Polysomnography and Neuropsychological Analysis of Patients With Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Two Years After the COVID-19 Pandemic in Wuhan

        Junhua Mei,Yanjie Xu,Xue Gong,Jinmei Xu,Guohua Chen,Weiqi Chen,Yicong Wang,Zhaohong Kong,Yilong Wang,Qing Yang 대한신경정신의학회 2024 PSYCHIATRY INVESTIGATION Vol.21 No.3

Objective We used polysomnography (PSG) monitoring and neuropsychological scales to explore the characteristics of coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) patients diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in Wuhan, two years after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods A total of 42 patients in the Sleep Medicine Center were diagnosed with insomnia between December 2021 and May 2022; they were divided into the PTSD group (patients with PTSD diagnosed with insomnia after COVID-19 infection) and the non-PTSD group (patients with insomnia without PTSD). A healthy control group was simultaneously included. Results The PTSD group was more significant than the non-PTSD group in partial manifestations of sleep disorders, neuropsychological clinical symptoms, and partial PSG data. Patients with different COVID-19 subtypes showed significant differences in the course of disease, sleep disorders, neuropsychological clinical symptoms, relevant scale scores, and PSG data analysis. Conclusion The emotional anxiety and depression of COVID-19 patients diagnosed with PTSD two years after the COVID-19 pandemic in Wuhan are more significant, and will not be self-alleviated with the passage of time. It is necessary to continue to pay attention to the PTSD symptoms and sleep psychology of COVID-19 infected patients, and take appropriate measures. Patients with severe and critical COVID-19 have more severe sleep and mental disorders, and there is a significant correlation between the duration of the disease and the severity of mental and mental disorders and sleep disorders after recovery.

      • Facial Feature Extraction Based on Weighted ALW and Pulse-Coupled Neural Network

        Junhua Liang,Zhisheng Zhao,Xiao Zhang,Xuan Wang,Yang Liu 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Signal Processing, Image Vol.9 No.8

In order to improve the robustness of face identification with the changes of illumina-tion, expression and facial alteration, a new facial feature extraction algorithm based on weighted adaptive lifting wavelet(ALW) scheme and pulse-coupled neural network (PCNN) is involved in this paper. The face images are decomposed into several subbands by weighted adaptive lifting scheme. Then the PCNN is utilized to decompose each weighted subbands into a series of binary images, the entropies of which are calculated and regarded as facial features. Experimental results show that the method yields a good robustness against the illumination, expression and facial variability and reduces the computer burden.

Non-fragile Suboptimal Set-membership Estimation for Delayed Memristive Neural Networks with Quantization via Maximum-error-first Protocol

        Yu Yang,Jun Hu,Dongyan Chen,Yunliang Wei,Junhua Du 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2020 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.18 No.7

This paper is concerned with the non-fragile protocol-based set-membership estimation problem for a class of discrete memristive neural networks (MNNs) with mixed time-delays, quantization and unknown but bounded noises. The nonlinear neural activation function satisfies the sector-bounded condition and the logarithmic quantization error is transformed to the norm-bounded uncertainty. In order to save the networks resources, the maximum-error-first (MEF) protocol is introduced to allocate the utilization order of the network channel. The focus is on the design of non-fragile state estimator to ensure such that, in the simultaneous presence of the mixed time-delays, quantization errors and estimator gain perturbations, real state is confined to the ellipsoid. In particular, a minimization problem is given to determine the radius of the designed ellipsoid and the estimator gain matrix by testifying the feasibility of some recursive matrix inequalities. Finally, some simulations are used to show the feasibility of the developed non-fragile suboptimal state estimation strategy.

      • Effect of Micronutrient Supplementation on the Growth of Preschool Children in China

        Han, Junhua,Yang, Yuexin,Shao, Xiaoping,He, Mei,Bian, Lihua,Wang, Zhu The Korean Nutrition Society 2002 Nutritional Sciences Vol.5 No.3

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of micronutrient supplementation on the growth of preschool children in China. A double-blind, placebo-controlled trial was conducted on 156 growth retarded preschool children who were randomly assigned to the following five groups : supplemental control (S-control; n=28); zinc supplementation (+Zn; 3.5mg Zn/day, n=34); zinc and calcium supplementation (+ZnCa; 3.5mg Zn + 250mg Ca/day, n=37); zinc, calcium and vitamin A supplementation (+ZnCaVA; 3.5mgZn + 250mgCa + 200gVA/day, n=28); and calcium and vitamin A supplementation (+CaVA; 250mgCa + 200gVA/day, n=29). Another 34 children of normal height were selected as a normal control (N-control). Supplementation continued for twelve months. After supplementation, the height gains in the +Zn group (7.84cm per year) and the +ZnCa group (7.70 cm per year) were significantly higher than that in the S-control group (6.74 cm per year, P<0.05). The weight gain in the +ZnCaVA group (2.55kg per year) and the +CaVA group (2.57 kg per year) was also significantly higher than that in the S-control group (2.19 kg per year, P<0.05). The average number of days of illness in each group taking supplements was lower than that in the S-control group (13 days per year compared with 23 days per year). No significant differences in bone maturity were observed between the groups. In conclusion, in this study Zinc and Zinc + Calcium supplementation improved the height gain, and vitamin A improved the weight gain, in growth retarded preschool children, but these supplements did not affect the maturity of bone. Micronutrient supplementation also lowered the morbidity of these children.

