is 5.6 times(7.5 ㏈) better than that of existing radar system.
SDN 환경에서의 데이터 생성 형태와 서버 응답시간을 고려한 효율적인 부하분산 기법

전 세계 데이터 총량이 2025년이면 175 ZB로 늘어날 것으로 전망되면서[1] 네트워크 영역에서의 데이터 처리 능력은 더욱 중요해지고 있다. 특히 데이터센터는 데이터 사용량이 늘어남에 따라 고집적화되고 있어서 유입되는 데이터로부터 유발되는 부하는 비용 절감과 효율적인 운영 등을 위해 적절히 분산되어야 한다. 기존네트워크 체계의 한계점을 극복하기 등장한 SDN 기술은 네트워크 장비에서 H/W와 S/W를 분리하여 Legacy 체계의 경직성을 해소하는데, S/W 기반의 유연성을 이용해서 데이터센터에서의 부하분산에 효과적으로 적용할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 SDN 기술을 활용하여 사용자로부터 받은 데이터를 유형별로 분류하고, 분류된 데이터를 데이터센터내 서버의 응답시간 순서대로 전송·처리함으로써 효율을 높일 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. With global data totals expected to grow to 175 ZB by 2025, data processing capabilities in the network area are becoming more important. In particular, data centers are becoming more stubborn as data usage increases, and the load generated by incoming data should be appropriately distributed to reduce costs and efficiently operate. The SDN technology, which emerged to overcome the limitations of the existing network system, removes rigidity of the Legacy system by separating H/W and S/W from the network equipment, and can be effectively applied to load balancing in the data center using S/W-based flexibility. In this paper, we propose ways to increase efficiency by classifying data received from users by type by utilizing SDN technology, and transmitting and processing classified data in order of response speed of servers in the data center.

The number of current eXIstmg woodblocks, which are directly observed in 155 locations from the South Gyeongsang area, are 28, 451 plates of 698 types. Adding other woodblocks such as woodblock of Tripitaka Koreana in Haeinsa Temple not directly surveyed, the South Gyeongsang area has the most woodblocks. Among them, woodblocks preserved privately except for woodblocks preserved in temples are 24, 787 plates of 489 types in 139 locations. In the aspect of the number of holding places, Jinju and Milyang is the best. As for the number of types and plates, Milyang is the best and Jinju is the second. It is because literary activity is active and publishing of wood-block anthology is frequent in these regions. In the South Gyeongsang area, 83 of woodblocks among 162 types registered as cultural assets remain. Among those, except for 13 preserved in temples, 70 are privately preserved ones. Therefore, current existing woodblocks in the South Gyeongsang area give significant point to consider toward us, not only in the aspect of quantity but also in quality.Considering the environment for preservation of woodblocks in the South Gyeongsang area, the rate of using specialized storing utilities is high such as museums, libraries and, galleries. Because woodblocks are made up of wood, they are easy to be damaged by insects, humid circumstance and fire. Also, they require much more concerns and expenses for preservation and controlling than cultural assets of paper. More cares and efforts are highly needed for improving the preserving environment. When we consider the characteristics of woodblocks in the South Gyeongsang area, confucianism woodblocks rating as 96.11 % take the highest rate and they are mainly book plates. Among confucianism book plates, private works including anthology takes 2/3 and what follow after them are works of history and biography. The period of engraving on woodblocks is mainly early 20th century and works of the late 19th century follow after them. The reason why the period of invasion of Japanese imperialism, from late 19th to early 20th century, is the period of active engraving of woodblocks can be found in passion of descendents. Their passion for preserving and continuing our former sages`` literary works, though they met the situation of national crisis, finally make this enormous result. Woodblocks are precIOUS recording inheritance that our ancestors presented toward us by engraving on the wood. Especially, printing woodblocks are the heritage of the will of our descendents in order to deliver the deep thought of ancestors and preserve with much care. Besides, woodblocks are another significant recording inheritance in that they contain all of important information which cannot be found from books published by using woodblocks on margins or edges in the form of letters engraved or written with chinese ink. Nevertheless, because of development of modern printing system, the value of woodblocks functioning as print media has disappeared. We need to give high attention toward the fact that the South Gyeongsang area still contains lots of printing woodblocks. In woodblocks, we can find the original record of our ancestors`` spirit, descendents`` passion to hand it down paying high financial cost, efforts and cares of people concerned with preserving locations. Much more huge concerns and efforts are highly requested to develop the spirit and value of our precious recording cultural assets, woodblocks.
