ANALYTIC SMOOTHING EFFECT AND SINGLE POINT SINGULARITY FOR THE NONLINEAR SCHRODINGER EQUATIONS
Kato, Keiichi,Ogawa, Takayoshi Korean Mathematical Society 2000 대한수학회지 Vol.37 No.6
We show that a weak solution of the Cauchy problem for he nonlinear Schrodinger equation, {i∂(sub)t u + ∂$^2$(sub)x u = f(u,u), t∈(-T,T), x∈R, u(0,x) = ø(x).} in the negative solbolev space H(sup)s has a smoothing effect up to real analyticity if the initial data only have a single point singularity such as the Dirac delta measure. It is shown that for H(sup)s (R)(s>-3/4) data satisfying the condition (※Equations, See Full-text) the solution is analytic in both space and time variable. The argument is based on the recent progress on the well-posedness result by Bourgain [2] and Kenig-Ponce-Vega [18] and previous work by Kato-Ogawa [12]. We give an improved new argument in the regularity argument.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>A contracted doubly N‐confused dioxohexaphyrin derivative served as a dinucleating metal ligand for unsymmetrical coordination. The complexation of two palladium(II) cations led to the formation of π‐radical species that were persistent in atmospheric air in the presence of moisture. Effective delocalization of an unpaired electron over the hexaphyrin backbone could contribute to the distinct chemical stability.</P>

A trail towards integration of EFD (Experimental Fluid Dynamics) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), that is. the development of a system called Digital/Analog Hybrid Wind Tunnel, is introduced. The aim of the system is to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of aerodynamic characteristics evaluation in aerospace vehicle developments through mutual support between EFD and CFD. The function of the system consists of optimization of test planning utilizing pretest CFD calculations, an accurate correction of the wind tunnel wall and support interaction effects through CFD, CFD data refinement based on EFD data, the most probable aerodynamic characteristics estimation based on both EFD and CFD data, database including EFD and CFD data at an identical condition, and so forth. Key technical challenges in the system development, such as an automatic grid generation and high-speed solver development for CFD, a highly efficient data reduction technique for image measurement data. and techniques integrating EFD and CFD. are addressed.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>We have studied the angular dependence of magnetoresistance and Hall effect of the CDW organic conductor, HMTSF–TCNQ in order to see whether a magnetic-field-induced phase exists in the charge density wave (CDW) system, similarly to the magnetic-field-induced SDW phases in (TMTSF)2X. The anomaly in magnetoresistance was observed only around the pressure where the CDW is almost suppressed, i.e. around 0.8–1.1GPa, but neither at low pressures (0 and 0.5GPa) nor at high pressure above 2GPa. This behavior is quite similar to that of (TMTSF)2X. At 1.1GPa anomalies were found at fields of 0.2T and 10T. We speculate that at 1.1GPa the field-induced phase is located between 0.2T and 10T, where 1D Fermi surface sheet and 2D Fermi-surface pocket are present. The <I>R</I> <I>xy</I> shows plateau structure and <I>R</I> <I>xx</I> was very small in the same region, suggestive of quantum Hall effect.</P>

Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)-guided intervention has been established as a safe, effective and minimally invasive procedure for various diseases in adults, but there have been limited reports in pediatric patients. Herein, we report our experience with successful EUS-guided drainage of an intraabdominal abscess in a 1-year-old infant concomitant with disseminated intravascular coagulation. The abscess was punctured via the stomach using a standard, convex-type echoendoscope, and the patient’s condition improved after naso-cystic catheter placement. Although the clinical course was complicated by delayed hemorrhage from the puncture site, the bleeding was successfully managed by endoscopic hemostasis using a standard forward-viewing endoscope.
