Analysis of Sizes of Men's Horse Riding Pants According to Fiber Composition

In this study, the sizes of horse riding pants from Korean equestrian apparel brands were analyzed according to fiber composition. Eight pairs of horse riding pants made of stretchy fabrics were purchased from two Korean brands. The sizes of pants of each group were measured, and the mean and standard deviation were obtained. The study results were as follows. Although the horse riding pants produced by Korean equestrian apparel brands are all made of stretchy fabrics, there were differences in dimensions according to different fabric compositions. In conclusion, it is necessary to establish a standard sizing chart for horse riding pants and provide relevant information on pattern design according to fabric composition.

This study aims to derive the design requirements for functional clothing worn with military wearable robots using a survey of people with military experience. Specifically, 982 adult males with military and muscular exercise experience were surveyed for their demands for the clothing worn with wearable robots during military activities. The study showed that it is necessary to develop functional clothing worn inside robots suitable for frequent movements of soldiers to improve their comfort level of wearable robots. The surveyed soldiers indicated that they preferred the top and bottom clothing with high-pressure levels because the upper body felt fatigued during transportation, while both the upper and lower body got exhausted during marches. The survey of design requirements revealed that the participants preferred a top with long sleeves and a bottom with ankle-length leggings in color similar to current military uniforms. We conclude that it is important to design functional clothing worn inside wearable robots in different forms depending on frequent movements, e.g., with differentiated pressures and material placements.

The aim of this study is to establish basic data for the development of a new CBR protective clothing by selecting the position of the zipper to improve thermal comfort, analyzing changes in temperature and relative humidity of the body and clothing depending on whether the zipper is opened or closed. 8 men in their 20s who had experience wearing CBR protective clothing were subjected to experiment for 45 minutes (preparation: 15 min. - entering climate chamber - rest: 5 min. - running: 15 min. - ventilation zipper is opened or closed - rest: 5 min.). The temperature and humidity were measured at 3 points and data were analyzed on the skin surface, and between the combat uniform and CBR protective clothing. As a result, when the ventilation zipper was opened after the treadmil exercise, the skin temperature and clothing microclimate temperature, which had increased during the exercise, decreased in the chest and shoulder blade regions and the humidity decreased by in the chest region. Therefore, a zipper that allows the exchange of heat and moisture accumulated while wearing the CBR protective clothing with the external environment is essential, particularly at the top.

Exploring the Current Status of Chatbot Services for Fashion Jewelry Brands

There is a recent trend of introducing chatbot service platforms to their online stores in fashion jewelry brands. This study explores the current status of chatbot services that jewelry brands have brought to online shopping malls and suggests progressive future directions. We analyzed the features of the chatbot service and discovered that there were more chatbots that could have single-turn conversation than multi-turn conversation, after selecting 30 jewelry brands shopping malls, creating a list of questions, and applying it to the chatbot service. We found out the advantages and disadvantages of single-turn and multi-turn depending on the purpose of using the chatbot. By analyzing the style of consumers who use jewelry brands at shopping malls, we learned that there is a need to improve chatbot performance through superior natural language processing technology.
