Position-dependent Spontaneous Motion of the Magnetic Domain Wall in Ferromagnetic Nanowires
Xiao-Ping Ma,Hong-Guang Piao,심제호,주하나 데데,김동현 한국물리학회 2013 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.62 No.2
We have investigated the dependence of the spontaneous dynamics of the magnetic domain wall in ferromagnetic nanowires on the initial position of the domain wall without any external field. Using micromagnetic simulations, we have observed in detail a spontaneous magnetic domain wall motion for various wire widths and thicknesses. We have found that the average speed of the spontaneous domain wall motion significantly depends on the wire width and thickness, as well as the starting position of the domain wall motion. We conclude that the spontaneous magnetic domain wall motion should be considered very carefully in practical design of spintronic devices based on magnetic domain wall motion.
Les actes du vivant et leur traduction symbolique et sensorielle
Eric Enrègle 고려대학교 응용문화연구소 2021 에피스테메 Vol.- No.25
The purpose of this article is to shed a philosophical light on the nature of the living, and to do so on the nature of the various vital operations, the symbolic and sensory embodiments of which will be studied. That phenomenology will be firstly done from a general point of view: what is life? what is a vital act, a vital operation? But that general definition being an abstraction made from the diversity of reality, we will also consider that diversity, i.e. acts such as development, sensible knowledge, intellectual knowledge, inclination and transmission. That approach is part of a general context in which many reflections are carried out about what a “living machine” could be. Furthermore, a context in which emerging hypotheses make connections between vital characteristics on the one hand, and confidence and attachment to objects on the other hand. That invites us to question the nature and diversity of vital operations, as well as their tangible characteristics.

Spontaneous Motion in L1- and L2-English Speech: A Corpus-Based Study
성민창,김기택 한국영어교육학회 2020 ENGLISH TEACHING(영어교육) Vol.75 No.1
Spontaneous motion is one of the most basic event types, but different languages use varying patterns to express it. For example, English usually encodes path information in prepositional phrases or adverbial particles, while Korean maps path information onto verbs (Talmy, 1985). This study predicts that this typological difference would affect English spontaneous motion expressions produced by Korean learners and analyzes two English-language speech corpora, one, the data from native speakers (600 recordings), and the other, data from L1-Korean learners of English (400 recordings). It finds that the learners significantly underuse satellite-framed patterns, but not verb-framed patterns, compared with the native speakers, suggesting that the L1 plays a role in their L2 production. The satellite-framed patterns, however, account for the greatest portion of spontaneous motion expressions in the L2 corpus, suggesting the dominant effect of input on L2 production. These findings lead to pedagogical implications concerning preventing L1 interference and fostering input-based L2 acquisition
자율이동을 나타내는 일본어와 한국어의 양태표현 ―Talmy의 유형론을 중심으로―
선민정 한국일본문화학회 2022 日本文化學報 Vol.- No.92
This study examines spontaneous motion in Japanese and Korean, expressed as V1. The findings demonstrated that, in particular, the Japanese verb infinitive forms and the Korean conjunctive morpheme ‘-e’ and ‘-a’ were expressed as V1, and most had strong bonding strength with the main verb. I proposed the role of “neutralization of the manner” as a factor to explain the frequency of V1. In this way, the detailed manner is omitted by using the general manner verbs that exist in any language. In some Korean words where this was not the case, a hierarchical structure was formed with the general manner verbs as the upper category of the manner adverbs. This illustrates that Japanese and Korean are not typical verb-framed languages in Talmy’s typology, and the findings promote the idea of diversity within verb-framed languages.
