Some researchers pointed out that the nonlocal cantilever models do not predict the dynamic softening behavior for nanostructures (including nanobeams) with clamped-free (CF) ends. In contrast, some indicate that the nonlocal cantilever models can capture the stiffness softening characteristics. There are substantial differences on this issue between them. The vibration analysis of porosity-dependent functionally graded nanoscale tubes with variable boundary conditions is investigated in this study. Using a modified power-law model, the tube's porosity-dependent material coefficients are graded in the radial direction. The theory of nonlocal strain gradients is used. Hamilton's principle is used to derive the size-dependent governing equations for simply-supported (S), clamped (C) and clamped-simply supported (CS). Following the solution of these equations by the extended differential quadrature technique, the effect of various factors on vibration issues was investigated further. It can be shown that these factors have a considerable effect on the vibration characteristics. It also can be found that our numerical results can capture the unexpected softening phenomena for cantilever tubes.

The combined use of indium and polysorbate 20 (Tween 20) was considered as a new inhibition technique for zinc corrosion. Zn and Zn-In alloy coatings were prepared by electrodeposition and their morphology and composition were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES). The corrosion inhibition effect of indium and Tween 20 on zinc was investigated by polarization curves and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The corrosion inhibition efficiencies obtained from Tafel and EIS analyses are well in agreement. Zinc corrosion can be inhibited to some extent by the individual use of indium and Tween 20 and higher corrosion inhibition efficiency can be obtained by the combined use of indium and Tween 20.

This paper derives the analytical expression of the temporal autocorrelation function (ACF) of the non-stationary three dimensional (3D) multipath scattering channels, in which scatterers move with constant velocities in random directions around transceivers. The analytical expression involves high dimensional integration within finite interval, thus a methodology based on ray-tracing is proposed to carry out its numerical solution. The analytical expression and the corresponding ray-tracing based model serve as the canonical forms for the correlation analysis of non-stationary 3D multipath scattering channels, which include two special cases: two dimensional (2D) multipath scattering and stationary multipath scattering. Numerical results show that: in case of non-stationary 3D multipath scattering, with the increase of the velocity and the density of scatterers, the temporal ACF would attenuate more rapidly. These results would allow engineers more appropriate determination on coherence time and coherence bandwidth for vehicle-to-vehicle communication systems.

In pigs, complex molecular cross-talk between the mother and embryo(s) especially maternal immunotolerance at the maternal-fetal interface has been postulated to play important roles on embryo/fetal loss during the peri-implantation and midgestation. In this study, we collected the endometrium samples in implantation sites at gestational day 15 (gd15), 26 (gd26)) and 50 (gd50)from Meishan pigs to evaluate the contribution of the genes participating in immune response by using porcine Affymetrix GeneChip. The results showed that totally 68immune related genes showed significantly differential expression at three stages, and the expression of these genes underwent drastic changes during the peri-implantation period (between gd15 and gd26). The identified genes including IL6 proinflammatory cytokine family, inflammatory chemokines (CCL28), IGF/IGFBP system, growth factors (FGF7) and adhesion molecules (ITGB3,PCDH15) may prove valuable for further investigations of porcine prenatal mortality.

In the present research, for the first time, the vibrational as well as buckling characteristics of a three-layered curved nanobeam including a core made of functionally graded (FG) material and two layers of smart material-piezo-magneto-electric-resting on a Winkler Pasternak elastic foundation are examined. The displacement field for the nanobeam is chosen via Timoshenko beam theory. Also, the size dependency is taken into account by using nonlocal strain gradient theory, aka NSGT. Then, by employing Hamilton's principle, energy procedure, the governing equations together with the boundary conditions are achieved. The solution procedure is a numerical solution called generalized differential quadrature method, or GDQM. The accuracy and reliability of the formulation alongside solution method is examined by using other published articles. Lastly, the parameter which can alter and affect the buckling or vocational behavior of the curved nanobeam is investigated in details.

In this paper, a novel b-Oxo thioamide surfactant 3-(ethylamino)-N-phenyl-3-thioxopropanamide(EAPhTXPA) was synthesized andfirst used asflotation collector for galena and sphalerite. The results ofmicro-flotation tests showed that EAPhTXPA possessed not only stronger collecting ability but also betterselectivity to galena against sphalerite than traditional sulfide collector sodium isobutyl xanthate (SIBX). Adsorption tests indicated that EAPhTXPA could adsorb onto galena surfaces more easily than SIBX, whilethe adsorption affinity of EAPhTXPA to sphalerite was weaker than that of SIBX. The results of FTIR andXPS spectra demonstrated that there was no chemical bond or new chemical state appeared on sphaleritesurfaces after treatment by EAPhTXPA, while Pb-EAPhTXPA complexes were formed on galena surfacesby reaction of EAPhTXPA’sC(¼S) ,C(¼O)andNHgroups with surface Pb atoms to buildPb S, Pb O and Pb N bonds. DFT calculations further gave an evidence that the dominated interactionbetween sphalerite and EAPhTXPA was probably van der Walls forces, and EAPhTXPA reacted with galenaby the formation of Pb S, Pb O and Pb N bonds.

In this paper, the tracking control problem of flexible joint robotic manipulator (FJRM) system subjected to system uncertainties and time-varying external disturbances (TVED) is addressed. A new disturbance observerbased neural network integral sliding mode controller with output constraints (DNISMCOC) that comprises the merits of neural networks, disturbance observer and integral sliding mode is proposed. Considering that the radial basis function neural network (RBFNN) has a fast learning convergence speed and great approximation ability, two matrices of RBFNN are utilized to estimate the parameter matrices of the dynamic model of FJRM. In view of the estimation errors of RBFNNs and TVED in the system, a disturbance observer is introduced to estimate the lump uncertainties which consist of them. Integral sliding mode is introduced for eliminating steady errors further. For ensuring security in some high-accuracy using occasions, a barrier lyapunov functions (BLF) is adopted to achieve output constraints of FJRM. To validate the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme, numerical simulations on 2-link FJRM are conducted. According to the comparisons among DNISMCOC and other state-ofthe-art controllers, the superiorities of DNISMCOC in several aspects are proved.
