        상기생과 봉독이 간암 세포주 Hep G2에 대해 미치는 항암 기전 비교

        Background and Objectives : Korean mistletoe lectin (Viscum album coloratum agglutinin, VCA) and bee venom (BV) have been reported to induce apoptosis in various cancer cell lines in vitro and to show antitumor activity against a variety of tumors in animal models. However, the comparative effect of VCA and BV on the anti-cancer effect and mechanisms of action has not been determined. In this study, the effect in a human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line, Hep G2 cells, was examined. Methods : Cytotoxic effects of VCA and BV on Hep G2 cells were determined by 3-(4, 5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2, 5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay in litro. The apoptotic cell death was then confirmed by propidium iodide staining and DNA fragmentation analysis. The mechanisms of action were examined by the expression of anti-apoptotic proteins and activation of mitogen-activated protein kinases. The involvement of kinase was examined in VCA or BV-induced apoptosis by using kinase inhibitors. Results : VCA and BV killed Hep G2 cells in a time and dose-dependent manner. Treatment of Hep G2 cells with VCA activated poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase-1 (PARP-1) known as a marker of apoptosis, and mitogen-activated protein kinases signaling pathways including MAPK/ERK, p38 MAPK and JNK. BV also activated PARP-1, MAPK/ERK. and p38 MAPK but not JNK. The expression level of anti-apoptotic molecule, Bcl-X, was decreased by VCA treatment but not by BV. Finally, the phosphorylation level of ERM proteins involved in the cytoskeleton homeostasis was decreased by both stimuli. VCA-induced apoptosis was partially inhibited by in the presence of JNK and p38 inhibitor, but BV only by p38 inhibitor. Conclusions : VCA-induced apoptosis is dependent on the activation of p38 and JNK. while BV-induced apoptosis is mediated by p38 activation in Hep G2 cells.

        열분해-가스크로마토그래피/질량분석법에 의한 가황고무중의 유기첨가제의 직접분석

        Analysis of additives in cured rubber is often a difficult task for analytical chemists because of a wide variety of complex components. Conventional analyses of additives and rubbers have been done in multistep, off-line processes with large sample size and extensive sample preparations. The coumarone-indene resin, resorcinol-formaldehyde resin, and prevulcanization inhibitor have been characterized by their pyrolysis pathways and mass spectra of characteristic pyrolyzates. Pyrolysis Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (Py-GC/MS) was used in the identification of additives without any sample pretreatment. This result shows that several organic additives in cured rubber can be directly analyzed. 고무가황체는 고분자인 천연고무 및 합성고무에 여러 가지 유기첨가제를 배합하여 만든다. 이와 같은 배합고무의 분석은 여러 가지 다른 성질을 갖는 다양한 첨가제들로 인하여 많은 전처리 과정을 거쳐야 하므로 그 분석이 용이하지 않다. 이를 극복하기 위하여 열분해 가스크로마토그래피질량분석법(Pyrolysis Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry)을 이용하여 고무가황체 중의 유기 고무약품들의 직접분석을 시도하였다. 점착제인 쿠마론-인덴수지(coumarone-indene resin $C-90^{TM}$), 접착제인 알킬페놀 레조시놀 포름알데히드 수지, 가류지연제 등의 고무첨가제의 열분해과정 및 열분해체들의 질량스펙트럼들을 확인하였고 이를 통하여 복잡한 구성 성분으로 이루어진 가황고무 중에서 이들 배합제의 직접분석이 가능하였다.

