        A comparative study on the oxidation-reduction and acid-base reaction in thirteen high school chemistry textbook was done. Bronsted-Lowrey conception and Lewis conception in acid-base, and electronic and oxidation number conception in oxidation-reduction are more important, so that the autor would like to emphasize that they should be treated in focus. Laboratory experiments are short in general except CHEM study.

        Phage Ghost로 破裂시킨 E. coli 에서 Glucose-6-phosphate Dehydrogenase의 活性度 測定

        The relative activity of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase in E. coli was measured at 340 $m\mu$ with a spectrophotometer. The synchronized E. coli cells in exponential phase were treated with Phage($T_2$) ghost, and used as a enzyme solution directly. This assay method supposed to be useful for the continuous determination of enzyme activity in E. coli.

      • 現行高校化學敎育의 問題点과 改善方案에 關한 硏究

        This paper was dealed with current status of chemistry education presented by fiftythree high school teachers with questions(1971). The questions are analyzed, summerized, and some comments are postscripted. There were many difficulties in teaching chemistry; heavy teaching load, extra official load, poor budgget, shortage of facilitsies and equipments, unreasonable use of appointed budgget in management, and too heavy burden for entrance examination which is apt to demand memory rather than understanding the natural principle and law. As a plan of improvement of current science education, the matters of policy and the matters of reunderstanding of science education on the bases of philosophy are proposed.

      • TLC 검출의 適用硏究 : 環境科學 敎材硏究 A Teaching Material of Environmental Science

        微量成分을 分離하고 確認하는데 여러가지 方法이 있지만, 그 중에서도 學生實驗敎材로 적합한 것으로는 chromatography를 들 수 있다. 특히 paper partition chromatography와 thin layer chromatography(TLC)는 실험이 간편하고 活用범위가 넓고, 많은 학생들에게 일일히 실험 시킬 수 있고, 時間을 유효하게 활용할 수 있고, 또 費用이 많이 들지 않기 때문에 널리 활용될 수 있는 方法이다. TLC는 paper partition chromatography와 거이 같은 내용의 조작을 하면서도, 전展開시간이 짧고 分離가 선명하게 잘 된다는 利點이 있다. 짧은 시간에 많은 학생이 하는 實驗敎材로 아주 훌륭하다. 이 實驗은 TLC를 활용하여, 微量으로도 生理的으로 活性인 alkaloid, caffeine에 대하여 여러가지 溶媒에 따라 Rf값을 측정하여 용매와 試料사이의 상관관계를 알아보고, 각종醫藥品과 市販되는 飮料水에서 caffeine 성분을 檢出해 내는데 適用시켜 보았다. 이를 통하여 TLC 적용의 技術뿐만 아니라, 溶媒의 極性에 따르는 시료의 分配原理를 익힐 수 있도록 시도해 보았다. Thin Layer Chromatography(TLC) is an excellent method for detection and separation of trace amounts of component. Because of shorter running time, clear detection, versatile application, and inexpensiveness, it can be available for non-major students experiment in college and for major students as well. In this experiments, the Rf values were measured when run with various solvents and observed the relationship on the partition of samples against solvents. Caffeine was detected from several drugs and commercial of samples against solvents. Caffeine was detected from several drugs and commercial soft drinks. This would be a base for detection of other biological active pollutants as well as an alkaloid. The Rf value of caffeine was largest in solvent which has a intermediary polarity such as chloroform, and was smallest in solvent which has either larger polarity or nothing such as ethanol or cyclohexane. The best solvent for detection of caffeine from samples was a mixed solvent, chloroform-ethylacetate 1:1 by volume.

        A Comparative study on the electronic configuration and the fundamental concetipons of atomes, and the methods of isolation, involved in twelve current chemistry textbook in high schools were done. Almost all textbooks except CHEM Study did not deal with the orbital conceptions, and the priciples and experiments of isolation were not parareled in general. Relatively simple and new methods of isolation, paper partition chromatography and thin layer chromatography, were in short or nothing at all in advance.

