In this paper, we propose a fuzzy inferencing algorithm to improve block classificaion considering the block characteristics in the classified VQ using DCT. For this we create fuzzy rules having the form "IF p is A and q is B THEN r is C". The "p is A and q is B" is called the antecedent and the "r is C" the consequent. "p is A" has five fuzzy sets using energy compaction of vertical and horizontal direction in DCT domain and the "q and B" four fuzzy sets using diagonal. The "r is C" gets seven another fuzzy classes following the block feature. By training the generated fuzzy rules using several images, twenty fuzzy rules having objective validity can be identified. Ultimately these rules apply fuzzy inference for a new input image to be classified into seven slcaaes. After classification, the vector quantization, the same with Aizawa's method, adopt to each class. Our proposed method(F-DCT-CVQ) shows that PSNR is increased by about 1-2 dB for 0.3 - 0.5(bpp) range, when the performance is compared with Aizawa's scheme.

PID controller is being used in many servo control systems. However, when a control system has disturbance or time variable characteristic, it is very difficult guarantee the robustness of the system. In the way of solving this problem, in this paper, supervisory control method be based on error and error change for robust control of servo system is presented. Supervisory controller is designed by error and error change, and control input is decided by addition of control inputs of feedback and supervisory controller. The robust control function of supervisory controller is demonstrated by the computer simulation.

An analysis of the dynamics in the closing phase of the occluder of a mechanical monoleaflet heart valve prosthesis is presented. The backflow velocity of the fluid was computed by applying the continuity. Bernoulli's and momentum equations in the unsteady state. By considering the fluid pressure and gravity as external forces acting on the occluder, the moment equlilibrium on the occluder was employed to analyze the motion of the occluder during closing and the impact force between the occluder and the guiding struts.

An Energy Flow Method for the analytical study of vehicle oscillatory modes is proposed. This new method is based upon calculating activation energy of the system. First, the Energy Flow Method is formulated in terms of Eigen Vector. Then it is proved that this method is applicable to the analyses of motorcycle wobble mode and of shimmy mode of 4-wheeled vehicle, This method is also applied to the weave mode of motorcycle and to a coupled oscillatory mode of 4-wheeled vehicle.

In the cooling of high viscous fluid by the plate-fin type heat exchanger while the heat is transfered by the cooling, the degree of the level near plate wall considreably rises because tis degree is greatly caused by temperature change. Owing to the very low fluid speed, the heat transfer resistance rises and the cooling becomes insufficient at the level. Now there is something yet to learn the quantitative explanation about their sources and reasons and the practical solution. So I will research about the cooling of high viscous fluid inside the wavy channel that simply models the most general one in the practical plate-fin type heat exchanger. And I will take aim at the reasonable development or production temperature distribution and heat exchanger in this paper. And I will take aim at the reasonable development or production of the heat exchanger in this paper. I will investigate a speed distribution, a temperature distribution and heat transfer coefficient by the numerical analysis when the viscous degree and temperature change together. I will present some heat design data that treat the high viscous fluid effectively and have the optimal shape and structure based on the numerical analysis simulation

The three phase current - fed inverter discussed by phillips and Maags is becoming increaingly popular for reversible speed induction motor drive application This paper gives the designs of such an inverter for inductive loads, also the commutation analaysis of the R-L load required for the design of the three phase current-fed inverter. Experimental results have been compared with analaytical results.

This study proposes a method for manufacturing cell formation of maximizing similarities and flows between the machines by a way of inter-cell flow reduction. This method is applied to manufacturing environments (1) considering operation sequences of parts, (2) considering operation sequences and part demands. At first, we form the machine cells that maximize similarities and flows between the machines. Then we assign the parts to machine cells made applying a part-assignment rule which guarantees minimum exceptional elements and maximum wirkload balance among the cells. And also we measure the efficiencies of the formed manufacturing cell at system level and cell level. Two examples in the case of above (1) and (2) confirm our method, respectively.

Analysis no the phase change heat transfer in a staggered tube bank was carried out. Governingequations were transformed with the time dependent boundary-fitted coordinate system, and discretized with the power-law scheme. The interface position, molten volume fraction and the local Nusselt numbers around the cylinder surface were obtained as a function of time for various shape factors. The calculated results show that the melting rate increases with decrease of shape factor and the local Nusselt numbers around a cylinder surface decrease toward the lower part.

In the case of engine oil which is used under severe running condition, the anti-scuffing is very important. We have studied the anti-scuffing of engine oil with addition using the Falex wear test machine. For the phosphate as assitive the surface roughness characteistic is excellent at a low temperature. ZDTP the extremepressure property is excellent at the high load and Ca-phenate, anti-scuffing for adding is more improved than that for non adding. But when the ZDTP and P are added, the temperature characteristic is excellent because the stability is maintained in a high temperature, and adding phosphate, the anti-wear property is excellent. Therfore, adding the extreme pressure(ZDPT), the detergent(Ca-phenate), and the anti-wear (P) to engine oil, the lubrication characteristicbe comes better and as a result, the anti-scuffing characteristic is improved.

전압원 인버터의 leg를 스위칭하기 위한 새로운 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 leg의 두 스위치 중 하나만을 선택하여 turn on 및 off하고, 다른 하나는 off 상태에 두며, 스위칭 과도 오차가 아닌 leg의 스위칭 오차가 나타날 때에 선택을 바꾸는 것이다. Leg의 스위칭 오차는 leg의 출력 전압으로부터 검출한다. 결과로서, 제안하는 방법은 거의 dead time없이 leg를 스위칭한다. 제안하는 방법은 간결하고 쉽다. A new method for switching the leg of voltage source inverters is proposed. The proposed method is that which selects and turns on and off only one of the two switches of the leg, and maintains the other in the off state, and changes the selection when the switching error of the leg except the switching transient error appears. The switching error of the leg is detected from the output voltage of the leg. As a result, the proposed method switches the leg nearly without the dead times. The proposed method in simple, clear, and easy.
