The purpose of this study is to classify the world countries into several cluste on the basis of the characteristics of the scientific and technological development, and analyse the main factors of development in each cluster. Major contributions of this study can be summarized as follows: (1) In the process of producing the composite indicators, individual indicators were adopted only if they met the condition which were logically compliable for the given time periods. Hence this thesis supports the reliability in comparing results of analysis in each period of years. (2) Could clearly capture the development characteristics and its changing process in each country.
계량모형적 접근방법에 근거한 발전구조론의 연구에 관한 고찰

There have been two streams of the studies on development structure:conceptual model approach and statistical analysis approach. But in these days, the latter has been becoming the main approach owing to the development of multivariate statistical methods and statistical packages. In this study, we examine methodologies and results of the leading researches related to development structure based on statistical analysis and propose the future research directions. This analysis would be expected to contribute toward the construction of long-range development policies on each country.
R&D프로젝트의 계획시스템대체안의 선정을 위한 CISAT모형의 개발

The purpose of this study is to develop a Cross Impact System Alternatives Tree(CISAT) model necessary for selecting the interdependent R&D planning system alternatives. This model modifies System Alternatives Tree(SAT) model developed by Kwon et al.. The SAT model is composed of several functions necessary for the achievement of a final goal and several subsystems for satisfying each function. In case that the relationship of technology alternatives is interdependent, this model overlooked a relative importance derived from occurrence or nonoccurrence of the technology alternatives in the future time variance. However, a complex evaluation process within the ballot system is another disadvantage of the SAT. To solve such problems, the Cross Impact Analysis(CIA) model is applied in the SAT model so as to consider the cross impact among interdependent system alternatives.
