This study was carried out to compare the storage characteristics of watermelon (Citrullus lanatus) before and after removing the T-shaped stalk. For the investigation of the physiochemical properties of the watermelo, the watermelaon was stored at room temperature and 7℃, respectively. The average weight of the watermelon (7.8 kg) decreased by 0.6~0.7% at 7℃ and by 1.9~2% at room temperature during the storage period of 30 days. The hardness of watermelon reduced from 755 g to 542~549 g at room temperature for 30 days. However, the existence of T-shape stalk did not significantly affect on their weight and hardness. In addition, the pH, total acid content, and inner moisture of the watermelon were not significantly changed during the storage periods while the soluble solid at room temperature was significantly decreased from 11.3 °Brix to 9.3 °Brix after 30 days of storage. The internal redness of the watermelon decreased from 36.7 to 31.7~33.6. The total amount of its free sugar was increased from the original amount (8,133 mg/100 g) and then decreased. However, the stalk did not significantly affect on the amount of total free sugar under the same storage condition, too. Thus, there was no significant difference between the results of leaving the T-shaped stalk and removing it after harvesting the watermelon.

In our life, we feel that nothing is more precious than time. Though our consciousness and breath could stop for a brief moment, time can't stand still even is such a short moment, as far as we live. On the other hand, man is mortal-who is not an infinite being but a finite being. The primary type of man's existence is the one viewed in temporality. So the existence creates time and is converned with it and man has his own world within the limitation of time. The existence is originally closely connected with time. From this point of view, time is an important part of philosophy. In this paper, I aim at finding out how man is in relation to time, how he understands the conception of the existential time, through the time of living or the existential time in view of morden philosophy. I reviewed the opinions about the concepts of time presented by many scholars, and compared the original time with the non-original time (general time) in the existential philosophy, existence with temporality and the Christian time with the existential.

Philosophy of values is certainly one of the well-known categories in philosophy. We have concerned about the study of philosophy of values for long, we might say that philosophy of values started with the history of philosophy, but it was not until in recent years that it began to be started systematically as a category of science. Axiology as a science perhaps started from Germany and Austria in the latter half of the 19th century. Its foundation was systematically set by Herman Lotze, Franz Brentano, and Chistian von Ehrenfels, and its theoretical structure was greatly reinforced by Nietzsche. In the 20th century, it has spread out to Central Europe, France, England, Italy and Spanish-America, and in America it was studied in earnest by Perry as leader. Axiology has its significance as a category of philosophy, because human life cannot be separated from the sense of values, at the same time our sense of values tends to change along with the situations and alternations of ages. This thesis has been written for the purpose of defining and establishing a fundamental conceptions of values by examining and analyzing the relation between values. At the same tine, this writer aimed to grasp and recognize what the highest good is, how we should estimate, and the relation between values and what we should do. This thesis has been concentrated on values of noticeable authors who have halped to the study of this science, in particular the category of values on Kant's philosophy was the theme of this writing.

Die Pflicht ist bekanntlich der Hauptbegriff in Kantischen Ethik. In "Kritik der praktischen Vernunft" lobpreist Kant die Erhabenheit und Grossheit von der Pflicht. In der Pflicht liegt eine Notigung des Wollens und Handelns. Sie ist eine moralische Notwendigkeit. Und sie ist der kategorischen Imperativ, welchem jeder Mensch unbedingt absolut gehorsam sein muss. Besonders die Gesetzgebung der Vernunft selbst ist die Grundlage der Pflicht. Indessen Kant sagt in "Grundlegung zur Metaphysik der Sitten": "Es ist uberall nichts in der Welt, ja uberhaupt auch ausser derselben zu denken moglich, was ohne Einschrankung fur gut konnte gehalten werden, als allein ein guter Willen." Der gute Wille selbst, der Wille zur Pflicht um dieser selbst willen, ist absolut gut und wertvoll. Der Begriff der Pflicht entalt den Begriff eines guten Willens. So in dieser Abhandlung versuchte ich, den Begriff der Pflicht und ihres Prinzip in der Kantischen Ethik ausfuhrlich zu diskurieren.
