Third Party Logistics Service Provider Selection : Application of the Improved Aggregate Cost Method

During the process of enterprise management, those chemical enterprises usually adopt outsourcing, as they hand over the logistical work to the third party. Here, we call the third part the “logistics service provider”. In this paper, Chemical Enterprise A is set as an example to study the application of the optimizing selection for the third party logistics service provider, as well as its improvement of aggregate cost method. This paper is aimed at theory, practicality and operability, and hoping to choose the provider which can guarantee the cost is smallest by introducing the original provider model. Among all the aspects, this paper is persuasive. Meanwhile, due to the instability of the relevant data which are collected, the factors impacting upon the total cost are uncertain, thus their credibility is affected. Later, according to the actual demand of the logistics service provider as well as the Benefit-Cost Ratio in aggregate cost method, the qualitative method and the quantitative method are combined with each other, and then the cost can be reduced through Analytic Hierarchy Process. Moreover, the factors which are irrelevant to cost selection are reasonably transformed into the cost adjustment proportion, and an improved provider selection model is established. At last, by introducing the specific case of the third party logistics service provider of Chemical Enterprise A, the effectiveness in practical application of improving the provider selection model can be verified.

Seven new dianthrone glycosides, named polygonumnolidesA1–B3 (1–7), were isolated from the 70 %EtOH extract of the dried roots of Polygonum multiflorumThunb. using column chromatography and preparativehigh-performance liquid chromatography. Their structureswere determined by 1D and 2D NMR and mass spectroscopy. The isolated compounds were evaluated for theircytotoxic effects against KB tumor cell lines and compounds1–4 showed moderate cytotoxicity.
Making Line Undercut Structure by Incremental Laser Shock Forming

A novel technology to plastically deform line undercut structures by pulsed laser, named as incremental laser shock forming (ILSF) of sheet metal, is presented in this paper and is investigated by experiments and numerical simulations. The deformation of a line undercut structure can be considered as the accumulation of several point undercuts, the shape evolution during ILSF of copper foils was observed, and the thickness distribution on a cross-section was measured. The influences of laser energy E, forming height H, and laser spot overlap rate η on the process were studied and a process window was established to avoid deformation failure. The results show that the plastic deformation at η = 0% is less uniform and more vulnerable than that at η = 50%. Three typical failure modes were concluded and discussed. Finite element method simulation was conducted to verify the feasibility of forming line undercut structure by ILSF, and to analyze its deformation mechanism.
Anti-Oxidation of Cultured Cordyceps militaris Growing on Silkworm Pupa

Cordyceps, one of the well-known traditional Chinese medicines, consists of the dried fungus C. sinensis growing on the larva of caterpillar. It is commonly used as a tonic of restoring vital body functions. In order to evaluate the pharmacological effects of C. militaris, the anti-oxidation and antiaging effect of cultured C. militaris growing on pupa of silkworm Bombyx mori, were investigated. The results showed! that the contents of lipofusin in myocardium were reduced and the SOD activity in the liver were elevated in a dose-dependent manner while no effect was observed for blood GSH-Px activity and liver MDA content in mice perfused with the cultured C. militaris compared to those untreated mice. Furthermore, the average life span, maximum life span and 50% death time of the fruit flies treated with cultured C. militaris were markedly prolonged. The results suggest that the cultured C. militaris growing on pupa of silkworm possesses anti-oxidation and delay senescence activity.

To improve the properties of silkworm (Bombyx mori) pupa protein (SPP), the effects of different modification techniques included enzymolysis, ultrasound, and micronization on the molecular structure and bioactivity of SPP has been evaluated in this study. The results showed that enzymolysis modification led to the most substantial change in the area and shape of the infrared (IR) absorption peaks, decreased in size with an increased number of cracks of modified protein by scanning electron microscopy images, followed by ultrasound and micronization modification. After modification by enzymolysis, ultrasound, and micronization, the sulfhydryl concentrations of SPPwere increased by 48.56%, 34.82%, and 12.46%, respectively; disulfide bond concentrations were reduced by 40.47%, 10.79%, and 11.72%, respectively. Furthermore, the ratios of essential amino acids among total amino acids increased by 13.85%, 2.22%, and 6.93%, respectively. Antioxidant activity and ACE-inhibitory activity of SPP also increased notably after modifications.

