Many composite girder bridges have been constructed for about thirty five years. Nowadays they are aged or deteriorated because of the increase in traffic and vehicle loads. In this study, the effect of strengthening with glass fiber sheet is investigated to estimate the possibility for applying to damaged prestressed concrete bridges. One normal and eight cracked specimens which had been preloaded were tested. The cracked specimens were strengthened with either external prestressing or bonding glass fiber sheet, or using both methods. The results showed that the maximum loads are almost same for both methods. So it seems that the strengthening with glass fiber sheet can be used for strengthening damaged prestressed concrete girders. It is important that proper devices should be selected to prevent glass fiber sheet from premature bonding failure below its maximum load, which is similar to end anchorage problem in external prestressing method. It is proved that the devices proposed in this paper have sufficient anchoring capability to increase load carrying capacity.
부분(部分) 프리스트레스트 콘크리트 들보의 전단해석을 위한 '빗 구조' 모델

In this study, the 'Comb-structure' model which has been developed from truss analogy is modified in order to be applied to the shear analysis of partially prestressed concrete members. The proposed 'Comb-structure' model is modified so that the position, the slope of concrete compressive chord and the slope of concrete diagonal strut may change according to the magnitude of loads and prestress. For the proposed mechanical model, non-linear beam and truss elements are used. By modifying the 'Compression-Field' theory, the equation to determine the slope angle of concrete diagonal strut can be induced. The anaysis results by the proposed 'Comb-structure' model are compared with the experimental results and validity of model is examined. It shows that the the result of 'Comb-structure' analysis lies between that of the modified M$\ddot{o}$rsch theory and classical M$\ddot{o}$rsch theory, and close to the measured value after cracking. The deflection of the beam and the stress of stirrup show good agreement, so it can be concluded that the proposed 'Comb-structure' analysis model explains the shear behavior of partially prestressed concrte beams after crack initiation.

To determine a rational preclinical formulation strategy for preclinical research, scientists should consider with their own work-flow and physicochemical properties acquired by each discovery stage. In general, physicochemical properties such as ionization states and kinetic solubility could be obtained in the early discovery stage. However, more detailed properties such as equilibrium solubility, pKa, pH-solubility and cLog P/D could be confirmed at the late discovery stage. For these reasons, it was hard to decide which kinds of formulation were most suitable for candidates. Therefore, the primary objective of this review was to figure out preclinical formulation strategy based on drug discovery stage, and propose case-study with real case for application. Preclinical formulation strategy of previously approved drug that has similar characteristics usually was used in early drug discovery stage. Especially if information of drug characteristics was limited, researchers were able to consider that it was alternative methods to make suspension with surfactant and cyclodextrin-drug complexation method. For late discovery stage, there are several ways to consider the characteristic of various physicochemical properties such as pH-adjustment, solubilization (using by co-solvent, surfactant) and combination of pH-adjustment and solubilization. As drug discovery work-flow are different among pharmaceutical companies, making preclinical formulation strategy from early stage of drug discovery is important for increment of success ratio of new drug development. This review could guide researchers which preclinical formulation is appropriate by suggesting rational strategy.
