High-Power 268-GHz Push-Push Transformer-Based Oscillator With Capacitive Degeneration

<P>A high-power push–push transformer-based oscillator (TBO) adopting a capacitive degeneration technique is proposed. The capacitive degeneration circuit reduces the effective parasitic capacitances of the transistor and enhances the negative conductance generated by the TBO. The proposed oscillator is fabricated with 65-nm CMOS technology. The measured output power of the proposed single core oscillator is −1.4 dBm at 268 GHz with 2.4% dc-to-RF efficiency. The proposed oscillator core is able to generate a high output power at a high operating frequency while maintaining good dc-to-RF efficiency.</P>
Analysis of Indonesian Cocoa Product Competitiveness in European Market

The European Union is one of the most important and strategic markets for Indonesian cocoa exports. However, a market share of Indonesian cocoa products in this market is far less than production capability. Although the Indonesian government have developed a policy to increase the exports of cocoa related products, it should find out which cocoa products have competitiveness in the European market to determine the direction of cocoa export policy. The main interest of this study is to determine how competitive is the cocoa product and its derivative from Indonesia in European market compare to other cocoa-producing countries. We use the trade value of each commodity (cocoa beans, cocoa paste, butter, and powder) from Ivory Coast, Ghana, Ecuador, Nigeria, and Indonesia from 2000 to 2018. Then we compared them using Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), Constant Market Share Analysis (CMSA), and Export Product Dynamics analysis (EPD). The result showed that from RCA analysis, cocoa products and its derivatives from Indonesia have a competitive advantage except for cocoa Beans. However, it is lagging far behind other cocoa-producing countries. Furthermore, Indonesian cocoa products and derivatives continue to experience declining competitiveness in the European market. Using the constant market share analysis, we reach a similar conclusion except during the period from 2010 to 2015. Furthermore, the results of calculations using EPD show that in general, cocoa and derivative products originating from Indonesia in the European Market are not able to take the region s market share.
A CFD Study on the Hydrodynamics Characteristics of Steam Ejectors

In this research, a study on the hydrodynamics characteristics of ejectors operated in Multi Effect Desalination was conducted by using Computational Fluid Dynamics. The objectives are to compare the performance and to study the flow phenomena inside of these ejectors. The study also focused on the influence of converging duct angle on the performance of constant-pressure mixing ejectors. The converging duct angle was varied at 0.5°, 1°, 2°, 3.5° and 4.5°. The results show the constant-pressure mixing ejector gives higher entrainment ratio than constant-area mixing ejector. The constant-pressure mixing ejector equipped with converging duct angle of 1° gives the highest entrainment ratio.
A CFD Analysis on the Gas-Liquid Ejector

An analysis on the gas-liquid ejector has been carried out using three-dimensional CFD modeling. The purpose of this paper is to study the influence of operating condition and ejector geometries on the hydrodynamics and on the mass transfer characteristic of ejector. The CFD results were validated with available experimental data. Flow field analyses and predictions of ejector performance were also carried out. Variation on the operating conditions was made by varying the gas-liquid flow rate ratio in the range of 0.2 to 1.2. The length to diameter ratio of mixing tube (LM/DM) also varied in the range of 4 to 10. CFD studies show that at LM/DM 5.5, the volumetric mass transfer coefficient increases with respect to gas flow rates. Meanwhile, at LM/DM 4, the plot of volumetric mass transfer coefficient to gas-liquid flow rates ratio reach maximum at gas-liquid flow rates ratio of 0.6. This study also shows that volumetric mass transfer coefficient decrease with respect to the increase of mixing tube length.

Indonesian art market : A study of indonesian contemporary art development

Indonesian contemporary art is growing and now being themost demanded art market after a period where Chinese art led the high prices of artworks in the global market. The rapid growth of Indonesian art is accelerated by various factors such as politic and economy situation. In this study, the Indonesian art scene will be identified to get a broader view of the development of the visual art in Indonesia. It will be identified in four periods of times which are the colonial era, Old Older of Sukarno (1945- 1966), New Order of Suharto (1966-1998) and the Reformation (1998–present). I will also discuss about the development of the visual art market in Indonesia, how the art market operates and influences the production of visual art in Indonesia, the validation of art and also the role of the Indonesian government, especially in the contemporary visual art. At the end, this study will discuss about the recent phenomenaof Indonesian contemporary art market in the international market and the prospect of the market.