        셀룰러 네트워크 상에서 멀티미디어 서비스 제공을 위한 효율적인 온라인 부하분산 기법에 대한 연구

        유선 네트워크에 비해 상대적으로 제한된 대역폭을 가지는 셀룰러 네트워크의 특성으로 인해 효율적인 대역폭 관리에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 또한, 최근 들어 수요가 증가하고 있는 다양한 멀티미디어 서비스들의 QoS를 보장하고, 사용자의 이동성으로 인해 발생할 수 있는 네트워크 과부하 현상을 해결하기 위한 실시간 대역폭 관리에 대한 중요성이 더욱 강조되고 있다 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 셀룰러 네트워크상에서 대역폭의 이동을 통한 온라인 부하분산 알고리즘을 제안하였다 이 방법은 각 셀들간 트래픽 부하의 균형을 통해 지역적으로 발생하는 과부하 현상을 극복하고 높은 대역폭 효율성을 보장한다. 또한, 제안된 알고리즘은 현재 네트워크 상황에 대한 적응성과 유연성을 제공하는 온라인 기법을 기반으로 셀 단위로 수행되기 때문에 실제 네트워크 상황에 적용하기가 용이하다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제안된 방법이 기존의 타 기법들에 비해 네트워크의 다양한 트래픽 상황에서 우수한 성능을 가지는 것을 확인하였다. Efficient bandwidth management is necessary in order to provide high quality service to users in a multimedia wireless/mobile network. In this paper, I propose an on-line load balancing algorithm with preemption. This technique is able to balance the traffic load among cells accommodating heterogeneous multimedia services while ensuring efficient bandwidth utilization. The most important features of my algorithm are its adaptability, flexibility and responsiveness to current network conditions. In addition, my online scheme to control bandwidth adaptively is a cell-oriented approach. This approach has low complexity making it practical for real cellular networks. Simulation results indicate the superior performance of my algorithm.

        스핀코터 회전속도에 따른 탄탈륨 박막두께의 선형모델에 관한 연구

        Recently, the decrease in thin film thickness has been actively studied by changing several physical elements such as the increase in revolution velocity of lower substrate equipped with AC or DC motor. In this paper, we propose a novel spin coater control system that changes AC or DC motor and common use software with limitation of velocity and position control into step motor and LABVIEW software based on GUI to control revolution velocity and position more precisely. By determining six input values of rotation velocity 1, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100 PPS, we fabricated six samples using coating target, TA(tantalum) on silicon substrate and measured their thin film thickness by SEM. Hence, this research can be applied to inferring thin film thickness of tantalum regarding any value of revolution velocity without additional experiments and for linear reference model via property analysis of thin film thickness using other thin-film materials.

        Relationship between morphology and viscosity of the main culture broth of Cephalosporium acremonium M25

        In this study, the relationship between morphology and viscosity of the main culture broth of Cephalosporium acremonium M25 was investigated in a 2.5 L bioreactor. The differentiation of C. acremonium M25 showed a complex pattern during the main culture. The morphological changes of C. acremonium M25 were related to the rheological properties of the culture broth and it was well agreed with the power law model. As a result of rheology study, it was found that rheological properties of the main culture broths of C. acremonium M25 in bioreactor were closely related to morphological changes. Also, fractal dimension fairly predicted morphological and rheological changes in the main culture broth.

        The Improvement of Cephalosporin C Production by Fed-batch Culture of Cephalosporium acremonium M25 Using Rice Oil

        The objective of this study is to improve cephalosporin C (CPC) production by optimization of medium and culture conditions. A statistical method was introduced to optimize the main culture medium. The main medium for CPC production was optimized using a statistical method. Glucose and corn steep liquor (CSL) were found to be the most effective factors for CPC production. Glucose and CSL were optimized to 2.84 and 6.68%, respectively. CPC production was improved 50% by feeding of 5% rice oil at day 3rd and 5th day during the shake flask culture of C. acremonium M25. The effect of agitation speeds on CPC production in a 2.5-L bioreactor was also investigated with fed-batch mode. The maximum cell mass (54.5 g/L) was obtained at 600 rpm. However, the maximum CPC production (0.98 g/L) was obtained at 500 rpm. At this condition, the maximum CPC production was improved about 132% compared to the result with batch flask culture.

        다양한 형태의 멀티미디어 데이터를 위한 통신 프로세서의 효율적 관리 방법에 대한 연구

        본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 네트워크상에서 우선순위가 높은 서비스의 QoS를 보장하며 동시에 프로세서의 에너지 효율을 최대화하는 적응적 온라인 프로세서 관리기법을 제안하였다. 이 기법은 현재 네트워크의 트래픽 상황을 기반으로 하여 실시간으로 프로세서를 관리한다. 제안된 방법의 가장 큰 특징은 상호 상충하는 다양한 성능 메트릭들 사이에 적정한 균형을 이루어 안정적으로 시스템을 운영하는데 있다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 기존에 제안된 프로세서 관리기법에 비해 본 논문에서 제안된 방법이 다양한 트래픽 상황에서 우수한 성능을 가지는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. In this paper, we propose new on-line processor management algorithms that manage heterogeneous multimedia services while maximizing energy efficiency. These online management mechanisms are combined in an integrated scheme for higher system performance and energy efficiency. The most important feature of our proposed scheme is its adaptability, flexibility and responsiveness to current network conditions. Simulation results clearly indicate the superior performance of our proposed scheme to strike the appropriate performance balance between contradictory requirements.