      • 도덕성을 지향한 과학교육의 정의적 접근

        과학의 발달은 인간 생활의 물질적 풍요와 생활의 편리함등 매우 긍정적인 기여를 해왔다. 그럼에도 불구하고 과학기술의 발달과 산업화 과정에서 발생된 공해 문제, 무절제한 대량 소비로 인한 자원의 고갈 및 환경 오염으로 인하여 지구는 황폐해졌다. 또한 가치관의 혼란으로 인한 인간성의 상실을 초래하게 되었다. 환경의 파괴와 인간성의 상실은 인간의 생존을 위협하고 있다. 자연의 질서는 인간의 잘못된 생각과 행동으로 파괴되고 그 결과 또한 인간에게 되돌려지기 때문이다. 이러한 부정적인 측면을 최소화하거나 해결하기 위하여 자연의 법칙에 따르는 도덕성을 강조하는 의식 개혁에 초점을 맞추는 수업이 이루어져야 할 것이다. 과학이 자연 속에서 객관적인 법칙을 찾아 자연의 이치를 밝히는데서 생겨났듯이 도덕 또한 자연 속에서 모태되었기 때문이다. 그러므로 과학은 자연이 인간에게 가르쳐 주는 길을 찾아 실천하고 또한 서로 보충하고 보완해야 할 것이다. 이렇게 함으로써 과학을 통하여 자연의 본질과 질서를 알고 자연의 법칙에 따라 생활하면 과학의 발전으로 인하여 발생된 여러 가지 부정적인 것을 최소화하거나 개선할 수 있으리라 믿는다. 따라서 본 연구는 도덕성을 지향한 과학 교육의 정의적 접근을 위하여, 자연의 법칙을 올바로 이해하고 이치를 깨달음으로써 해결될 수 있도록 중2 과정을 중심으로 지도안을 제시하였다. Scientific progress has had a remarkable impact on the items we use in our daily lives. In our rush for increased convenience and improved life styles the earth is being systematically destroyed. As we move into the 21st century out air is polluted, our oceans and rivers are pull of waste and our natural resources are running out. Because of our thoughtless quest for increased convenience, our country is in a state of social decay. Our thoughtlessness towards the environment is manifesting itself in our personalities and we seem to care less and less about one another every year. In our effort to decrease social decay, those classes which focus on the evolution of thinking should begin to emphasize elements of responsibility and morality towards our environment and towards fellow human being. Just as science gives us objective rules for the observation and illumination of our natural environment, morality helps us to taper those illumination with responsibility. The science teacher should include aspects of morality as a supplemental complement to his or her classes. If we know the essence and order of nature and act within established rules, any negative effects of future scientific progress will be significantly reduced.

      • 美國大學에서의 環境科學(環境硏究) 敎育의 現況分析과 適用

        Contemporary education of environmtal study in the university of the United StStates was survayed. More than half of the sample universities have established the major or minor system on it. The author suggests that appropriate courses on environmental study should be provided at universities and be elected the course more than eighteen credits by students who are interested to be an environmental specialist.

      • 종합병원 간호사의 직무만족이 감정노동과 환자 및 내원객 응대수준에 미치는 영향

        Purpose: This study was conducted to examine the relations among job satisfaction, emotional labor, and response level of patients of general hospital nurses and to investigate the affecting factors on their job satisfaction. Method: This study was surveyed with structured questionnaires for 450 nurses working at three general hospitals in Seoul from June 12 to 23, 2011. Total 338 questionnaires were used for analysis excluding 12 questionnaires, which showed insincere responses. Data were analyzed using the SPSS 14.0 statistics package with frequency analysis, reliability analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and regression analysis. Results: In ths study, emotional labor and response level of patient among nurses working at general hospitals had a significant influence on their job satisfaction. Job satisfaction was positively correlated with response to patient. There was a significant negative correlation between job satisfaction and emotional labor, and also between response level of patient and emotional labor. Therefore, the systemic management of job satisfaciton and emotional labor have to be developed to encourage higher job satisfaction, and considered difference according to nurses' age and career experiences.
