The Einstein-K\"ahler metrics onHua domain

        An Wang,Weiping Yin 대한수학회 2003 대한수학회지 Vol.40 No.4

In this paper we describe the Einstein-K"ahler metric for theCartan-Hartogs of the first type which is the special case of theHua domains. Firstly, we reduce the Monge-Amp` ere equation forthe metric to an ordinary differential equation in the auxiliaryfunction X=X(z,w)=|w|^2[det(I-ZZ^T)]^{-frac{1}{K}}(see below). This differentialequation can be solved to give an implicit function in X.Secondly, we get the estimate of the holomorphic section curvatureunder the complete Einstein-K"ahler metric on this domain.

Adsorption of Pb(II) from aqueous solution to Ni-doped bamboo charcoal

        Yin Wang,Xuejiang Wang,Xin Wang,Mian Liu,Zhen Wu,Lianzhen Yang,Siqing Xia,Jianfu Zhao 한국공업화학회 2013 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.19 No.1

Bamboo charcoal (BC) obtained by pyrolysis of Makino bamboo in the absence of oxygen was used as support for the preparation of Ni-doped adsorbent (Ni-BC). The low-cost composite was characterized and used as an adsorbent for Pb(II) removal from water. The results showed that both BET surface area and total pore volume of Ni-BC increased. The adsorption of Pb(II) strongly depended on solution pH,temperature and ionic strength. The adsorption isotherms followed Langmuir isotherm model well, and the maximum adsorption capacities of Pb(II) at 298 K were 25.0 and 142.7 mg/g for BC and Ni-BC,respectively. The adsorption processes were well fitted by pseudo-second-order kinetic model. Thermodynamic parameters showed that the adsorptions of Pb(II) onto both adsorbents were feasible, spontaneous, and exothermic under the studied conditions. The spent Ni-BC could be readily regenerated for reuse.

First-principles study of nitrogen defect g-C3N4/WS2 heterojunction on photocatalytic activity

        Wang Yin,Lei Shulai,Zhang Xin,Zhou Shuxing 한국물리학회 2022 Current Applied Physics Vol.39 No.-

In this work, first-principles density functional theory simulations have been performed to investigate the influence of nitrogen (N) defect on the supercell structure, electronic structure and photocatalytic properties of g-C3N4/WS2 heterojunctions. Analyses of calculated binding energies and the lattice mismatch ratios led us to confirm that N-deficient g-C3N4 and WS2 were in parallel contact and form a stable heterojunction. Furthermore, the work functions, molecular dynamics simulations, charge density differences, band structures, DOS, electronic and optical properties and absorption spectra of different g-C3N4/WS2 heterojunctions have been analyzed in detail. It is revealed that the compositing of N-deficient g-C3N4 with WS2 improves the separation of photoinduced electron-hole pairs. N-defect enhances the visible light absorption of the heterojunction, due to the introduction of impurity energy levels. Moreover, the introduction of defect species further improves the photocatalytic performance of g-C3N4/WS2 heterojunction in the visible region.

A Novel Rotary Ultrasonic Motor Using an In-plane Traveling Wave

Yin Wang,Jiamei Jin,Weiqing Huang 한국물리학회 2010 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.57 No.41

In this paper, a novel rotary ultrasonic motor is designed for the requirements of robot joints. This motor features a stator, which contains both a hollow cylinder and a rod-shaped piezo vibrator utilized to excite two in-plane modes of the hollow cylinder, and a rotor, which is composed of two cones and a shaft. By exciting the two orthogonal in-plane modes of a hollow cylinder with a phase difference of π/2 in excited signal, an in-plane traveling wave is formed in the hollow cylinder. The rotor is driven when two cones are pressed to the boundary of the hollow cylinder by a spring. Test results of the prototype show that its maximum non-load rotation speed can reach 120 rev/min with a maximum output torque of 0.2 Nm.

