• Analysis of Electromagnetic Immunity Experiment for Field Installation of Intelligent Equipment in Substation

Ji Jianfei,Wang Lihui,Yuan Yubo,Yang Yifei 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Signal Processing, Image Vol.9 No.1

With the increase of voltage level and more and more secondary devices are located in field, the secondary circuit of substation is in a strong electromagnetic environment. Because the secondary circuit is affected by the interference of switch operations, there are many trip accidents happened in substations without any fault in recently years, which constitutes a serious threat to the power network and harms the safe operation of the electric power system. It is of great theoretical significance and practical value to study the Electromagnetic Compatibility problem of the transformer substations substation secondary circuit. In this paper, the abnormal phenomenon of one 110kV intelligent substation merging unit is described. And the reason of the abnormal phenomenon is analyzed. Firstly, the Electromagnetic Compatibility experiments specified by the IEC61000-4 standard are carried out. Furthermore, to verify the anti–interference performance of the merging unit, the Electromagnetic Compatibility experiments above the standard are carried out. The structure of merging unit is improved until the merging unit operates normally. Secondly, to quantitatively analyze the disturbance strength, the electromagnetic disturbance signal is recorded, and the characteristics of amplitude and time-frequency of the recorded signal are analyzed. Thirdly, the characteristics of the logged signal are compared to the IEC61000-4 standard. Finally, this paper puts forward some suggestions about improving the Electromagnetic Compatibility performance of merging unit.

Active Distribution System Planning Considering Battery Swapping Station for Low-carbon Objective using Immune Binary Firefly Algorithm

        Ji-Ying Shi,Ya-Jing Li,Fei Xue,Le-Tao Ling,Wen-An Liu,Da-Ling Yuan,Ting Yang 대한전기학회 2018 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.13 No.2

Active distribution system (ADS) considering distributed generation (DG) and electric vehicle (EV) is an effective way to cut carbon emission and improve system benefits. ADS is an evolving, complex and uncertain system, thus comprehensive model and effective optimization algorithms are needed. Battery swapping station (BSS) for EV service is an essential type of flexible load (FL). This paper establishes ADS planning model considering BSS firstly for the minimization of total cost including feeder investment, operation and maintenance, net loss and carbon tax. Meanwhile, immune binary firefly algorithm (IBFA) is proposed to optimize ADS planning. Firefly algorithm (FA) is a novel intelligent algorithm with simple structure and good convergence. By involving biological immune system into FA, IBFA adjusts antibody population scale to increase diversity and global search capability. To validate proposed algorithm, IBFA is compared with particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm on IEEE 39-bus system. The results prove that IBFA performs better than PSO in global search and convergence in ADS planning.

Effects of α-Si₃N₄ seeds and sintering additives on properties of porous silicon nitride ceramics fabricated by carbothermal reduction

Yuan Lu,Ji-Qiang Gao,Jian-feng Yang 한양대학교 세라믹연구소 2008 Journal of Ceramic Processing Research Vol.9 No.6

In this paper, porous Si3N4 ceramics were fabricated by carbothermal reduction between silicon dioxide and carbon [1]. The influences of α-Si3N4 seeds and sintering additives on the microstructure and mechanical properties of porous Si3N4 ceremics were investigated. XRD analysis proved the complete formation of a single-phase β-Si3N4. SEM analysis showed that the resultant porous Si3N4 ceramics had a fine microstructure and a uniform pore structure. The sintered sample with Lu2O3 as sintering additive showed finer, higher aspect ratio β-Si3N4 grains. The addition of Eu2O3 accelerated the densification of porous Si3N4 ceramics, decreased the porosity and increased the flexural strength. The addition of α-Si3N4 seeds accelerated the formation of the α-Si3N4 phase at a low temperature and the α-β phase transformation process at a high temperature. With an increase in the α-Si3N4 seeds content, the porosity decreased, and the flexural strength increased accordingly. • Effect of Xeroderma Pigmentosum Complementation Group F Polymorphisms on Gastric Cancer Risk and Associations with H.pylori Infection

