In this paper we represent a new species, Cteniobathynella ahnertisp. nov., fromSouth America. The new species is characterized by the heterodont teeth on free margin oflabrum, the spine row of the mandible consisting of four thick spines, the presence of two setae onouter distal margin of distal segment of maxillule, the prehensile nature of maxilla and theof the uropod.

This study was designed to observe the effect on the body protein metabolism by feeding mixed diests of Undaria Pinnatifida(U.P) powder. Adult male rats of Spraque-Dawley strain were divided into four diet groups : one control diet and the other three diets in which U.P powder were mixed with the control diet at the rate of 1%, 2% and 3% respectively. The results of the above observation were as follows: 1. Blood hematocrit and hemoglobin concentrations in 1%, 2%, 3% group were respectively not different with control group. 2. Total nitrogen of liver in 2% U.P. group was significantly higher than that in 1%, U.P. group (P<0.01). 3. Total protein, albumin concentrations and albumin/globulin ratio in serum were not influence by feeding U.P. 4. Urea nitrogen, creatinine, calcium and iron values in serum were not different in 1%, 2%, 3% U.P. group with control group
Tea Fungus를 이용한 홍차음료 발효계에서 형성되는 피막 생성균의 동정

Thick membrane (pellicle, tea fungus)-forming organisms in tea drink fermentation system were identified to understand the microbial actions and mode of fermentation. The pellicle grew 7 to 8mms thick during 14 days of fermentation and was consisted apparently of three layers. Upper layer showed white color, while under layer showed light brown. A thin film like layer, dark brown colored, was attached to beneath of side line by side viewing of the pellicle. the dark brown colored-layer was consisted fully of a strainof yeast cells, while the other thin layer separating two thick layers was consisted of rod-shaped bacterium. Many of the bacterial cells were bented or snapped. The yeast assimilated sucrose. The bacterium produced acetic acid from ethanol. From the results of morphological and biological tests, the yeast cells were idendtified as a strain of Saccharomyces cerevisiae and the bacterial cell were identified as a strain of Acetoobacter aceti. The two organisms were responsible for production of pellicle and acetic acid. Tea drink by fermentation of black tea extract supplenented with 10% sucrose for 14 days contained 1.8-2.0% acetic acid.
단체급식 관리에 관한 연구(Ⅱ) : 食單分布를 通한 through Menu Analysis

Menus from 20 facilities in which group food service was being done with nutritionist were analyzed to get useful data for better food service. Analyzed menus were those used in January, April, July and October in 1978 in Busan. The results are as follows: 1. The facilities provided calorie and nutrients more than what the survey of Nation's Nutrition has revealed or the amount recommended by Korea FAO Association as desirable. The calorie was supplied with 74.92 per cent of carbobydrate, 14.14 per cent of protein and 10.94 per cent of fat. 2. The least calorie was supplied in summer, and the least calorie and nutrients supplied to the middle-level of work among the three levels of work. 3. The food & descriptions such as group 1(cereal & grains), group 2(starch and starch roots) and group 4(legumes) showed negative correlation to the other groups but the rest showed positive correlation. Meanwhile, correlation between nutrients and food & descriptions did not go far beyond a common knowledge. 4. Nutrients intakes provided by each facility was more than the amount recommended by Korea FAO Association except for Fe in 4 facilities and vitamin A in 8 facilities. 5. Animal protein got 31.14 per cent among the whole protein intakes, and fish & shell fish was the main source of animal protein. 6. In summer, less calorie was supplied in 4 facilities than the amount recommended by Korea FAO Association.