      • The effect of Zn(2+) on Pelodiscus sinensis creatine kinase: unfolding and aggregation studies.

        Wang, Su-Fang,Lee, Jinhyuk,Wang, Wei,Si, Yue-Xiu,Li, Caiyan,Kim, Tae-Rae,Yang, Jun-Mo,Yin, Shang-Jun,Qian, Guo-Ying Adenine Press 2013 Journal of biomolecular structure & dynamics Vol.31 No.6

We studied the effects of Zn(2+) on creatine kinase from the Chinese soft-shelled turtle, Pelodiscus sinensis (PSCK). Zn(2+) inactivated the activity of PSCK (IC(50)?=?.079??.004?mM) following first-order kinetics consistent with multiple phases. The spectrofluorimetry results showed that Zn(2+) induced significant tertiary structural changes of PSCK with exposure to hydrophobic surfaces and that Zn(2+) directly induced PSCK aggregation. The addition of osmolytes such as glycine, proline, and liquaemin successfully blocked PSCK aggregation, recovering the conformation and activity of PSCK. We measured the ORF gene sequence of PSCK by rapid amplification of cDNA end and simulated the 3D structure of PSCK. The results of molecular dynamics simulations showed that eight Zn(2+) bind to PSCK and one Zn(2+) is predicted to bind in a plausible active site of creatine and ATP. The interaction of Zn(2+) with the active site could mostly block the activity of PSCK. Our study provides important insight into the action of Zn(2+) on PSCK as well as more insights into the PSCK folding and ligand-binding mechanisms, which could provide important insight into the metabolic enzymes of P. sinensis.

N6-Methyladenosine modification (m6 A) of circRNA-ZNF638 contributes to the induced activation of SHF stem cells through miR-361-5p/Wnt5a axis in cashmere goats

        Yin Ronghuan,Yin Ronglan,Bai Man,Fan Yixing,Wang Zeying,Zhu Yubo,Zhang Qi,Hui Taiyu,Shen Jincheng,Feng Siyu,Bai Wenlin 아세아·태평양축산학회 2023 Animal Bioscience Vol.36 No.4

Objective: The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of N6-Methyladenosine modification-circRNA-zinc finger protein 638 (m6A-circRNA-ZNF638) on the induced activation of secondary hair follicle (SHF) stem cells with its potential mechanisms in cashmere goats. Methods: The m6A modification of ZNF638 was analyzed using methylation immunoprecipitation with real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction technique in SHF stem cells. The effects of circRNA-ZNF638 on the induced activation of SHF stem cells in m6A dependence were evaluated through the overexpression of circRNA-ZNF638/its m6Adeficient mutants in circRNA-ZNF638 knockdown SHF stem cells. The competitive binding of miR-361-5p to circRNA-ZNF638/Wnt5a 3′- untranslated region was analyzed through Dual-luciferase reporter assay. Results: The m6A-circRNA-ZNF638 had significantly higher transcription at anagen SHF bulge of cashmere goats compared with that at telogen, as well as it positively regulated the induced activation of SHF-stem cells in cashmere goats. Mechanismly, m6A-circRNA-ZNF638 sponged miR-361-5p to heighten the transcriptional expression of Wnt5a gene in SHFstem cells. We further demonstrated that the internal m6A modification within circRNAZNF638 is required for mediating the miR-361-5p/Wnt5a pathway to regulate the induced activation of SHF stem cells through an introducing of m6A-deficient mutant of circRNAZNF638. Conclusion: The circRNA-ZNF638 contributes the proper induced activation of SHF-stem cells in cashmere goats in m6A-dependent manner through miR-361-5p/Wnt5a axis.

      • The effect of thiobarbituric acid on tyrosinase: inhibition kinetics and computational simulation.

