The purpose of the study was to be compared for physical fitness and somatotype on detailed events in cyclists. For this study, 48 college team players were participated and 48 subjects who were divided into three groups (short, middle and long distance) in accordance with distance. The results were summarized as follow; 1. Sub-test results of somatotype were not shown a significant difference between each detailed events (short, middle and long distance cyclists), therefore, Based on these results, it could be concluded that selection of detailed events should be recommonded tests of gene and muscle biopsy. 2. Sub-test results of physical fitness were shown a significant difference skinfolds, vital capacity and 50m-dash among short, middle and long distance cyclists. 3. Somatotype tests had better quantity in short and middle distance cycliststhan in long distance cyclist (roadrace in cycling), but quality was not the same order. 4. The best caliber of short race (Hwang, S.J) had a muscular somatotype, middle distance cyclist (Ann, O. H) had a ideal somatotype in quantitatively and qualitatively, and somatotype of long distance cyclist (Lee, J O) had a muscular, agile, and speedy type. 5. Cyclists should be trained in accordance with somatotype of detailed events(short, middle and long distance race).

The author studied on the occlusal curvature of upper molars for 265 cases intact dental arches of the Korean adults. The results were as follows. 1) The curvatures with slight curve were 224 cases (84.5%±2.22%). 2) The curvatures with severe curve were 27 cases (10.2%±1.85%). 3) ;Theucurvatures with almost straight line were 8 cases (3.0%±1.06%). 4) She curvatures with slightly revers curves were 5 cases (1.9%±0.70%). 5) The curvature with wave type was 1 case (0.4%±0.38%).
都市人의 健康과 體力에 關한 實態調査 硏究 (I) : 서울地域 市民을 中心으로

This study was undertaken to discuss the current status of adults' health and physical fitness by each age group, thereby providing the basic data for healthy life in terms of physiological subjective symptoms, habits, and physical fitness related to motor skills and sport involvement. 2,129 males and 1,000 females served as subjects through questionnaire. The implications of this study are as follows. 1. Health 1) 14.56% of males are hypertensives; 17.84% of females neuralgia victoms. 40.58% of males and 25.6% of females believe themselves healthy. 2) 68% of males and 6% of females are smokers, and they gain in drinking quantity as they grow older. 3) 41.84% of males are temperate in eating due to their busy lives; 27.46% of females because of poor appetite. 4) 45.19% of males and 37.96% of females undergoes regular medical examination. 5) The amount of sleeping time is average 7-8 hrs. 2. Physical fitness 1) 1 km running: males decreased 40% of the running capacity as they grow older in comparison with young men in their twenties; females, 20%. Muscular strength of males falls off at the inverse of the age; that of females increases in direct proportion to the age. 2) Involvement in exercise or sport; only 23.55% of males and 11.42% of females have participated in exercise or sport, average one or two times a month.
