        기계언어를 통한 Switched Reluctance Motor(SRM)의 Modeling과 특성

        영구자석 동기전동기는 높은 출력밀도와 효율 확보가 가능하나, 제작에 필요한 재료의 가격이 비싸고 설계가 유도전동기 대비 다소 어려운 문제점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 효율 및 유지보수 편의성 등이 모두 고려된 최적의 전동기 개발 및 관련 제어연구가 필요한 실정이다. 뿐만 아니라, 실질적인 전동기에 의한 구동은 좁은 정격영역에서의 최고효율의 증대 요구와 전체 전기구동 영역에서의 평균 효율 증대, 평균 출력의 증대 요구로 이어지고 있다. 이러한 움직임에 의해 영구자석이 필요 없는 릴럭턴스 전동기 (Reluctance Motor)가 하나의 대안으로 검토되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 희토류 영구자석 전동기를 대체할 수 있는 미래기술 개발과, 희토류 저감형 전동기와 탈 희토류 전동기의 기술 선점을 요구하는 시대적 이슈 (Issue)에 맞춰 영구자석이 필요 없는 스위치드 릴럭턴스 전동기 (Switched Reluvtance Motor, SRM)에 대해 기계언어(C 언어)를 통한 modeling과 그에 따른 SRM의 특성을 연구하고자 한다. Permanent magnet synchronous motors can secure high power density and efficiency, but have problems in that the materials required for manufacturing are expensive and design is somewhat more difficult than induction motors. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an optimal motor that considers both efficiency and maintenance convenience and related control research. In addition, driving by a practical motor leads to a request to increase the highest efficiency in a narrow rated range, an increase in average efficiency in the entire electric driving range, and an increase in average output. Due to this movement, a reluctance motor that does not require a permanent magnet is being considered as an alternative. In this paper, in line with the issues of the times that require the development of future technology that can replace rare earth permanent magnet motors and the technological preemption of rare earth reduction motors and rare earth motors, switched reluctance motors without permanent magnet For motor, SRM), modeling through machine language (C language) and the characteristics of SRM accordingly are to be studied.

        열차추진시스템에서 Switched Reluctance Motor의 속도제어를 위한 제어기 설계

        Electric locomotive is adapted to high speed driving and mass transportation due to obtaining high traction force. The electric locomotive is operated by motor blocks and traction motors. Train speed is controlled by suppling power from motor blocks to traction motors according to reference speed. Speed control of the electric locomotive is efficient by spending energy between motor blocks and traction motors. Currently, switched reluctance motors have been studied because the efficient is higher than induction motors. In this paper, model of the switched reluctance motor is presented and the PID controller is applied to the model for the speed control by using Simulink. Asymmetry converter is used for real-time control and system performance is demonstrated by simulating the speed of switched reluctance motor including PID controller.

        저가형 아날로그 구동장치를 이용한 Switched Reluctance Motor의 스위칭 Duty 가변제어

        산업응용에서 정확한 속도 및 전류 제어를 위해 SRM (Switched Reluctance Motor)은 특성상 드라이브에서 고정자의 상 여자와 회전자의 위치를 동기화시키는 것이 매우 중요하다. 따라서 적절한 스위칭 동작을 위해 정확한 회전자 위치정보는 필수적이기에 위치 센서가 필요하다. 회전자 위치에 따라 적정 고정자 권선을 여자 시켜 회전력을 발생시키기고 속도와 위치정보를 이용하여 전동기를 제어하기 위해서 일반적으로 엔코더 (Encoder), 레졸버 (Resolver) 같은 위치센서를 사용한다. 그러나 이러한 센서들은 1) 가격적 측면에서 센서들의 가격이 상당히 크기 때문에 전체 시스템 비용에서 전동기 시스템이 차지하는 비율이 높다. 또한 2) 기계적 측면에서 엔코더나 레졸버와 같은 위치센서들을 고정자측에 부착하여 크기 및 무게를 증가시키고 있다. 결론적으로 SRM을 구동하기 위해서는 회전자 위치정보에 따른 제어가 기본적으로 이루어져야 하며 적용 분야를 고려해서 환경에 따른 SRM 구동 시스템을 설계하는 것이 중요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기존의 엔코더 (Encoder), 레졸버 (Resolver)를 사용하는 일반적인 제어시스템에서 벗어나서 저가형 아날로그 구동장치를 설계하여 스위칭 Duty 가변 제어를 통한 SRM의 구동 및 제어 특성을 연구하고자 한다. For accurate speed and current control in industrial applications, SRM (Switched Reluctance Motor) is very important to synchronize the stator phase excitation and rotor position in the drive due to its nature. In general, position sensors such as encoder and resolver are used to generate rotational force by exciting the stator winding according to the rotor position and to control the motor by using speed and position information. However, for these sensors, 1) the cost of the sensors is quite large in terms of price, so the proportion of the motor system to the total system cost is high. 2) In terms of mechanical, position sensors such as encoders and resolvers are attached to the stator to increase the size and weight. In conclusion, in order to drive the SRM, control based on the rotor position information should be basically performed, and it is important to design the SRM driving system according to the environment in consideration of the application field. Therefore, in this paper, we intend to study the driving and control characteristics of SRM through variable switching duty control by designing a low-cost analog driving device, deviating from the general control system using the conventional encoder and resolver.