<P>We measured the initial <I>M</I>–<I>H</I> curves for a sample of the newly discovered superconductor NdFeAsO<SUB>0.82</SUB>Fe<SUB>0.18</SUB>, which had a critical temperature, <I>T</I><SUB>c</SUB>, of 51 K and was fabricated at the high pressure of 6 GPa. The lower critical field, <I>H</I><SUB>c1</SUB>, was extracted from the deviation point of the Meissner linearity in the <I>M</I>–<I>H</I> curves, which show linear temperature dependence in the low temperature region down to 5 K. The <I>H</I><SUB>c1</SUB>(<I>T</I>) indicates no s-wave superconductivity, but rather an unconventional superconductivity with a nodal gap structure. Furthermore, the linearity of <I>H</I><SUB>c1</SUB> at low temperature does not hold at high temperature, but shows other characteristics, indicating that this superconductor might have multi-gap features. Based on the low temperature nodal gap structure, we estimate that the maximum gap magnitude Δ<SUB>0</SUB> = (1.6 ± 0.2) <I>k</I><SUB>B</SUB><I>T</I><SUB>c</SUB>.</P>
Evidence for the Presence of Long-Lived Plasma Cells in Nasal Polyps

Purpose: Plasma cells and immunoglobulins (Igs) play a pivotal role in the induction and maintenance of chronic inflammation in nasal polyps. During secondary immune responses, plasma cell survival and Ig production are regulated by the local environment. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the presence of long-lived plasma cells (LLPCs) and specific survival niches for LLPCs in human nasal polyps. Methods: Nasal mucosal samples were cultured with an air-liquid interface system and the Ig levels in culture supernatants were analyzed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The characteristics of LLPCs in nasal polyps were determined by immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence. The expression of neurotrophins as well as their receptors was detected by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and Western blotting. Results: The numbers of CD138+ total plasma cells and BCL2+ plasma cells were increased in both eosinophilic and non-eosinophilic nasal polyps compared with those in normal tissues. The production of IgG, IgA, and IgE was detected in culture supernatants even after a 32-day culture of nasal polyps. Although the total numbers of plasma cells were decreased in nasal polyps after culture, the numbers of BCL2+ plasma cells remained stable. The expression of nerve growth factor (NGF) as well as tropomyosin receptor kinase (Trk) A, a high-affinity receptor for NGF, was upregulated in both eosinophilic and non-eosinophilic nasal polyps. In addition, BCL2+ plasma cell numbers were positively correlated with NGF and TrkA mRNA expression in nasal mucosal tissues. Polyp plasma cells had the expression of TrkA. Conclusions: Human nasal polyps harbor a population of LLPCs and NGF may be involved in their prolonged survival. LLPCs may be a novel therapeutic target for suppressing the local Ig production in nasal polyps.

While screening for cellulase-producing fungi from insect gut, a fungus with high endoglucanase (carboxymethylcellulase; CMCase) activitywas isolated fromthe larval gut of Bombyx mori. Based onmorphological characteristicsand using an 18S rRNA-based molecular phylogenetic approach, the fungus, strain BMC-2, was identified as aMucor sp. expressing a novel alkalotolerant cellulase. The maximum production of cellulase by the BMC-2 strainwas observed at 55°C and pH8.0. The CMCase activity was inhibited by Cu2+ N Na+ N Zn2+ N Mg2+ N Ba2+, andinduced by Ca2+, Mn2+, Fe2+, and K+.
