본 논문에서는 시분할-파장분할 방식이 혼합된 라우팅 구조를 가지는 대용량 광ATM 스위치 구조를 제안하였다. 제안된 구조는 셀의 경로배정 과정에서 겪게되는 광 파워의 손실 및 시스템 구성시 요구되는 하드웨어를 줄일 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 수동소자를 사용함으로써 전기적 제어부분의 복합성을 피할 수 있다. 또한 제안된 스위치는 확장이 용이하도록 설계되어졌기 때문에 처리용량에 있어서 미래의 대욜양 광 교환 시스템에 적합한 구조라고 할 수 있다. In this paper, large capacity Photonic ATM switch structure is proposed. It contains mixed routing structure using TDM and WDM methods. Through this structure, we can get not only required hardware reduction, and optical power loss reduction in cell routing procedure but also the less complexity of electrical parts using passive device. Also, it is designed for ease to simplicity of extension in throughput, so it is suitable structure for large capacity Photonic ATM switching system of the future.

첨단 비파괴 진단 기술의 하나로 폭넓은 응용분야와 뛰어난 정밀성으로 각광받고 있는 AET 기술을 이용하여 수소충전소용 복합저장용기 안전진단 기술을 소개한다. 본 논문에서는 폴리이미드 라이너 위에 CFRP 와인딩 및 레진으로 건조된 Type-IV 구조의 용기로 시험하였다. 사용압력 700bar로 설계된 수소저장용기에서 ASME 코드 절차서에 따라 가압시험과 동시에 AET 시스템으로 결함 인자신호를 수집 및 건전성 유무에 대한 결과를 제시하였다.
저전력 1차 명령어 캐쉬를 위한 명령어 흐름 기반 이른 웨이 결정 기법

Recent embedded processors employ set-associative L1 instruction cache to improve the performance. The energy consumption in the set-associative L1 instruction cache accounts for considerable portion in the embedded processor. When an instruction is required from the processor, all ways in the set-associative instruction cache are accessed in parallel. In this paper, we propose the technique to reduce the energy consumption in the set-associative L1 instruction cache effectively by accessing only one way. Gshare branch predictor is employed to predict the instruction flow and determine the way to fetch the instruction. When the branch prediction is untaken, next instruction in a sequential order can be fetched from the instruction cache by accessing only one way. According to our simulations with SPEC2006 benchmarks, the proposed technique requires negligible hardware overhead and shows 20% energy reduction on average in 4-way L1 instruction cache.
GPU 성능 향상을 위한 지연시간 숨김 기반 워프 스케줄링

LRR(Loose Round Robin) warp scheduling policy for GPU architecture results in high warp-level parallelism and balanced loads across multiple warps. However, traditional LRR policy makes multiple warps execute long latency operations at the same time. In cases that no more warps to be issued under long latency, the throughput of GPUs may be degraded significantly. In this paper, we propose a new warp scheduling policy which utilizes latency hiding, leading to more utilized memory resources in high performance GPUs. The proposed warp scheduler prioritizes memory instruction based on GTO(Greedy Then Oldest) policy in order to provide reduced memory stalls. When no warps can execute memory instruction any more, the warp scheduler selects a warp for computation instruction by round robin manner. Furthermore, our proposed technique achieves high performance by using additional information about recently committed warps. According to our experimental results, our proposed technique improves GPU performance by 12.7% and 5.6% over LRR and GTO on average, respectively.

In this paper, we report the improved driving methode using planar-gate for field emission light source. Due to the cold cathode in field emission device, it has advantage for driving system in terms of high speed pulse driving with narrow duty ratio. This paper shows that our driving method offers the stable and reliable driving system without rapid electric field variation for field emission light source.
Study on Carbon Nano Fiber Emitter for Field Emission Lamp

Properties of carbon nano fiber (CNF) as field emitters were described. Carbon nano fiber (CNF) of herringbone was prepared by thermal chemical vapor deposition(CVD). Field emitters mixed with organic binders, conductive materials and were prepared by screen-printing process. In order to increase field emissions, the surface treatment of rubbing & peel-off was applied to the printed CNF emitters on cathode electrode. The measurements of field emission properties were carried out by using a diode structure inline vacuum chamber. CNF of herringbone type showed good emission properties that a turn on field was as low as 2.1 V/㎛ and current density was as large as 0.15 ㎃/㎠ of 4.2 V/㎛ with electric field. Through the results, we propose that CNFs are suitable for application of electron emitters in Field Emission Devices.
