Comparison of Bypass Surgery with Drug-Eluting Stents in Diabetic Patients with Left Main Coronary Stenosis

        Xiaoxiao Zhao,Yujie Zhou,Hui Song,Like Guan,Guanbin Zheng,Zhehu Jin,Dongmei Shi,Yuzi Li,Yonghe Guo,Guo-Ping Shi,Xian Wu Cheng 연세대학교의과대학 2011 Yonsei medical journal Vol.52 No.6

Purpose: Several studies have compared the effects of coronary stenting and coronary-artery bypass grafting (CABG) on left main coronary artery (LMCA) disease. However, there are limited data on the long-term outcomes of these two interventions in diabetic patients. Materials and Methods: We evaluated 56 patients with LMCA stenosis who underwent drug-eluting stent (DES) implantation and 116 patients who underwent CABG in a single hospital in China between January 2004 and December 2006. We compared long-term major adverse cardiac events (death; a “serious outcome” composite of death, myocardial infarction, or stroke; and target-vessel revascularization). Results: In-hospital (30-day) mortality was 0% for the DES group and 3.4% for the CABG group (p=0.31). There was no difference between the two groups in terms of risk of death [hazard ratio for stenting group, 0.49; 95% confidence interval (CI), 0.13-1.63; p=0.55] or risk of serious outcome (hazard ratio for DES group, 1.11; 95% CI, 0.39-1.45; p=0.47). The target-vessel revascularization rate was higher in the DES group than in the CABG group (hazard ratio, 3.67; 95% CI, 1.24-11.06; p=0.018). Conclusion: In this cohort of diabetic patients with LMCA stenosis, there was no difference in composite endpoints between patients receiving DESs and those undergoing CABG. However, stenting was associated with higher rates of target-vessel revascularization than CABG. DES implantation in diabetic patients with LMCA disease was found to be at least as safe as CABG.

The effects of MCM-41’s calcination temperature on the structure and hydrodenitrogenation over NiW catalysts

        Fang Guo,Zegang Qiu,Liangfu Zhao,Shaoqing Guo,Xian-Xian Wei,Xiaoxiao Wang,Hongwei Xiang 한국화학공학회 2014 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.31 No.11

MCM-41 was calcined at 500, 560, 600 or 650 oC. It was used as support for NiW catalysts of hydrodenitro-genation (HDN) for quinoline in order to investigate the influences of the MCM-41’s calcination temperature on thestructure and the HDN performance of NiW catalysts. The NiW catalysts were characterized by XRD, N2 adsorption-desorption, XPS, Raman, HRTEM and Py-IR techniques. The results showed that the surface area (SBET), the averagepore diameter (Dp) and the pore volume (Vp) of the MCM-41 increased with increase of the MCM-41’s calcinationtemperature. The high SBET , Dp and Vp were beneficial for the high dispersion of W species, the formation of appropriatenature of W species and acid sites on the catalysts. The HDN activity followed the order of NiW-650≈NiW-600>NiW-560>NiW-500, while the relative selectivity of HDN pathways was similar for all the catalysts.

The catalytic performance of methylation of naphthalene with methanol over SAPO-11 zeolites synthesized with different Si content

        Shaoqing Guo,Liangfu Zhao,Xiaoxiao Wang,Fang Guo,Xianxian Wei,Zhenmin Liu,Wei Zhang 한국화학공학회 2016 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.33 No.7

