This study investigates how temperature profile changes with time during fluid circulation through the wellbore and annulus by using ANSYS Fluent, to help designing offshore cementing job in the petroleum industry. The use of two-dimensional nature of transient computational-fluid-dynamics (CFD) simulations shows that both flow rheology and fluid distribution in the well affect heat transfer calculations and such an effect is more pronounced at the bottom hole where the flow direction changes from downward to upward. When compared with one-dimensional (1D) simulation, multi-dimensional simulation results predict a longer time for heat transfer consistently, implying that simple 1D simulation techniques tend to under-predict the amount of time associated with cementing job. How fluid distribution within the well changes with time and how the resulting pressure and temperature calculations are affected at different times and locations are also visualized in this study.
수채화교육이 회복탄력성, 정서안정 및 자기표현에 미치는 영향: 중국 광서성 N대학생들을 대상으로

연구 목적: 본 연구는 중국 광서성 N대학생들을 대상으로 수채화교육이 회복탄력성, 정서안정 및 자기표현의 심리적 변수들에 미치는 영향을 탐색하기 위한 것이다. 연구 방법: 연구대상은 중국 광서성 N대학생들인 실험군 205명과 대조군 203명인 총 408명이었다. 자료의 통계처리는 SPSS 25 프로그램을 사용하였고, 평균값의 차이를 비교·분석하기 위해 t 검증 및 F 검증을 한다. 연구 내용: 대학생들의 수채화교육이 회복탄력성, 정성안정 및 자기표현의 향상에 영향을 주는지를 알아본다. 결론 및 제언: 대학생들이 수채화교육 후, 심리적 요소들에 긍정적인 영향을 주어, 회복탄력성, 정서안정 및 자기표현이 증가됨을 알 수 있었다. 추후연구에서는 수채화의 실습교육뿐만이 아니라 각종 악기연주의 교육을 통해서도 대학생들의 회복탄력성, 정서안정 및 자기표현의 변화를 살펴볼 필요가 있을 것이다. The purpose of this study is to explore the effects of watercolor education on psychological variables of resilience, emotional stability, and self-expression for N University students in Gwangxi Province, China. The subjects of the study were a total of 408 students, 205 in the experimental group and 203 in the control group, who were students of N University in Gwangxi Province. The SPSS 25 program is used for statistical processing of data. In order to compare the difference in the average value, t verification and F verification are performed. The content of this study is to find out whether watercolor education of university students affects the increase of resilience, emotional stability, and self-expression. As a conclusion, it is found that university students have a positive effect on psychological factors after watercolor education, thereby increasing resilience, emotional stability, and self-expression. In future studies, it will be necessary to examine changes in university students’ resilience, emotional stability, and self-expression through various instrumental performance education, as well as watercolor education.
MODIFIED CONVOLUTIONAL NEURAL NETWORK WITH TRANSFER LEARNING FOR SOLAR FLARE PREDICTION

We apply a modified Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model in conjunction with transfer learning to predict whether an active region (AR) would produce a ≥C-class or ≥M-class are within the next 24 hours. We collect line-of-sight magnetogram samples of ARs provided by the SHARP from May 2010 to September 2018, which is a new data product from the HMI onboard the SDO. Based on these AR samples, we adopt the approach of shuffle-and-split cross-validation (CV) to build a database that includes 10 separate data sets. Each of the 10 data sets is segregated by NOAA AR number into a training and a testing data set. After training, validating, and testing our model, we compare the results with previous studies using predictive performance metrics, with a focus on the true skill statistic (TSS). The main results from this study are summarized as follows. First, to the best of our knowledge, this is the first time that the CNN model with transfer learning is used in solar physics to make binary class predictions for both ≥C-class and ≥M-class ares, without manually engineered features extracted from the observational data. Second, our model achieves relatively high scores of TSS = 0.6400.075 and TSS = 0.5260.052 for ≥M-class prediction and ≥C-class prediction, respectively, which is comparable to that of previous models. Third, our model also obtains quite good scores in five other metrics for both ≥C-class and ≥M-class are prediction. Our results demonstrate that our modified CNN model with transfer learning is an effective method for are forecasting with reasonable prediction performance.

Cross-cultural adaptation is a social behavior that occurs when individuals enter a foreign cultural environment. Cross-cultural adapters learn the moral norms, language customs, and other aspects of the host culture, gradually adapting to and accepting it. They integrate their inherent beliefs, thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns with the host culture, forming a diverse multicultural background. Since humans have engaged in cross-geographical interactions, cross-cultural adaptation has existed worldwide. With the development of science and technology and the advent of global economic integration, the world has become a global village. Nowadays, more and more people travel far from their hometowns to study, work, and engage in activities in foreign countries. Cross-cultural encounters bring novelty, mystery, and a sense of pressure, as living in a different culture means making specific changes in lifestyle and thought patterns. This change can be stressful, and not everyone can overcome it to adapt to life in a foreign country successfully. Therefore, cross-cultural adaptation is one of the most essential areas in today’s cross-cultural education. This study explores the internal and external factors that affect the cross-cultural adaptation of international students in South Korea and proposes relevant strategies to improve their cross-cultural adaptation.
Decrease of Contact Resistance at the Interface of Carbon Nanotube/Electrode by Nanowelding

Reliable interconnection between carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and externalcircuit is one of the prerequisite in CNT electronics. In this work,ultrasonic nanowelding was used to bond CNTs with metal electrodes. Byexerting ultrasonic energy at the interface of CNT/electrode, a reliable jointwith negligible contact resistance was obtained between CNTs andelectrodes. The performance of welding is susceptible to the ultrasonicparameters such as ultrasonic power and clamping force, as well as themetal type. It is found that the metals with good ductility or low meltingpoint are easier to achieve effective joints. Moreover, interfacialcompounds are formed at the welded surface of metal Al and Fe, which isresulted from the interacting and chemical bonding of carbon and metalatoms. After nanowelding, the contact resistance between CNTs andelectrode is decreased dramatically, and the two-terminal resistance of thesample approximates to the intrinsic resistance of the CNT itself.
