In this work, we investigated gradual resistance switching operation of our fabricated silicon nitride-based bipolar RRAM. The phenomenon is considered to occur by insertion of additional SiO2 layer between Si3N4 switching layer and Si bottom electrode. In pulse operation, the effect of pulse condition such as pulse width, rise/fall time and paek voltage on gradual switching characteristics is investigated thoroughly.

South Korea aims to shift the 20 percent of electricity supplement from the fossil fuel including the nuclear to renewable energy systems by 2030. In order to realize this agenda in the buildings, the plus energy house is necessary to increase the renewable energy supplement beyond the zero energy house. This paper suggested KePSH (KIER Energy-Plus Solar House) and energy performance of house and renewable energy systems was investigated. The KePSH has the target of generating 40% surplus energy than the conventional house energy consumption. The plus energy house is the house that generates surplus energy from the renewable energy sources than that consumes. In order to minimize the cooling and heating load of the house, the shape design and passive parameters design were conducted. Based on the experimental data of the plug load in the typical house, the total energy consumption of the house was estimated. This paper also suggested renewable energy sources integrated HVAC system using air-source heat pump system. Two cases of renewable energy system integration methods were suggested, and energy performance of the cases was investigated using TRNSYS 17 program. The results showed that the BIPV (building integrated photovoltaic) system (i.e., CASE 1) and BIPV and BIST system (i.e., CASE 2) shows 42% and 29% of plus energy rate, respectivey. Also, CASE 1 can generate 59% more surplus energy compared with the CASE 2 under the same installation area.

In order to increase the ratio of renewable energy-based distributed energy, interest in peer-to-peer (P2P)-based energy sharing is growing rather than existing peer-to-grid (P2G) energy sharing. P2P energy sharing means sharing the surplus energy produced by distributed energy production facilities with neighboring buildings in the community. Energy sharing can reduce the instability of the grid through renewable energy by surplus energy produced in distributed PV system. In addition, there has been less economic benefit of surplus electricity for small electricity production, economic benefit can be secured for distributed energy production through such energy sharing and trading. In this study, we proposed a electric and thermal energy convergence system operation for a decentralized low-carbon energy sharing community. It was found that the proposed system can improve over 36% of self consumption and self-sufficiency ratio compared with the conventional system.

A dedicated outdoor air system (DOAS) comprised of enthalpy wheel, cooling coil, sensible wheel and supply/exhaust fan is able to decouples ventilation and air-conditioning functions and/or sensible and latent load functions. It removes the entire latent load and a portion of the sensible load inside a conditioning zone using 100% outdoor air ventilation. The remaining sensible load is accommodated by a parallel mechanical cooling system. According to the literature, a DOAS based centralized ventilation system shows good potentials for using in high-rise multi-family houses. The main object of this paper is to develop a simple computer program which can be used in the preliminary design phase of a DOAS applied to high-rise apartment buildings.

More interests about evaporative cooling based 100% outdoor air system have been raised as a consequence of recent research endeavors for developing a new energy conservative and environmental friendly HVAC system in U.S and Europe. However, it is not easy to design and analyze the evaporative cooling system on the basis of very limited experience. The purpose this paper is to provide a design process of a poilot system of the evaporative cooling based 100% outdoor air system which is being installed in a campus building.