A series of SAPO-11 zeolites with different Si contents were prepared by hydrothermally synthesized method. They were characterized by ICP, XRD, SEM, FT-IR, N2 adsorption-desorption, NH3-TPD and 29Si MAS NMR, and evaluated by the methylation of naphthalene with methanol to 2,6-dimethylnaphthalene (2,6-DMN). According to XRD and SEM results, the crystallinity of SAPO-11 sample increased with increase of the Si content until the SiO2/Al2O3 ratio was up to 0.2. However, a reduction in the crystallinity was observed with further increase of the Si content of the synthesis. N2 adsorption-desorption results showed that all the samples possessed micropores and secondary mesopores. SAPO-11 sample with SiO2/Al2O3 ratio of 0.2 exhibited the largest secondary mesopores size distributions. NH3-TPD and 29Si MAS NMR showed that the Si content was incorporated into the framework affecting not only the acid sites but also the acid strength of SAPO-11. SAPO-11 with SiO2/Al2O3 ratio of 0.2 presented the high catalytic performances for the methylation of naphthalene, which was mainly attributed to the amount of secondary mesopores in the SAPO-11 zeolite.

Synthesis of Hβ (core)/SAPO-11 (shell) Composite Molecular Sieve and its Catalytic Performances in the Methylation of Naphthalene with Methanol

Xiaoxiao Wang,Shaoqing Guo,Liangfu Zhao 대한화학회 2013 Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society Vol.34 No.12

Hβ (core)/SAPO-11 (shell) composite molecular sieve was synthesized by the hydrothermal method in order to combine the advantages of Hβ and SAPO-11 for the methylation of naphthalene with methanol. For comparison, the mechanical mixture was prepared through the blending of Hβ and SAPO-11. The physicochemical properties of Hβ, SAPO-11, the composite and the mechanical mixture were characterized by various characterization methods. The characterization results indicated that Hβ/SAPO-11 composite molecular sieve exhibited a core-shell structure, with the Hβ phase as the core and the SAPO-11 phase as the shell. The pore diameter of the composite was between that of Hβ and SAPO-11. The composite had fewer acid sites than Hβ and mechanical mixture while more acid sites than SAPO-11. The experimental results indicated that the composite exhibited high catalytic performances for the methylation of naphthalene with methanol.

Adaptive Decentralized Event-triggered Tracking Control for Large-scale Strongly Interconnected Nonlinear System with Global Performance

        Wenjing Yang,Jianwei Xia,Xiaoxiao Guo,Miao Yu,Na Zhang 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2023 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.21 No.5

In this paper, an adaptive decentralized event-triggered global performance control of a class of largescale strongly interconnected nonlinear systems with external disturbances is investigated. Firstly, the original performance constrained large-scale nonlinear system is transformed into an equivalent unconstrained nonlinear largescale system by barrier function transformation. Secondly, the additional assumptions of interconnect terms such as upper bound function and matching conditions are eliminated by using the inherent properties of Gaussian function. In addition, an event-triggered mechanism is designed to reduce unnecessary transfers between the controller and the actuator for better resource efficiency. It is shown that the proposed control schemes guarantee that all signals of the closed-loop system are bounded, and the output tracking error is always kept within the given boundary. Finally, a numerical system and a mass-spring damping system are taken as examples to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control method.

Exosomes Derived from Human Amniotic Mesenchymal Stem Cells Facilitate Diabetic Wound Healing by Angiogenesis and Enrich Multiple lncRNAs

        Fu Shangfeng,Zhang Hongyan,Li Xiancai,Zhang Qiling,Guo Chunyan,Qiu Keqing,Feng Junyun,Liu Xiaoxiao,Liu Dewu 한국조직공학과 재생의학회 2023 조직공학과 재생의학 Vol.20 No.2

