It is a present situation that the control on automobile emission is getting more restrictive and also the regulation for emission are changing greatly up to level of those advanced foreign countries. Specially, it has been many years that exhaust gases from gasoline automobile rather than from diesel is the major object concerned by Korea and other countries, and it is strongly required on the reduction techniques on harmful NOx and PM among those compositions.<br/> This study concluded that the oxygen-enriched and EGR might be a good measure to reduce smoke, PM and NOx in diesel engine.<br/> Therefore, through this research the interrelation among parameters were intensively investigated and evaluated quantitatively, and proposed direction in design for heavy diesel engine with EGR and Oxygen-enriched system. Furthermore, this research has been made efforts to accomplish the regulation on emission for heavy duty diesel engine.
우리나라 자동차 정비사의 안전사고 개선 방안에 대한 조사연구

This study aims to investigate for preventing safety accidents of automobile mechanics in Korea. With the increasing cars, the role and importance of automobile mechanics are also expanding; however, safety accidents occur due to various factors during working. Therefore, Investigation for preventing safety accidents among automobile mechanics are required. To achieve this, a survey was conducted on automobile mechanics currently employed, covering safety accident experience, types, causes, and improvement measures. The survey showed that some 53.7% of mechanics experienced safety accidents during working, with cutting and puncture being the most common accident types. Furthermore, it was confirmed that most of safety accidents were caused by human factors, and strengthening safety education was suggested as the best solution. Based on this investigation, it is necessary for both individuals and companies to continuously make efforts to prevent safety accidents among automobile mechanics.

The purpose of this paper is to study for the electric car using manufacturing technique. It made the single-seater personal vehicle running on road by applying the electric car system. The first, it seek to minimize the deflection using profile method that was fixed with jig instrument. The second, it improved the electric car power composed the regenerative braking system by applying the generator using in wind-generation. The third, resulting test the controller, it could certify the stability driving and manufacture side of car. The fourth the gear ratio of power-train of sprocket knew that was very good at 4.5:1 by driving test. The fifth, the driver could confirmed the durability and driving stability after installing the steering, suspension, brake and tire and wheel system.

Diesel engines provide merits in the aspect of higher thermal efficiency and less CO₂ emission, but more problems on PM and NOx emissions. Selective Catalyst Reduction(SCR) technology is well-known to be effective for the reduction of NOx emission. SCR system can be classified into three kinds of NSR, NH₃-SCR and HC-SCR depending on reducing agents in jet spray. Because of poisoning problem of sulfur and unstable gas condition, much stable Urea-SCR system has been preferred to use instead. However, this research used to NH₃ gas instead Urea solution to model gas test. It is general to use NH₃-SCR catalyst for the NOx reduction on a diesel engine. This research focuses on the effects of gas temperature, SV(space velocity) and AR(aspect ratio) of NOx reduction rate. In this experiment was used the model gas which is similar to a diesel exhaust gas. NOx conversion rate is higher than 90% at the temperature of near 400℃ for all cases. As SV is lower, NOx conversion rate is decreased. On the contrary, as AR is higher, NOx conversion rate is increased.

This research aims to understand combustion characteristics of pre-mixed CNG fuel inside a constant volume chamber using swirl effect, cavity shape, numbers of spark ignition and air fuel ratio. To investigate phenomena of combustion, CCD camera was applied for the visualization of the combustion and pressure and exhaust emission were measured at several equivalence ratios by regulating speeds of a swirling motor. In addition, parametric study of configuration of combustion chamber and the numbers of spark plug was made. This information may contribute to improve the performance of CNG engine and reduce emissions in the future.

The purpose of this work is to obtain fundamental data about material fatigue crack detection system using AE method. The acoustic emission as a nondestructive evaluation is one of the tests for realtime monitoring in the advanced countries such as US, Japan, Russia, etc. Characteristic evaluation of AE signal, AE frequency and RMS analysis for state monitoring is also presented in the paper. This test provided the fundamentals of AE method such as crack frequency when applying vibration on the welded pipe.

This paper is to study the improvement method of driving habit on the vehicle driver. The first example, when the driver drives his car on unpaved road, the running condition badly become than general road that. As it were, the vehicle produce the noise when the fixing rubbers of a car lower body parts change hard because of bad road . The durability of car is debaded by impact of shock absorber repeatly. The second example, the research certified the fact that the driver didn’t wash with water a car periodically when a solinityt is stained with body of car and the car was corroded gradully the painting of car body by salt with body attaching. The betterment method to change the severe driving condition with non-severe driving condition must minimize the idle revolution and go and stop running when the driver operate his car. Therefore, the driver should endeavor to upgrade the effective a car culture for improving and supplying the driving method constantly.
