Dependence assessment in human reliability analysis under uncertain and dynamic situations

        Xianghao Gao,Xiaoyan Su,Hong Qian,Xiaolei Pan 한국원자력학회 2022 Nuclear Engineering and Technology Vol.54 No.3

Since reliability and security of man-machine system increasingly depend on reliability of human, humanreliability analysis (HRA) has attracted a lot of attention in many fields especially in nuclear engineering. Dependence assessment among human tasks is a important part in HRA which contributes to anappropriate evaluation result. Most of methods in HRA are based on experts’ opinions which are subjectiveand uncertain. Also, the dependence influencing factors are usually considered to be constant, which is unrealistic. In this paper, a new model based on DempstereShafer evidence theory (DSET) andfuzzy number is proposed to handle the dependence between two tasks in HRA under uncertain anddynamic situations. First, the dependence influencing factors are identified and the judgments on thefactors are represented as basic belief assignments (BBAs). Second, the BBAs of the factors that varyingwith time are reconstructed based on the correction BBA derived from time value. Then, BBAs of allfactors are combined to gain the fused BBA. Finally, conditional human error probability (CHEP) isderived based on the fused BBA. The proposed method can deal with uncertainties in the judgments anddynamics of the dependence influencing factors. A case study is illustrated to show the effectiveness andthe flexibility of the proposed method.

Resource Allocation in Multi-User MIMO-OFDM Systems with Double-objective Optimization

( Chen Yuqing ),( Li Xiaoyan ),( Sun Xixia ),( Pan Su ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2018 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.12 No.5

A resource allocation algorithm is proposed in this paper to simultaneously minimize the total system power consumption and maximize the system throughput for the downlink of multi-user multiple input multiple output-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) systems. With the Lagrange dual decomposition method, we transform the original problem to its convex dual problem and prove that the duality gap between the two problems is zero, which means the optimal solution of the original problem can be obtained by solving its dual problem. Then, we use convex optimization method to solve the dual problem and utilize bisection method to obtain the optimal dual variable. The numerical results show that the proposed algorithm is superior to traditional single-objective optimization method in both the system throughput and the system energy consumption.

Characterization of Carbapenemase Genes in Enterobacteriaceae Species Exhibiting Decreased Susceptibility to Carbapenems in a University Hospital in Chongqing, China

        Yun Xia,Zhenzhen Liang,Xiaoyan Su,Ying Xiong 대한진단검사의학회 2012 Annals of Laboratory Medicine Vol.32 No.4

Background: Our study was to investigate the prevalence of carbapenemase genes in strains of Enterobacteriaceae species exhibiting decreased susceptibility to carbapenems in our hospital. Methods: The carbapenemase producing Enterobacteriaceae species were confirmed by modified Hodge test (MHT) and EDTA-disc synergy test which indicating the production of class B carbapenemases. PCR and sequencing analysis were used to identify the drugresistant genes. DNA fingerprinting based on enterobacterial repetitive intergenic consensus (ERIC)-PCR was applied to investigate the homology of Enterobacteriaceae species. Results: From a collection of 1,472 Enterobacteriaceae species, 18 isolates with decreased susceptibility to carbapenem treatment were identified and 9 of which were positive by MHT, and 6 of which produced class B carbapenemases. PCR and sequencing analysis of the 18 isolates revealed 4 different carbapenemase genes (blaIMP-8, blaoxa-1, blaIMP-26, and blaoxa-47) in 10 isolates, with the blaIMP-8 and blaoxa-1 genes being the most common (60-70% prevalence). ERIC-PCR showed 5, 2, and 2 unique genotypes for Enterobacter cloacae, Escherichia coli, and Klebsiella pneumoniae, respectively. Three E. coli strains isolated from different patients from the urologic surgery department exhibited the same DNA banding pattern, suggesting a possible clonal dissemination. Majority (17/18) of the carbapenem- unsusceptible Enterobacteriaceae species isolates was obtained from the surgery department of our hospital. Conclusions: The main carbapenemase genes of Enterobacteriaceae species in our hospital were blaIMP-8 and blaoxa-1. Prevalence of carbapenem resistance may be existed in surgery department and infection control should be taken for preventing further dissemination of drug-resistant strains. Nematicidal activity against Aphelenchoides besseyi and Ditylenchus destructor of three biflavonoids, isolated from roots of Stellera chamaejasme

        Hui Jin,Haiyan Cui,Xiaoyan Yang,Lihong Xu,Xudong Li,Rentao Liu,Zhiqiang Yan,Xiuzhuang Li,Weili Zheng,Yuhui Zhao,Xiaoxia Song,Lihua Zhong,Anxiang Su,Bo Qin 한국응용곤충학회 2018 Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology Vol.21 No.4