BACKGROUND: Diabetic wound healing remains a major challenge due to the impaired functionality of angiogenesis by persistent hyperglycemia. Mesenchymal stem cell exosomes are appropriate candidates for regulating the formation of angiogenesis in tissue repair and regeneration. Here, we explored the effects of exosomes derived from human amniotic mesenchymal stem cell (hAMSC-Exos) on the biological activities of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) treated with high glucose and on diabetic wound healing and investigate lncRNAs related to angiogenesis in hAMSC-Exos. METHODS: hAMSCs and hAMSC-Exos were isolated and identified by flow cytometry or western blot. A series of functional assays such as cell counting kit-8, scratching, transwell and tube formation assays were performed to evaluate the potential effect of hAMSC-Exos on high glucose-treated HUVECs. The effect of hAMSC-Exos on diabetic wound healing were tested by measuring wound closure rates and immunohistochemical staining of CD31. Subsequently, the lncRNAs profiles in hAMSC-Exos and hAMSCs were examined to screen the lncRNAs related to angiogenesis. RESULTS: The isolated hAMSC-Exos had a size range of 30–150 nm and were positive for CD9, CD63 and CD81. The hAMSC-Exos facilitate the functional properties of high glucose-treated HUVECs including the proliferation, migration and the angiogenic activities as well as wound closure and angiogenesis in diabetic wound. hAMSC-Exos were enriched lncRNAs that related to angiogenesis, including PANTR1, H19, OIP5-AS1 and NR2F1-AS1. CONCLUSION: Our findings demonstrated hAMSC-Exos facilitate diabetic wound healing by angiogenesis and contain several exosomal lncRNAs related to angiogenesis, which may represent a promising strategy for diabetic wound healing.

In Vitro and In Vivo Immunomodulatory Activity of Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus L.) Polysaccharides

        Huricha Chen,Hanwei Jiao,Ying Cheng,Kailian Xu,Xiaoxiao Jia,Qiaoyun Shi,Shiyu Guo,Manchuriga Wang,Li Du,Fengyang Wang 한국식품영양과학회 2016 Journal of medicinal food Vol.19 No.3

Crude okra (Abelmoschus esculentus L.) polysaccharide (RPS) was obtained by water extraction and alcohol precipitation. Three purified fractions of RPS, designated RPS-1, RPS-2, and RPS-3, were fractioned by diethylaminoethyl (DEAE)-cellulose chromatography. Their molecular weights, monosaccharide compositions, infrared (Fourier transform infrared [FT-IR]) spectra, and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra were analyzed. Their immunomodulatory activity was evaluated with an in vitro cell model (RAW264.7 cells). In vivo immunomodulatory activity of RPS-2 was evaluated in normal and cyclophosphamide-induced immunosuppressed mice. The results showed that the molecular weights of RPS-1, RPS-2, and RPS-3 were 600, 990, and 1300 kDa, respectively. RPS-1 and RPS-2 were mainly composed of galactose, rhamnose, galacturonic acid, and glucuronic acid, while RPS-3 was mainly composed of galactose, rhamnose, galacturonic acid, glucuronic acid, and glucose. FT-IR and NMR spectrum data indicated a rhamnogalacturonan I characteristic of polysaccharide. Both RPS and its purified fractions RPS-1, RPS-2, and RPS-3 significantly increased RAW264.7 cell proliferation, nitric oxide (NO) production, inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) expression, and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, interferon (IFN)-γ, and interleukin (IL)-10 secretion (P < .05). The purified fraction RPS-2 also increased the spleen index, splenocyte proliferation, and cytokine secretion in vivo. These results indicate that okra polysaccharides may potentially serve as novel immunomodulators.

Dynamic Event-triggered Adaptive Control for Uncertain Nonlinear Switched Systems Based on MDADT Method

        Xueliang Wang,Jianwei Xia,Na Zhang,Miao Yu,Xiaoxiao Guo 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2023 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.21 No.1

This article deals with the dynamic event-triggered tracking control problem for nonlinear switched systems with uncertain nonlinearities. By combining neural network control technology, mode-dependent average dwell time (MDADT) switching rule and dynamic event-triggered strategy, a valid adaptive control scheme is established, which guarantees the boundedness of all signals in the resulting closed-loop system and the tracking error eventually converges to a small neighborhood of the origin under a class of switching signals with MDADT property. Unlike the existing tracking control schemes, the proposed dynamic event-triggered strategy reduce some unnecessary transmissions from controller to actuator and thus saving network resources better. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed control design is verified by a numerical simulation.