Zhang, Ji-Shun,Zhang, Chuan,Yan, Xue-Yan,Yuan, Zhi-Fang,Duan, Zhuo-Yang,Gao, Hui Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2013 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.14 No.3

We conducted a hospital case-control study by genotyping four potential functional single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) to assess the association of Xeroderma pigmentosum complementation group F (XPF) with gastric cancer susceptibility, and role of XPF polymorphisms in combination with H.pylori infection in risk definition. A total of 331 patients with gastric cancer and 355 controls were collected. Four SNPs of XPF, rs180067, rs1799801, rs2276466 and rs744154, were genotyped by Taqman real-time PCR method with a 7900 HT sequence detector system. The gastric cancer patients were more likely to have smoking habit, a family history of cancer and H.pylori infection. We did not find any significant difference in the genotype distributions of XPF rs180067, rs1799801, rs2276466 and rs744154 between cases and controls. However, multivariate logistic analysis showed a non-significant decreased risk in patients carrying rs180067 G allele, rs1799801 T allele or rs2276466 T allele genotypes. A non-significant increased risk of gastric cancer was found in individuals carrying the rs744154 GG genotype. Stratification by H.pylori infection and smoking was not significantly different in polymorphisms of XPF rs180067, rs1799801, rs2276466 and rs744154. The four XPF SNPs did not show significant interaction with H.pylori infection and smoking status (P for interaction was 0.35 and 0.18, respectively). Our study indicated that polymorphisms in rs180067, rs1799801, rs2276466 and rs744154 may affect the risk of gastric cancer but further large sample size studies are needed to validate any association.

Development of the vapor film thickness correlation in porous corrosion deposits on the cladding in PWR

        Shen Yuan,Duan Zhengang,Lu Chuan,Ji Li,Jiao Caishan,Hou Hongguo,Chao Nan,Zhang Meng,Zhou Yu,Gao Yang 한국원자력학회 2022 Nuclear Engineering and Technology Vol.54 No.12

The porous corrosion deposits (known as CRUD) adhered to the cladding have an important effect on the heat transfer from fuel rods to coolant in PWRs. The vapor film is the main constituent in the two-phase film boiling model. This paper presents a vapor film thickness correlation, associated with CRUD porosity, CRUD chimney density, CRUD particle size, CRUD thickness and heat flux. The dependences of the vapor film thickness on the various influential factors can be intuitively reflected from this vapor film thickness correlation. The temperature, pressure, and boric acid concentration distributions in CRUD can be well predicted using the two-phase film boiling model coupled with the vapor film thickness correlation. It suggests that the vapor thickness correlation can estimate the vapor film thickness more conveniently than the previously reported vapor thickness calculation methods.

        Hui Ni,Yuan Fan Yang,Feng Chen,Hai Feng Ji,Hu Yang,Wu Ling,Hui Nong Cai 한국식품과학회 2014 Food Science and Biotechnology Vol.23 No.3

Pectinase and naringinase were investigated forimproving the production of pummelo juice by increasingthe juice yield and eliminating juice bitterness. Comparedto a control, the enzymatic treatment significantly (p<0.05)increased the juice yield, soluble pectin and total solublesolid (TSS) contents, and the clarity, while decreasing theconcentrations of the bitter chemicals naringin, limonin, and nomilin. A combined processing treatment of peelingand enzymatic hydrolyses using 5U/g of pectinase and 0.4 U/gof naringinase at 50oC for 60 min resulted in a juice yieldof 42.3%, a TSS content of 11.4oBx, a titrable acidity (TA)of 0.96%, a vitamin C concentration of 38.4 mg/100 mL,and concentrations of naringin, limonin, and nomilin of42.4 μg/mL, 33.5 μg/mL, and 13.3 μg/mL, respectively. The enzymatic method was effective and practical forproduction of high quantity pummelo juice.

