〈Journey to the West〉 is one of the four famous novels in ancient China, loved by the Chinese people, which is reflected on the 〈Journey to the West〉 theme of the film and television creation. In particular, in recent years, the trend of the adaptation of the 〈Journey to the West〉 has been getting more and more intense, and the elements of 〈Journey to the West〉 have been constantly brought to the screen in various forms, constituting a unique “culture of journey to the west” in the Chinese film and television circle. Although the number of western travel films and television works is huge and various new works emerge endlessly, its disadvantages are also obvious, that is, under the guise of 〈Journey to the West〉, the story plot is boring and complicated, and the production is poor. The root cause can be traced back to the way of thinking of “Narration without Creation” and “Humanistic Pragmatism” flowing in the blood of the Chinese people. The thinking of “Narration without Creation” focuses the Chinese people’s vision more on the existing traditional famous novels and objectively deprives the imagination and creativity of Chinese people’s artistic thinking. The thinking of “Humanistic Pragmatism” urges Chinese people to regard “using” as the fundamental purpose and goal of learning. As a result, they only pay attention to the external special effects and other advanced film and television production methods, but ignore the ideological and cultural connotations that film and television works should have, which leads to the prevalence of indiscriminate films.

This thesis is on analyzing The Biography of LiWa<李娃傳> through Analytical Psychology and looking for deep meaning about it. C.G.Jung, the originator of Analytical Psychology, believed that the final aim of living is Self-actualization for combining one's consciousness and unconsciousness. This work shows how the main character LiWa(李娃) and ZhengSeng(鄭生), accomplishes Self-actualization. In this novel, the ego(自我) and the persona(面) in four persons' characters have appeared well. both XingYangGong(滎陽公) and JiMu'(枝姥) persona has suggested the conflict factor which a man-and-woman hero has to experience from the contents of the novel spread out. although LiWa is a partner about aristocrats with the status of a singing and dancing girl(枝妓) even if and saved much money, she gets married, she bears a child, and wants to raise. ZhengSeng(鄭生) got a lot of expectation of father. but he thinks that he will escape from the figure of the ego which is in sight externally. If feminine Animus realizes anything, it helps to a crucial inner companion so as to have courage, objectivity, manly tempers such as spiritual wisdom. perfect from feminine tempers a man is recognized about relation through integrations of Anima better, and to be inner is the same as what can create. The Biography of LiWa is a work expressed mental consciousness brazier humanitarianism of man and woman main character. if we look into center trouble of a novel, firstly an obstacle to stop up the accomplishment of affection is not the class or government authority, and be re-water LiWa or JiMu can know wicked thing. There is creative intention of The Biography of LiWa to a humanity recovery and faithfulness of LiWa when we see through this. Therefore, The Biography of LiWa is a story LiWa recovering humanity through consciousness anger, and there to be a focus by status rise through a trouble of monistic contradiction and polarity of the human existence.