Elastostatic Stiffness Analysis of a 2PUR-PSR Overconstrained Parallel Mechanism

Chao Yang,Qiaohong Chen,Junhua Tong,Qinchuan Li 한국정밀공학회 2019 International Journal of Precision Engineering and Vol.20 No.4

The elastostatic stiffness performance of a 2PUR-PSR (S: spherical joint; U: universal joint; R: revolute joint; P: prismatic pair) overconstrained parallel mechanism with two rotational and one translational (2R1T) degrees of freedom was studied based on screw theory and strain energy. First, the actuator and constraint wrenches of the mechanism were obtained based on screw theory. Second, by considering the space composite elastic deformation of the rod (including axial tension, and shear, torsional and bending deformation), compact limb stiffness matrixes were obtained in terms of strain energy and Castigliano’s second theorem. Finally, analytic expressions for the overall stiffness matrix of the mechanism and the amplitudes of the actuator and constrained wrenches were obtained based on the virtual-work principle and the balance equation for a moving platform. The relative error between results from the analytical model and the Workbench finite element model is approximately 1.3%, which validates the effectiveness of the proposed elastostatic stiffness model. Unlike traditional stiffness evaluation index, a regional stiffness index was proposed to measure the mechanism’s stiffness performance at various working heights. Using the index, it is possible to determine the optimum stiffness region of a moving platform with known external wrenches.

A New Full-Aperture Reflective Null Measuring Method for Conformal Dome

Xu Dong Yang,Junhua Wang,Min Xu 한국광학회 2016 Current Optics and Photonics Vol.20 No.1

In this paper, a novel full-aperture reflective null measuring method is proposed to detect the transmissionwavefront of a conformal dome surface. An aspheric compensator is designed and placed behind the dometo reflect the aspheric testing wave back to the same path. To ensure the feasibility of this method, toleranceanalysis is conducted, and guidance to assembly is given accordingly. The accuracy of this method isverified to be λ/30 (λ =3.39 μm) by Monte Carlo algorithm. In addition, the influence of different error factors, including the thickness error and decenter error of the dome, on the testing wavefront is analyzed. Simulationand experiment indicate that this method is practical and simple, and can measure the conformal domesprecisely and comprehensively.

The Effect of Oxygen Vacancies and Strain on the Curie Temperature of La0.7Sr0.3MnO₃ Films

        Rongrong Ma,Junhua Hou,Hu Yang 한국자기학회 2018 Journal of Magnetics Vol.23 No.3

The effects of oxygen vacancies and strain on the magnetism and Curie temperature of La0.7Sr0.3MnO₃ (LSMO) thin films deposited by PLD are investigated by changing oxygen partial pressure and increasing the interface mismatch between LSMO and SrTiO₃. The presence of oxygen vacancies reduces the double exchange effect between Mn3+ and Mn4+ ions, and the high-quality crystals effectively increase the Curie temperature of LSMO. Moreover, SrTiO₃ simultaneously exerts strain on the upper and lower interfaces of the LSMO film to promote orbital reconstruction of the eg electrons in the Mn3+ ions. These electrons preferentially occupy the eg(x2-y2) orbit and lead to an enhancement in the in-plane ferromagnetic exchange effect, thereby increasing the Curie temperature. These results suggest that the magnetic properties of these materials can be controlled through artificial structure design and provide guidance for their application in high Curie temperature spintronic devices.

Comparative Genomic Analysis and Rapid Molecular Detection of Xanthomonas euvesicatoria Using Unique ATP-Dependent DNA Helicase recQ, hrpB1, and hrpB2 Genes Isolated from Physalis pubescens in China

        Faisal Siddique,Yang Mingxiu,Xu Xiaofeng,Ni Zhe,Haseeb Younis,Peng Lili,Zhang Junhua 한국식물병리학회 2023 Plant Pathology Journal Vol.39 No.2

Ground cherry (Physalis pubescens) is the most prominent species in the Solanaceae family due to its nutritional content, and prospective health advantages. It is grown all over the world, but notably in northern China. In 2019 firstly bacterial leaf spot (BLS) disease was identified on P. pubescens in China that caused by both BLS pathogens Xanthomonas euvesicatoria pv. euvesicatoria resulted in substantial monetary losses. Here, we compared whole genome sequences of X. euvesicatoria to other Xanthomonas species that caused BLS diseases for high similarities and dissimilarities in genomic sequences through average nucleotide identity (ANI) and BLAST comparison. Molecular techniques and phylogenetic trees were adopted to detect X. euvesicatoria on P. pubescens using recQ, hrpB1, and hrpB2 genes for efficient and precise identification. For rapid molecular detection of X. euvesicatoria, loop-mediated isothermal amplification, polymerase chain reaction (PCR), and real-time PCR techniques were used. Whole genome comparison results showed that the genome of X. euvesicatoria was more closely relative to X. perforans than X. vesicatoria, and X. gardneri with 98%, 84%, and 86% ANI, respectively. All infected leaves of P. pubescens found positive amplification, and negative controls did not show amplification. The findings of evolutionary history revealed that isolated strains XeC10RQ, XeH- 9RQ, XeA10RQ, and XeB10RQ that originated from China were closely relative and highly homologous to the X. euvesicatoria. This research provides information to researchers on genomic variation in BLS pathogens, and further molecular evolution and identification of X. euvesicatoria using the unique target recQ gene through advance molecular approaches.