        정류자를 이용한 스위치드 릴럭턴스 전동기의 구동에 관한 연구

        This paper presents the novel design and implementation of a switched reluctance motor with commutator. Unlike typical switched reluctance motor, this motor doesnt require semi-conductor devices and inverter circuits for driving. Instead, the brushes and commutator can make rotating field for driving the switched reluctance motor. Moreover, because this motor has no magnet, the total cost for manufacturing the motor is very cheap. In order to verify the usability of the proposed motor, the authors manufactured the prototype motor, and showed the torque-speed curve of the motor.

        적응제어기를 이용한 Switched Reluctance Motor의 속도제어

        Currently, switched reluctance motors are studied to increase energy efficient. The switched reluctance motor is possible to control higher speed and torque than the induction motors and composition is simple. Current and rotor speed are considered to install the switched reluctance motor. In this paper, Simulink model of the switched reluctance motor is suggested and the adaptive controller is applied to the model for the speed control. Asymmetry converter including the IGBT is concerned with real-time control and the speed of switched reluctance motor is controlled by installing adaptive controller.

      • Design a Novel Switched Reluctance Motor for Neighborhoods Electric Vehicle

        This paper describes, design and modeling procedure of a novel switched reluctance motor for neighborhoods electric vehicle. The proposed motor employed six stator and twelve rotor poles (6/12) with double stators configuration. Six stator poles divided into three independent groups and each group consists of two connected poles with no connection yoke among them. The proposed SRM employed three-phase sources with short magnetic flux. The construction and principle of the proposed motor are also described in this paper. Furthermore, Finite Element Method (FEM) used to predict the performance of the proposed motor. The result showed that the proposed motor offers a better performance in term of power and torque density.

      • A Novel 6/5 Switched Reluctance Motor with Short Flux Path: Concept, Design and Analysis

        A novel 6/5 switched reluctance motor (SRM) with short flux path is presented in this paper. The concept of this proposed motor is a novel SR motor with six stator and five rotor poles. The stator is constructed with three independent and physically separate C-core segments, and the rotor is composed of five poles. This motor, with a new selection for the number of stator/rotor poles, achieves a short flux path, which reduces the magnetomotive force required to drive the motor. To verify the performance of the proposed motor, a comparison with conventional SR motors with the same dimensions is executed. The comparison demonstrates that the proposed motor offers better performance in terms of maximum torque production. Furthermore, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Matlab/Simulink software are used to predict and simulate the performance of the proposed motor.

      • Switched Reluctance Motor의 진동, 소음 특성해석에 관한 연구

        Switched reluctance motor(SRM) drive system is to be compatible for wide range adjustable speed motoring system because it has the same driving characteristics of DC series motor, easy control principle and high efficiency characteristics. By this reason, SRM drive system will be applied to many commercial adjustable speed application that requires economic advantages and high performance abilities. But, SRM drives generate large vibration and acoustic noise because it is rotated by step pulse mmf and switching commutation mechanism. This disadvantage has been obstacles to applicate SRM drives as generalized motor drive system. The main origin of vibration and noise is caused by commutation method which applies step pulse waveform mmf to stator pole and removes the mmf suddenly. This sudden variation of stator flux vibrates stator frame by radial direction and excites natural vibration mode of stator. This paper analyzes the characteristics of vibration and acoustics noise of SRM from the viewpoint of natural mode and driving coidition, and consider the reduction strategy of that.

      • Injected Current Effects on Magnetic Field and Torque Characteristic of Home Appliance Switched Reluctance Motor

        Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) has been gaining popularity as a feasible alternative to a brushless dc motor. The injected current on the winding of SRM will have a significant effect on the magnetic field distribution and torque characteristic. This paper discusses multiple current setups to be injected into the winding and observe their effect on motor behavior. The finite element method is applied to analyze both of the magnetic field and generated torque in the motor. The 8/6 450 W SRM commonly utilized for home appliances is investigated as a test machine. The effect on the generated magnetic field and torque control from injected current with variation of phase shift and duty cycle is observed.

        Electromagnetic Analysis and Optimization for a Dual-Rotor Switched Reluctance Machine

        A dual-rotor switched reluctance motor is proposed in this paper. The structure and working principle of the motor are introduced in detail. The structural parameters have great influence on the performance of the motor, so sensitivity analysis of several important structural parameters to the output torque is carried out based on the two-dimensional finite element method, which improves the average torque of the rotor in the outer air gap. Additionally, the performance of the motor with various pole distributions is analyzed and compared. The results show that when the magnetic polarity distribution of the outer stator is NSNSNSNSNSNS and the magnetic polarity distribution of the inner rotor is NSNSNS, the motor has the best performance. The torque of the motor is compared with that of the traditional single-rotor switched reluctance motor. It shows that the performance of the motor proposed in this paper is better.
