Bacthing Auditing of Data in Multicloud Storage

Cloud storage enables users to outsource their data to cloud servers and enjoy the on-demand services. However, this new paradigm also introduces integrity threats toward user’ outsourced data. This paper develops an efficient auditing mechanism, which support batch auditing for multiple data files in multi-cloud environment. By constructing a sequence-enforced Merkle Hash Tree, the proposed protocol can resist the replace attack. By using the bilinear map, the proposed protocol achieves stateless and transparent verification. By putting the computation of intermediate values of the verification on cloud servers, our method can greatly reduce the computing burden of the auditor. The performance analysis proves the good efficiency of the proposed protocol.
Laser Spot Detection Using Robust Dictionary Construction and Update

In laser pointer interaction systems, laser spot detection is one of the most important technologies, and most of the challenges in this area are related to the varying backgrounds, and the real-time performance of the interaction system. In this paper, we present a robust dictionary construction and update algorithm based on a sparse model of background subtraction. In order to control dynamic backgrounds, first, we determine whether there is a change in the backgrounds; if this is true, the new background can be directly added to the dictionary configurations; otherwise, we run an online cumulative average on the backgrounds to update the dictionary. The proposed dictionary construction and update algorithm for laser spot detection, is robust to the varying backgrounds and noises, and can be implemented in real time. A large number of experimental results have confirmed the superior performance of the proposed method in terms of the detection error and real-time implementation.

To isolate an improved pristinamycin producing strain of Streptomyces pristinaespiralis, the technique of Genome shuffling was used which resulted in a high-yield recombinant G 3-56 strain. Strain G 3-56 yielded 322 ± 17 mg/L of pristinamycin which was 11.4-fold higher than that of the initial strain and 3.7-fold higher than strain UN-78 which previously had the highest yield of pristinamycin. The genetic characteristics of the recombinant G 3-56 strain was stable as revealed by our subculture experiments. The optimal production medium was determined using the orthogonal matrix method. Under the optimal medium conditions, the maximum yield of pristinamycin was 412 mg/L with about 1.24-fold higher than the original medium. Background/Aims: Opportunistic infection in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) has become a serious problem. However, its status of doctors’ opinions and test equipment in hospitals are unclear. The aim of the study was to investigate these issues to improve the prognosis of IBD patients. Methods: This retrospective, multicenter study was conducted by 83 investigators who were members of the Asian Organization for Crohn’s and Colitis. Data on opportunistic infection were collected from hospital databases between January 2017 and December 2017. The survey consisted of 11 items. Results: Most physicians appreciated the diagnostic value of tissue cytomegalovirus (CMV) DNA, accounting for 86.1% of members in China, 37.5% in Japan, 52.9% in South Korea, and 66.7% in Southeast Asia. Only 83.1% of hospitals had the ability to test for CMV immunohistochemistry in Asia. Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) screening was recommended by all members. However, only 66.7% in China, 70.6% in South Korea, and 66.7% in Southeast Asia agreed to routinely vaccinate IBD patients when HBsAg tested negative. Most members preferred metronidazole (74.7%) as the first choice for patients with Clostridium difficile infection. However, the proportion of stool C. difficile toxin test was lower in China than in other areas (75.0% in China vs 95.8% in Japan and 100% in South Korea and Southeast Asia, p<0.05). Conclusions: Opportunistic infection from CMV, hepatitis B virus, and C. difficile should be of high concern for IBD patients. More efforts are needed, such as understanding consensus in clinical practice and improving testing facilities in hospitals.

The recent proliferation of intelligent technologies has promoted autonomous driving. The autonomous parking system has become a popular feature in autonomous driving. Hybrid A-star algorithm is a commonly used path planning algorithm for its simplicity to deploy and the good characteristics of the generated paths in the practical engineering. To further enhance the path safety and efficiency of path planning in the autonomous parking system, this paper proposes an improved hybrid A-star algorithm through the safety-enhanced design and the efficiency-enhanced design. The safety-enhanced design integrates the Voronoi field potential into the path searching stage to take more account of path safety. The efficiency-enhanced design proposes a multi-stage dynamic optimization strategy which divides the path planning into multiple stages and performs dynamic optimization in each stage. Through simulation experiments, it is verified that the proposed improved algorithm not only generates a much safer path which stays farther from the obstacles but also significantly improves the searching efficiency in terms of time and space, merely at a finite cost of pre-processing work which can also be repeatedly utilized. We hope this paper will promote relative research on path planning in autonomous parking and serve as a reference for the practical engineering.
