      • Study on Fuzzy Catastrophe Risk Model Based on Fuzzy Theory

        In this paper, we analyzed the essential meaning of the catastrophe risk on the basis of many results that is the bottleneck of the catastrophe risk analysis is complex. One way to resolve or alleviate this problem is to analyze the risk from the viewpoint of fuzzy logic-fuzzy catastrophic risk (FCR) analysis. We propose the concept of synthetic effect, present its axiomatic foundation, and further establish a FCR model based on synthetic effect as well as the general solution model. Finally, we specify the model by considering catastrophe risk in Shanghai. The results indicate that the method is not only accommodates the existing fuzzy decision-making methods, but also successfully incorporates the decision preference into the optimization process. Therefore, the FCR model can be widely used in many fields such as complex systems optimization and decision-making.

      • False Information Diffusion in Public Crisis on Interpersonal Network and Intervention Strategies

        With the development of economy, the public crisis has been increasing frequently and false information took shape because of the public’s assentation and lack of recognition. The diffusion of false information has intensified the public panic and anxiety. Beside, it may cause secondary damage easily. Therefore, the management department of false information in public crisis information should control the diffusion of the false information quickly in order to reduce the loss. By the diffusion of the network of false information in public crisis based on the scale-free network (BA), this paper defines the nature of each social individual from the perspective of multi-agent. On the basis of these properties, this paper defines the individual opinion interaction rules when communicating. The research concludes that active individuals of information diffusion on interpersonal network are not the people with a great amount of friends, but the ones who have few friends. Nevertheless, the management department of false information in public crisis should maintain a circuitous neutral attitude rather than the “all-or nothing” coercive measures when intervene the diffusion process of the false information diffusion. Besides, the influencing social individuals are the “opinion leaders” who have a wide range of interpersonal communication.

        Georgenia faecalis sp. nov. isolated from the faeces of Tibetan antelope

        Two aerobic, Gram-stain-positive, non-motile, non-sporulating coccoid strains, designated ZLJ0423T and ZLJ0321, were isolated from the faeces of Tibetan antelope (Pantholops hodgsonii). Their optimal temperature, NaCl concentration and pH for growth were 28°C, 0.5% (w/v) NaCl and pH 7.5, respectively. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that strains ZLJ0423T and ZLJ0321 were very similar to each other (99.8%) and had a sequence similarity of 97.0% with Georgenia satyanarayanai NBRC 107612T and Georgenia subflava CGMCC 1.12782T. Phylogenomic analysis based on 688 core genes indicated that these strains formed a clade with G. satyanarayanai NBRC 107612T and Georgenia wutianyii Z294T. The predominant cellular fatty acids were anteiso-C15:0, anteiso-C15:1 A and C16:0. The major menaquinone was MK-8(H4). The cell-wall amino acids consisted of alanine, lysine, glycine and aspartic acid, with lysine as the diagnostic diamino acid. Diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylinositol, phosphatidylinositol mannosides and two unidentified lipids formed the polar lipid profile. The DNA G + C content of both isolates was 73.9 mol%. The digital DNA–DNA hybridization value between strains ZLJ0423T and ZLJ0321 was 91.2%, but their values with closely related species and other available type strains of the genus Georgenia were lower than the 70% threshold. On the basis of polyphasic taxonomic data, strains ZLJ0423T and ZLJ0321 represent a novel species within the genus Georgenia, for which the name Georgenia faecalis sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is ZLJ0423T (= CGMCC 1.13681T = JCM 33470T).

        Double-layered core–shell structure of NaYF4:Yb,Er@SiO2@Zn1 − xMnxO for near-infrared-triggered photodegradation and antibacterial application

        A novel NIR-responsive photocatalyst NaYF4:Yb,Er@SiO2@Zn1 − xMnxO with double-layered core–shell structure was prepared by a three-step reaction. NaYF4:Yb,Er serves as a NIR-to-visible upconverter and provides “visible light” or “necessary energy” to Zn1 − xMnxO. Meanwhile, Mn2+-doping in Zn1 − xMnxO can extend the photoresponse of ZnO to visible-light region and enhance its charge separation. The nanocomposite exhibits good activity for dye decomposition and antibacterial property under NIR irradiation. The “energy absorption – energy conversion – energy transfer – surface reaction” process dominates the overall photocatalytic activity. Based on the standard MTT (abbr. for 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide) assay, NaYF4:Yb,Er@SiO2@Zn1 − xMnxO also exhibits good biocompatibility and low cytotoxicity with human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) as model cells.

        Dimer-type heterostructure of Ag/Zn0.995Ni0.005O microspheres: Microwave-assisted synthesis and synergistic antibacterial activity

        The dimer-type heterostructured Ag/Zn0.995Ni0.005O microspheres were prepared via two-stepmicrowave-assisted process, which exhibited stronger visible-light-activated antibacterial performancethan visible-light only, ZnO/Vis, Zn0.995Ni0.005O/Vis, or AgNPs/Vis. It is attributed to not only theinteraction of released metal ions with functional groups of vital enzymes and proteins, but also thecollapsing force of reactive oxygen species to the cells. Photoelectrochemical measurements show thatthe photogenerated charges of Ag/Zn0.995Ni0.005O possess longer lifetime and higher separation resultingfrom the synergistic effect between Ni and Ag, which leads to its superior visible-light-drivenantibacterial performance. Gram-negative bacteria are more effectively restrained by Ag/Zn0.995Ni0.005Othan Gram-positive bacteria because of structural difference between their cell walls.

        TFPI inhibits breast cancer progression by suppressing ERK/p38 MAPK signaling pathway

        Background: Tissue factor pathway inhibitor-1 (TFPI) is a serine protease inhibitor, which is responsible for inactivating TF-induced coagulation. Recently, increasing studies revealed that TFPI was lowly expressed in tumor cells and exhibited the antitumor activity. Objective: The aim of this study was to explore the role and underlying molecular mechanisms of TFPI in breast cancer. Methods: The expression and prognostic value of TFPI were analyzed using UALCAN and Kaplan-Meier plotter website. The expression level of TFPI in breast cancer tissues and cells was examined by immunohistochemistry (IHC) and western blot analysis, respectively. Cellular proliferation was evaluated by CCK-8 and colony formation assays. Cell migration and invasion were determined by transwell assay. The methylation level of TFPI promoter was determined by methylation-specific PCR. Results: TFPI expression was significantly lower in breast cancer tissues and cells compared to normal breast tissues and normal breast cells. Patients with low TFPI levels showed worse overall survival (OS). Furthermore, overexpression of TFPI significantly inhibited the proliferation, migration and invasion of breast cancer cells. Conversely, knockdown of TFPI promoted the proliferation, migration and invasion of breast cancer cells. Mechanistically, TFPI inhibited the ERK/p38 MAPK signaling pathway in breast cancer. Moreover, DNA hypermethylation of TFPI promoter was responsible for the downregulation of TFPI in breast cancer cells. Conclusion: TFPI inhibited breast cancer cell proliferation, migration and invasion through inhibition of the ERK/p38 MAPK signaling pathway, suggesting that TFPI may serve as a novel prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target for breast cancer.
