Reuse of Spent FCC Catalyst for Removing Trace Olefins from Aromatics

Pretreatment of spent FCC catalyst and its application in remove trace olefins in aromatics were investigated in this research. The most effective pretreatment route of spent FCC catalyst was calcining at 700 oC for 1 h, washing with 5% oxalic acid solution in ultrasonic reactor and dried. Treated spent FCC catalyst was modified with metal halides, then to prepare catalyst to remove trace olefins in aromatics. X-ray diffraction, Pyridine- FTIR, N2 adsorption-desorption and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer (ICP-OES) were used to investigate the pretreatment process. The result showed that the performance of the treated spent FCC catalyst was much greater than that of the spent FCC catalyst, which indicted the possibility and improvement of this research.

Adsorption thermodynamic and kinetic studies of C. I. disperse dye 60 on PBO fiber pretreated with polyphosphoric acid (PPA) were carried out under the conditions of pH 6.0±0.2, initial dye concentration 0.05-1.0 g/L and liquor ratio 2,000 : 1. The results showed that the equilibrium adsorption isotherm of the disperse dye on the pretreated PBO fiber was a Langmuir-Nernst mixed Model and the saturated adsorption capacity of the turning point was 1.046mg/g. The thermodynamic parameters were calculated by the equilibrium adsorption isotherm, such as standard affinity,enthalpy change and entropy change, which indicated that the adsorption of disperse dye on the pretreated PBO fiber was an exothermic process. Based on the thermodynamic and kinetic data, the adsorption of the dye on the pretreated PBO fiber was a kinetics controlled process, and the disperse dye could only diffuse into the surface layer of pretreated PBO fiber. Meanwhile, the adsorption kinetics of disperse dye on pretreated PBO fiber well agreed with a pseudofirst-order kinetic model.

Hierarchical layer-by-layer quadrangle CeO2 was prepared through ultrasonic-assisted solution-phase synthesis strategy using cerium oxalate as the precursor. The as-prepared mesoporous CeO2 displayed a surface area of 98.7 m2 g−1 and pore diameters of 2.0–10.0 nm. The high-resolution TEM image revealed that the layer structures of the CeO2 were made of numerous nanocrystal particles with the crystallite size of about 13–15 nm. High energy and cavitation of ultrasonic wave assists cerium oxalate precursor in building the layer-by-layer quadrangle staking. UV–vis absorption spectrum showed that the direct allowed transition bandgap energy for the as-prepared CeO2 was 2.91 eV. Moreover, the CeO2 exhibited good photocatalytic property for degrading Rhodamine B solution under UV radiation.
Study of alkylation on a Lewis and Brønsted acid hybrid catalyst and its industrial test

A novel catalyst ZnBr2 modified bentonite is prepared. Pyridine adsorbed FTIR spectra demonstrated the amount of Brønsted and Lewis acid was improved to 2 and 5 times, respectively. Thermal analysis indicated the thermal stability of ZnBr2-bentonite could reach 350 ℃. Mechanism research led to an interesting hypothesis that in the former stage, the active position is Brønsted acid sites and in the later stage, both Lewis acid and Brønsted acid sites act as active positions. Industrial test showed the ability of ZnBr2-bentonite to remove olefins is 17 times higher than that of bentonite, and the industrial application prospect is good.
Chemical Constituents from the Aerial Parts of Isodon coetsa and their Cytotoxicity

Three new compounds (1-3), including a neolignan, a triterpenoid, and a diterpenoid, together with twenty known compounds (4-23), were isolated from the aerial parts of Isodon coetsa. Their structures and relative configurations were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data. Compounds 1, 3, 5-9, 11-13, 16-17, and 19-23 were evaluated for their cytotoxicity against HT-29, BEL-7402, and SK-OV-3 human tumor cell lines. Compound 7 showed significant inhibitory effects on all three types of cells, with IC50 values of 2.52, 3.06, 2.14 μM, respectively.
Transformer fault acoustic identification model based on acoustic denoising and DBO-SVM

In order to address the impact of ambient noise on the acquisition of the transformer body acoustic pattern and completely extract the information contained in the transformer acoustic pattern, This study suggests a transformer core loosening identifi cation technique based on the integration of wavelet threshold denoising and VMD with Identifi cation of transformer core loosening using DBO (Dung Beetle Optimization Algorithm)-optimized SVMs (Support Vector Machine) and the diff erence between the kurtosis value and the mixed acoustic signal is used to get the de-noised signal with a high signal-to-noise ratio. After that, the signal is fed into an optimized support vector machine for training in order to produce the core loosening identifi cation model. By means of the no-load tests conducted on a 500 V transformer and the examination of the acoustic signals gathered with varying levels of core looseness, the fi ndings demonstrate that the transformer core looseness identifi - cation model with the denoised MFCC feature parameters and the dung-beetle algorithm optimized support vector machine in this work achieves an accuracy of 96.25%, hence improving the core looseness fault identifi cation rate.
ent-Abietane Diterpenoids from Isodon xerophilus

Three new ent-abietanoids, named xerophilusins XIV–XVI, and four known analogues, as well as four known chemical constituents were isolated from the leaves of Isodon xerophilus. Their structures were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic studies, and comparison with literature data. In addition, the cytotoxic activity of the ent-abietanoids against chronic myelogenous leukemia (K562), stomach adenocarcinoma (MKN45), and hepatocellular carcinoma (HepG2) human cell lines was investigated and no activities were observed.

Background Observational studies have shown that the age of menarche is associated with sarcopenia, but confounding factors make the causal relationship difficult to infer. Objective Therefore, we conducted a bidirectional two-sample Mendelian randomized (MR) analysis to evaluate the potential causal relationship between age at menarche and sarcopenia-related traits (hand grip strength, lean mass, walking pace). Methods We obtained the latest aggregate statistics from the Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) database on the age of menarche of 182,416 participants from ReproGen, the appendicular lean mass of 244,730 participants from EMBL’s European Bioinformatics Institute, the left-hand grip strength of 401,026 participants, the right-hand grip strength of 461,089 participants and the usual walking pace of 459,915 participants from the UK Biobank. The inverse variance weighting (IVW) method and other MR methods were used to evaluate the bidirectional causal relationship between the age of menarche and sarcopenia. Results The forward MR results showed that the age of menarche predicted by the gene was positively correlated with left-hand grip strength (IVWβ=0.041, P = 2.00 × 10−10), right-hand grip strength (IVWβ=0.053, P = 1.97 × 10−18), appendicular lean mass (IVWβ=0.012, P = 4.38 × 10−13) and usual walking pace (IVWβ=0.033, P = 1.62 × 10−8).In the reverse MR analysis, we also found that the usual walking pace was positively correlated with the age of menarche predicted by genes (IVWβ=0.532, P = 1.65 × 10−4). Still, there was no causal relationship between grip strength and appendicular lean mass and the age at menarche. Conclusion Our results show that earlier menarche will increase the risk of sarcopenia. In addition, people with higher muscle function tend to have menarche later. These findings may provide a reference for prevention strategies and interventions for menarche in advance and sarcopenia.