      • Full Dimension MIMO (FD-MIMO): Demonstrating Commercial Feasibility

        Xu, Gary,Yang Li,Jin Yuan,Monroe, Robert,Rajagopal, Sridhar,Ramakrishna, Sudhir,Young Han Nam,Ji-Yun Seol,Jaeweon Kim,Gul, Malik Muhammad Usman,Aziz, Ahsan,Jianzhong Zhang IEEE 2017 IEEE journal on selected areas in communications Vol.35 No.8

Massive multi-input multi-output (MIMO) is shown to significantly increase spectral efficiency by exploiting a large number of antennas to support high-order multiuser MIMO. In 3GPP Release-13, a full-dimension MIMO (FD-MIMO) technology was introduced to address practical aspects for massive MIMO in cellular systems; extensive simulations show 2-4 times capacity gain compared with current LTE systems. FD-MIMO has been identified as one of the key 5G technologies and is being continuously improved in 3GPP new radio standards. However, several practical challenges such as interference mitigation among MIMO streams for a large number of users with limited channel feedback, hardware limitations, such as calibration errors that limit the precoding capabilities need to be addressed carefully. A proof of concept (PoC) base-station and user equipment (UE) prototype has been designed to validate the potential of FD-MIMO technology and demonstrate commercial implementation feasibility. In this paper, we present theory and architecture behind an FD-MIMO prototype and share the field test results with LTE-based UEs in a multi-user MIMO setup. We also analyze the impact of transmitter and receiver calibration errors on the performance of the FD-MIMO system.

Influence of the Incorporation of Aluminum on the Optical Properties of MCM-41

        Ya-Ping Hsieh,Yang-Fang Chen,Ai-Qin Wang,Chi-Te Liang,Chung-Yuan Mou,Ji-Wei Chen 한국물리학회 2007 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.50 No.6

Different ratios of aluminum were incorporated into MCM-41. PL measurements revealed a blue shift and an enhancement in intensity by 2 orders of magnitude as the Si : Al ratio was decreased to 14. By comparing the PL and the photoluminescence excitation (PLE) spectra of aluminosilicate MCM-41 to silica MCM-41 and to published reports on similar materials, we are able to identify the origin of the photoluminescence enhancement.

SPA0355 attenuates ischemia/reperfusion-induced liver injury in mice

        Bae, Ui-Jin,Yang, Jae Do,Ka, Sun-O,Koo, Jeung-Hyun,Woo, Seong Ji,Lee, Young-Rae,Yu, Hee Chul,Cho, Baik Hwan,Zhao, Hui-Yuan,Ryu, Jae-Ha,Lee, Sang-Myeong,Jeon, Raok,Park, Byung-Hyun Nature Publishing Group 2014 Experimental and molecular medicine Vol.46 No.8

Hepatic ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury leads to oxidative stress and acute inflammatory responses that cause liver damage and have a considerable impact on the postoperative outcome. Much research has been performed to develop possible protective techniques. We aimed to investigate the efficacy of SPA0355, a synthetic thiourea analog, in an animal model of hepatic I/R injury. Male C57BL/6 mice underwent normothermic partial liver ischemia for 45 min followed by varying periods of reperfusion. The animals were divided into three groups: sham operated, I/R and SPA0355 pretreated. Pretreatment with SPA0355 protected against hepatic I/R injury, as indicated by the decreased levels of serum aminotransferase and reduced parenchymal necrosis and apoptosis. Liver synthetic function was also restored by SPA0355 as reflected by the prolonged prothrombin time. To gain insight into the mechanism involved in this protection, we measured the activity of nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB), which revealed that SPA0355 suppressed the nuclear translocation and DNA binding of NF-κB subunits. Concomitantly, the expression of NF-κB target genes such as IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α and iNOS was significantly downregulated. Lastly, the liver antioxidant enzymes superoxide dismutase, catalase and glutathione were upregulated by SPA0355 treatment, which correlated with the reduction in serum malondialdehyde. Our results suggest that SPA0355 pretreatment prior to I/R injury could be an effective method to reduce liver damage.
