저속 에너지 도플러 넓어짐 양전자 소멸 분광법으로 $MgB_2$ 박막내의 원자 크기 정도 고체 구조 특성에 대하여 조사하였다. 양전자와 전자의 쌍소멸로 발생하는 511keV 감마선 스펙트럼의 수리적 해석 방법인 S-변수를 사용하여, 상전이 근처 온도에서 박막의 구조 변화를 측정하였다. 비등방성 구조로 된 $MgB_2$ 박막에서 초전도 특성을 갖는 상전이 온도 근처에서 S-변수를 측정하였다. 양전자의 입사 에너지 10keV에서 측정된 S-변수의 최고치는 박막의 온도가 30K에서 0.567이고, 50 K에서는 0.570로 큰 변화는 없었다. 이 결과로부터 양전자가 Boron 층의 초 전자와 소멸하기 보다는 Mg층 근처의 상 전자와 소멸하는 것으로 판단된다. $MgB_2$의 박막의 외층은 Mg층으로 이루어졌다고 할 수 있다. The Characterization of $MgB_2$ Thin Film by Slow Positron Annihilation Spectroscopy Enhance signal-to-noise ratio, slow positron coincidence Doppler Broadening method has been applied to study of characteristics of $MgB_2$ superconductor film, which were performed at 30 K and 50 K sample temperature near Tc of it. In this investigation the numerical analysis of the Doppler spectra was employed to the determination of the shape parameter, S, defined as the ratio between the amount of counts in a central portion of the spectrum and the total counts of whole spectrum. The S-parameter values were increased then decreased while the positron implantation energies were increasing, that indicated the diffusion into the samples. The S-parameters of the anisotropic 1 ${\mu}m$ $MgB_2$ thin film which were implanted by positrons at 10 keV are 0.567 at 30 K and 0.570 at 50 K. It is believed that the positrons annihilate with normal-electrons instead of super-electrons in the $MgB_2$ superconductor.

A Primary Role for Nucleus Accumbens and Related Limbic Network in Vocal Tics

<P>Inappropriate vocal expressions, e.g., vocal tics in Tourette syndrome, severely impact quality of life. Neural mechanisms underlying vocal tics remain unexplored because no established animal model representing the condition exists. We report that unilateral disinhibition of the nucleus accumbens (NAc) generates vocal tics in monkeys. Whole-brain PET imaging identified prominent, bilateral limbic cortico-subcortical activation. Local field potentials (LFPs) developed abnormal spikes in the NAc and the anterior cingulate cortex (ACC). Vocalization could occur without obvious LFP spikes, however, when phase-phase coupling of alpha oscillations were accentuated between the NAc, ACC, and the primary motor cortex. These findings contrasted with myoclonic motor tics induced by disinhibition of the dorsolateral putamen, where PET activity was confined to the ipsilateral sensorimotor system and LFP spikes always preceded motor tics. We propose that vocal tics emerge as a consequence of dysrhythmic alpha coupling between critical nodes in the limbic and motor networks.</P>
Analysis on Surge Voltage in Inverter-fed Motor Using Frequency Response Analysis

In this paper, distribution of voltages between coils in inverter-fed motor and its mechanism are discussed. Insulation reliability of inverter-fed motor is one of major problems in HEV application. To ensure the reliability of insulation, enough thickness of insulation layer of coil-wire is desired to avoid partial discharge in air gap between coilwires, though the voltages between coils changes complexly due to its high frequency response. To analyze distribution of the voltages between coils, the simultaneous measurements of the voltages in various points in motor were performed. In addition, frequency response analyses of the voltages between coils were performed to understand its high frequency response. From these measurements and analysis , the fact that the LC-resonance between coil inductance and its stray capacitance causes surge voltage in motor is revealed.

<P>Abstract</P><P>We isolated 13 polymorphic microsatellites from the red-tide causing dinoflagellate <I>Akashiwo sanguinea</I>. These loci were highly variable, with between 2 and 10 alleles per locus, and estimated gene diversity ranging from 0.08 to 0.82. These loci have the potential to reveal genetic structure and estimate gene flow among <I>A. sanguinea</I> populations.</P>

Durability of a nickel and scandia-stabilized zirconia cermet anode against toluene in hydrogen was evaluated in this paper. Anode deterioration was judged by the loss of elemental nickel from a surface of an anode. Elemental nickel loss was observed when the toluene concentration was 3 or 10 g/Nm<SUP>3</SUP>, steam to carbon ratio was 1, and current density was 0.5 A/cm<SUP>2</SUP> at both temperatures: 1073 K and 1173 K. Therefore the tolerance criterion must be less than 3 g/Nm<SUP>3</SUP> in hydrogen in the experimental conditions. However, the deterioration can be mitigated to some extent by increasing the operating temperature, steam-to-carbon ratio, or current density. Anode deterioration was also mitigated when hydrogen concentration in the fuel gas was nearly identical to that of wood gas. The influence of hydrogen concentration in the fuel gas on deterioration may be substantial. The loss of elemental nickel could not be detected instantaneously by electrochemical diagnosis.