        Yin, Shang-Jun,Si, Yue-Xiu,Wang, Zhi-Jiang,Wang, Su-Fang,Oh, Sangho,Lee, Sanghyuk,Sim, Seon-Mi,Yang, Jun-Mo,Qian, Guo-Ying,Lee, Jinhyuk,Park, Yong-Doo Adenine Press 2011 Journal of biomolecular structure & dynamics Vol.29 No.3

Tyrosinase plays various roles in organisms and much research has focused on the regulation of tyrosinase activity. We studied the inhibitory effect of thiobarbituric acid (TBA) on tyrosinase. Our kinetic study showed that TBA inhibited tyrosinase in a reversible noncompetitive manner (K(i) 5 14.0 ± 8.5 mM and IC?????? 5 8.0 ± 1.0 mM). Intrinsic and ANS-binding fluorescences studies were also performed to gain more information regarding the binding mechanism. The results showed that no tertiary structural changes were obviously observed. For further insight, we predicted the 3D structure of tyrosinase and simulated the docking between tyrosinase and TBA. The docking simulation was successful with significant scores (binding energy for AutoDock4: -5.52 kcal/mol) and suggested that TBA was located in the active site. The 11 ns molecular dynamics simulation convinced that the four HIS residues (residue numbers: 57, 90, 250, and 282) were commonly responsible for the interaction with TBA. Our results provide a new inhibition strategy that works using an antioxidant rather than targeting the copper ions within the tyrosinase active site.

      • Detection of Low Frequency Signals using Interferometric Fiber Sensors based on Phase Generated Carrier Demodulation Technique

Wang Yong-jiao,Wang Chuan,Yuan Yin-quan,Liang Lei 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Signal Processing, Image Vol.8 No.2

A fiber-optic sensor is a sensor with high sensitivity, and signal detection technology is one of its key technologies. Phase generated carrier demodulation technology is a homodyne demodulation method widely used for interference fiber-optic sensors. Research reveals that the amplitude of the interference signal and the modulation depth will affect the result of demodulation. The distortion of the demodulated signal can be reduced by the elimination of the effects of the interference signal amplitude and modulation depth. A phase generated carrier demodulation method for interference fiber-optic sensors is proposed to detect weak ELF signals. Theoretical analysis and simulation have been implemented on the demodulation of weak ELF signals using low-level sub-mixer carrier. The results indicate that in the demodulation of weak ELF signals, DC drift occurs in the DCM approach, while the Arctangent approach does not have this problem. Then, an optical fiber sensing system for ELF signals is established based on optical fiber interferometer, indicating the Arctangent approach is able to demodulate the VLF signals accurately.

Assessment of Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Poultry Enteric Fermentation

Wang, Shu-Yin,Huang, Da-Ji Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2005 Animal Bioscience Vol.18 No.6

Emissions of nitrous oxide (N$_2$O) and methane (CH$_4$) from poultry enteric fermentation were investigated using a respiration chamber. Birds were placed in a respiration chamber for certain intervals during their growing period or for the whole life cycle. The accumulated gas inside the chamber was sampled and analyzed for N$_2$O and CH$_4$ production. A curve for gas production during a life cycle was fitted. The calculated area under the curve estimated the emission factor of poultry enteric fermentation on a life cycle basis (mg bird$^{-1}$ life cycle$^{-1}$). This method can be used to estimate CH$_4$ or N$_2$O emissions from different types of avian species taking into account factors such as diet, season or thermal effects. The CH$_4$/N$_2$O emission factors estimated for commercial broiler chickens, Taiwan country chickens and White Roman Geese were 15.87/0.03, 84.8/16.4 and 1,500/49 (mg bird$^{-1}$ life cycle$^{-1}$), respectively, while the calculated CH$_4$/N$_2$O emission from enteric fermentations were 3.03/0.006, 14.73/2.84 and 9.5/0.31 (Mg year$^{-1}$), respectively in Taiwan in the year of 2000. The described method is applicable to most poultry species and the reported emission factors were applicable to meat type poultry only.
