The emergences of multi-drug resistant bacteria such as Acinetobacter baumanni have emphasized the necessity of new antibiotics. Peptidyl deformylase (PDF) catalyzes the removal of the formyl group from the N-terminal formylated methionine residue present in all nascent polypeptides in bacteria. In this study, the PDF gene from Acinetobacter baumannii K0420859 was cloned and its protein was overexpressed in E. coli, purified, and crystallized. The purified protein was crystallized using the hanging-drop vapour-diffusion method and the crystal diffracted to 2.4 Å resolution. The crystal belonged to the trigonal space group P3 2 with unit cell parameters of a = b= 39.4 Å and c = 187.9 Å. Two protomers were presented in the asymmetric unit with a corresponding V M of 2.10 Å 3 Da -1 and a solvent content of 41.5%.

In this study, the time-temperature superposition principle (TTSP) is applied to obtain the master curves and predict the life time of materials. The material used in this study is polyurethane (PU) composites based on hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene (HTPB) as a prepolymer, isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) as a curing agent to prepare PU materials. Hollow glass microspheres (HGM) and hollow organic microspheres (HOM) are used as void particles for PU composites. Dynamic mechanical analyser (DMA) is used to evaluate the storage modulus, loss modulus, tan delta and glass transition temperature (Tg) for each PU composite samples to show time (frequency) and temperature dependent. The storage modulus of PU composites slightly decreases after the glass transition, instead of remaining constant at rubber plateau region. These phenomena are also investigated using Cole-Cole and Wicket plots in details.

In this study, porous PCL-based polyurethanes with different porous glass or organic microsphere concentration are successfully prepared using polycaprolactone triol (PCL) prepolymer, isophorone diisocyanate as a curing agent, and various amount of either hollow glass microsphere or hollow organic microsphere. Thermal characterizations such as DSC and TGA, as well as dynamic mechanical analysis such as storage modulus, loss modulus, and tan delta are presented in this study. The master curve of storage modulus is generated for each PU composite and used to predict long-term thermomechanical properties of PU composites under a constant sinusoidal strain of 3%. In order to provide an additional information on viscoelastic properties of the composites with a relaxation time distribution, DMA results are further examined in terms of Cole-Cole plot and Wicket plot analysis.

In this study, the time temperature superposition principle (TTSP) will be applied to obtain the master curves and predict life time of materials. The materials used in this study include three types of polyurethane (PU) composites based on hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene (HTPB), polycaprolactone triol (PCL) and ether modified dimethylsiloxane (PDMS) as prepolymer and isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) as curing agent. PU composites are prepared with four different volume particle contents ranging from 0 % to 75 %. Dynamic mechanical analyser (DMA) is used to evaluate the storage modulus, loss modulus, tan delta and glass transition temperature (Tg) for each PU composite to show time (frequency) and temperature dependent behavior on deformation. The master curve of storage modulus is generated for each PU composite samples and used to predict the life time of PU composites.
Asymmetric UNet for Single Image Deblurring

Single image deblurring is a task to recover a sharp image from its blurry version; many architectures have been proposed to solve image deblurring problems. In this paper, we proposed an Asymmetric UNet for single image deblurring, with a different kind of encoder and decoder. Experiment results show that our model achieves comparable results with SOTA methods while having proper computation cost.

Porous polyurethane (PU) composites are prepared by a bulk polymerization of ether-modified dimethylsiloxane prepolymer, isophorone diisocyanate as a curing agent, and 1,4-butanediol as a chain extender in the presence of either hollow glass microsphere or hollow organic microsphere. Dynamic mechanical analyser is used to evaluate the storage modulus, loss modulus, tan delta and glass transition temperature (Tg) for each PU composite samples to show time (frequency) and temperature dependent. This polymer matrix has two glass transition temperatures on the plateau region, so the effect of the second relaxation temperature on the dynamic mechanical properties of PU composites is evaluated. The master curve of storage modulus is generated for each PU composite sample and used to predict long-term mechanical properties of PU composites under a constant sinusoidal strain of 3%.