Aphelenchoides besseyi and Ditylenchus destructor can cause serious problems for a number of important agricultural crops and vegetables. In this study, the ethanol extract of Stellera chamaejasme L. roots showed strong nematicidal activity against Aphelenchoides besseyi and Ditylenchus destructor. By using a bioactivity-driven fractionation, three biflavonoids were isolated from the extract and their structures were identified by mass and nuclear magnetic resonance spectral data. Nematicidal activity bioassays revealed that isoneochamaejasmin A had the strongest nematicidal activity against A. besseyi and D. destructor with LC 50 values of 2.32 and 0.18 mM at 72 h, respectively. Chamaejasmenin B displayed weaker nematicidal activity against A. besseyi with an LC 50 value of 3.94 mM at 72 h. Neochamaejasmin B induced the lowest mortality against D. destructor with an LC 50 values of 15.6 mM at 72 h. These results suggested that the kind and position of substitutions and the relative configuration of 2-H/3-H and 2”-H/3”-H could be considered as important factors responsible for the nematicidal activity of these purified C-3/C-3″ biflavonoids.

Handling dependencies among performance shaping factors in SPAR-H through DEMATEL method

        Xu Zhihui,Shang Shuwen,Su Xiaoyan,Qian Hong,Pan Xiaolei 한국원자력학회 2023 Nuclear Engineering and Technology Vol.55 No.8

The Standardized Plant Analysis Risk-Human Reliability Analysis (SPAR-H) method is a widely used method in human reliability analysis (HRA). Performance shaping factors (PSFs) refer to the factors that may influence human performance and are used to adjust nominal human error probabilities (HEPs) in SPAR-H. However, the PSFs are assumed to be independent, which is unrealistic and can lead to unreasonable estimation of HEPs. In this paper, a new method is proposed to handle the dependencies among PSFs in SPAR-H to obtain more reasonable results. Firstly, the dependencies among PSFs are analyzed by using decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) method. Then, PSFs are assigned different weights according to their dependent relationships. Finally, multipliers of PSFs are modified based on the relative weights of PSFs. A case study is illustrated that the proposed method is effective in handling the dependent PSFs in SPAR-H, where the duplicate calculations of the dependent part can be reduced. The proposed method can deal with a more general situation that PSFs are dependent, and can provide more reasonable results.

      • Hyperspectral Image Unmixing for Classification and Recognition : An Overview

        Mingyu Nie,Zhi Liu,Hui Xu,Xiaoyan Xiao,Fangqi Su,Jun Chang,Xiaomei Li 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Signal Processing, Image Vol.8 No.12

The limited resolution of image sensors and the complex diversity of nature, cause mixed pixel problems in hyperspectral technology. Such problems are common, and increase the complexity of hyperspectral image processing. Hyperspectral unmixing is crucial for hyperspectral image classification and recognition. In unmixing, the image signatures are represented as a linear combination of the basic materials. Unmixing is the process of decomposing a mixed pixel into constituent materials, and calculating the corresponding fractional abundance. If pure materials (end members) are present in an image, unmixing can be divided into two steps, namely, end member extraction and abundance decomposition. On the other hand, if there is no pure material, researchers have devised and investigated unsupervised and semi-supervised spectral unmixing technology. This article presents an overview of the state-of-the-art methods of hyperspectral unmixing and their extensions.

Changes in 11β-Hydroxysteroid Dehydrogenase and Glucocorticoid Receptor Expression in Kawasaki Disease

        Juanli Wang,Nan Zhou,Shouzhen Wu,Xiaoyan Zhang,Decheng Su 대한심장학회 2017 Korean Circulation Journal Vol.47 No.3

Background and Objectives: This study aims to investigate the significance of changes in the expression 11β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (11β-HSD) and glucocorticoid receptor (GR) for the development of Kawasaki disease (KD). Subjects and Methods: Real-time polymerase chain reaction was performed to determine the mRNA expression levels of GR and 11β-HSD in peripheral blood monocytes, both in the acute phase of the disease and after treatment. Western blotting was performed to determine the protein expression levels of GR and 11β-HSD. Results: The expression levels of GRβ, GRβ, and 11β-HSD1 mRNA in the acute phase were significantly higher than levels at baseline (p<0.01) and after treatment (p<0.05). The 11β-HSD2 mRNA levels were lower in the acute phase than in the normal group (p<0.01), and they were significantly higher after treatment than before (p<0.01). Western blot results were consistent with the real-time PCR results. The coronary artery lesion group exhibited significantly different 11β-HSD2 expression levels from that of the group with normal coronary arteries (p<0.01). Conclusion: GR and 11β-HSD expression changes in the acute phase of KD are important factors for regulating inflammatory responses in KD.
