Design and Analysis of Lightweight Trust Mechanism for Accessing Data in MANETs

( Adarsh Kumar ),( Krishna Gopal ),( Alok Aggarwal ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2014 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.8 No.3

Lightweight trust mechanism with lightweight cryptographic primitives has emerged as an important mechanism in resource constraint wireless sensor based mobile devices. In this work, outlier detection in lightweight Mobile Ad-hoc NETworks (MANETs) is extended to create the space of reliable trust cycle with anomaly detection mechanism and minimum energy losses [1]. Further, system is tested against outliers through detection ratios and anomaly scores before incorporating virtual programmable nodes to increase the efficiency. Security in proposed system is verified through ProVerif automated toolkit and mathematical analysis shows that it is strong against bad mouthing and on-off attacks. Performance of proposed technique is analyzed over different MANET routing protocols with variations in number of nodes and it is observed that system provide good amount of throughput with maximum of 20% increase in delay on increase of maximum of 100 nodes. System is reflecting good amount of scalability, optimization of resources and security. Lightweight modeling and policy analysis with lightweight cryptographic primitives shows that the intruders can be detection in few milliseconds without any conflicts in access rights.

Novel Trusted Hierarchy Construction for RFID Sensor–Based MANETs Using ECCs

        Adarsh Kumar Agnihotri,Krishna Gopal,Alok Aggarwal 한국전자통신연구원 2015 ETRI Journal Vol.37 No.1

In resource-constrained, low-cost, radio-frequency identification (RFID) sensor–based mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs), ensuring security without performance degradation is a major challenge. This paper introduces a novel combination of steps in lightweight protocol integration to provide a secure network for RFID sensor–based MANETs using error-correcting codes (ECCs). The proposed scheme chooses a quasi-cyclic ECC. Key pairs are generated using the ECC for establishing a secure message communication. Probability analysis shows that code-based identification; key generation; and authentication and trust management schemes protect the network from Sybil, eclipse, and de-synchronization attacks. A lightweight model for the proposed sequence of steps is designed and analyzed using an Alloy analyzer. Results show that selection processes with ten nodes and five subgroup controllers identify attacks in only a few milliseconds. Margrave policy analysis shows that there is no conflict among the roles of network members.

Pharmacognostical Evaluation of Gymnema sylvestre R. Br.

        Adarsh Kumar Agnihotri,Sayyada Khatoon,Manisha Agarwal,Ajay Kumar Singh Rawat,Shanta Mehrotra,Palpu Pushpangadan 한국생약학회 2004 Natural Product Sciences Vol.10 No.4

In India, Gymnema sylvestre due to the unique property of the plant to antagonize the sweet taste is known as ‘Gur-mar’. It has several ethnomedicinal values as various tribals/traditional communities and rural peoples of India find diverse medicinal uses viz. antidiabetic, stomachic, diuretic, and is useful in cough and throat troubles. Besides, it has strong effect on reducing blood sugar. The present communication deals with the detailed pharmacognostical evaluation of the aerial parts of G. sylvestre collected from three places of the country- Varanasi (U.P), Panchmarhi (M.P), Salem (Tami Nadu) and commercial sample procured from local market. The botanical and physico-chemical parameters of all the samples were quite similar though little variations were observed in foaming index, alcohol and water soluble extractives of local sample. The microscopic characteristics of the drug are horse shoe shaped petiole with 3 amphicribal vascular bundles, sieve tubes well developed; anomocytic stomata only on the abaxial surface of the leaf, the fan shapedamphicribal vascular bundle, presence of intraxylary phloem. The TLC fingerprint profile of all the samples was more or less similar only the quantity of some of the compounds varied.

In Silico Studies of Indole Derivatives as Antibacterial Agents

        Shah Mridul,Kumar Adarsh,Singh Ankit Kumar,Singh Harshwardhan,Narasimhan Balasubramanian,Kumar Pradeep 대한약침학회 2023 Journal of pharmacopuncture Vol.26 No.2

Objectives: Molecular docking and QSAR studies of indole derivatives as antibacterial agents. Methods: In this study, we used a multiple linear regressions (MLR) approach to construct a 2D quantitative structure activity relationship of 14 reported indole derivatives. It was performed on the reported antibacterial activity data of 14 compounds based on theoretical chemical descriptors to construct statistical models that link structural properties of indole derivatives to antibacterial activity. We have also performed molecular docking studies of same compounds by using Maestro module of Schrodinger. A set the molecular descriptors like hydrophobic, geometric, electronic and topological characters were calculated to represent the structural features of compounds. The conventional antibiotics sultamicillin and ampicillin were not used in the model development since their structures are different from those of the created compounds. Biological activity data was first translated into pMIC values (i.e. –log MIC) and used as a dependent variable in QSAR investigation. Results: Compounds with high electronic energy and dipole moment were effective antibacterial agents against S. aureus, indole derivatives with lower κ 2 values were excellent antibacterial agents against MRSA standard strain, and compounds with lower R value and a high 2 χ v value were effective antibacterial agents against MRSA isolate. Conclusion: Compounds 12 and 2 showed better binding score against penicillin binding protein 2 and penicillin binding protein 2a respectively.

Cognitive Deficits in Schizophrenia: Understanding the Biological Correlates and Remediation Strategies

Adarsh Tripathi,Sujita Kumar Kar,Rashmi Shukla 대한정신약물학회 2018 CLINICAL PSYCHOPHARMACOLOGY AND NEUROSCIENCE Vol.16 No.1

Cognitive deficits are one of the core symptoms of schizophrenia that evolve during the course of schizophrenia, after being originated even before the onset of illness. Existing pharmacological and biological treatment modalities fall short to meet the needs to improve the cognitive symptoms; hence, various cognitive remediation strategies have been adopted to address these deficits. Research evidences suggest that cognitive remediation measures improve the functioning, limit disability bettering the quality of life. The functional outcomes of cognitive remediation in schizophrenia are resultant of neurobiological changes in specific brain areas. Recent years witnessed significant innovations in cognitive remediation strategies in schizophrenia. This comprehensive review highlights the biological correlates of cognitive deficits in schizophrenia and the remedial measures with evidence base.
