특수 컨테이너를 사용한 철강 제품의 운송 방안 및 효과에 관한 연구

본 연구는 강철 코일을 특수 컨테이너로 운반하는 컨테이너화를 연구하여 실제 사업에 도움이 되는 것을 목표로 한다. Neo-bulk 화물과 곡물, 석탄, 목재 펄프, 액체화물 등의 컨테이너화에 대한 이전 연구를 요약하고, 컨테이너로 운송되는 물품과 화물의 원인과 배경을 요약하였다. 특수 코일 컨테이너에 의한 운송의 장점은 각종 사고로 인한 위험이 감소하고 운송 안정성이 확보되며 안전을 위해 필요한 shoring 및 lashing 작업이 필요 없어 적출입이 용이하고 비용이 절감된다. 컨테이너 적재 가능한 중량은 일반 컨테이너 보다 1.5 배 이상 높으며 고강도 철판 사양으로 안전성이 우수하다. 비용 절감 효과는 벌크선, dry 컨테이너 운송, 코일 컨테이너 운송의 시뮬레이션을 통해 비교하였다. Non-match-back 운송의 경우에도 코일 컨테이너는 약 8%의 비용 절감 효과를 보였고, match-back의 경우 경쟁력이 높아져 22.1%에서 37.3%로 비용 절감 효과가 나타났다. 벌크 운송에 비해서는 2% ~ 23.3%의 절감 효과가 있었다. 그럼에도 불구하고 현재 확산이 느린 이유는 공컨테이너의 재배치 문제와 중량 화물을 선호하지 않는 해운회사들의 입장으로 성수기에는 선복 확보에 어려움이 있을 수 있는 점, 현재 코일 컨테이너가 충분히 확보되지 않은 점 등이 있다. 코일 컨테이너가 가지는 안전성과 효율적인 운영시에 확보될 수 있는 비용 경쟁력, 소량 화물에 의한 수요 등으로 점차 코일 컨테이너에 의한 철강 제품의 컨테이너화는 증가할 것으로 전망이 가능하겠다. Purpose : This study aims to be helpful in practical business by researching the containerization that transports steel coils in special containers. Research design, data, methodology : The research centered on the data of a company that currently provide the service, and this is a practice-oriented research in the industry. The cost savings were compared through simulations of bulk carrier, dry container transport, and coil container transport. Results : The advantages of transportation by coil containers are that the risk from various accidents is reduced and the transportation stability is secured, and there is no need for shoring and lashing work for safety. Even in the case of non-match-back transportation, the coil container had a cost reduction effect of about 8%. Conclusions : Due to the safety of coil containers, cost competitiveness and demand for small cargo, it is expected that the containerization of steel products using coil containers will increase gradually.

철강산업은 자동차, 조선, 기계, 건설 등을 비롯한 전 산업에 기초소재를 공급하는 산업이다. 제품의 특성상 높은 물류비 비중이 타 산업에 비해 높게 나타나고 있다는 것이 특징이라고 할 수 있다. 특히, 코일 형태의 제품들은 중량물로써 유통 경로 상에서 벌크형태로 취급되고 있어 수송상의 여러 가지 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 코일의 원활한 컨테이너 운송을 위한 코일 거치장치를 소개하고 거치장치 사용에 따른 여러 비용?편익 평가 항목을 설정하여 사업성 분석을 실시한 결과를 제시하였다. 또한 코일의 컨테이너 운송시 안전성 확보와 거치장치의 반복사용에 따른 물류비 절감방안에 대해 제안하였다. The steel industry has supplied basic materials for the entire industry including the automobile, shipbuilding, machinery and construction materials industry etc. The nature of the products causes higher proportion of logistics costs than in other industries. In particular, steel coils have heavy weight and have been treated as bulk handling on distribution channels. Therefore there are various issues in transporting them. This study analyses the feasibility of equipment to ensure stability during transporting steel coils derived using the cost-benefit analysis. And this paper proposes the method for accomplishing a high level of safety through the use of the equipments during steel coils handling and transport in ISO-containers and cost savings through the reuse of them.
