In this article, we define a (an amply) F<sub>δ</sub>-supplemented module in category of R-Mod. The general properties of F<sub>δ</sub>-supplemented modules are briefly discussed. Then, concentrating on the F<sub>δ</sub>-small submodule, we find the necessary and sufficient condition for F<sub>δ</sub>- supplemented modules. Also, we introduce ascending chain condition for F<sub>δ</sub>-small submodules of any module and establish a basic theorem for amply F<sub>δ</sub>-supplemented modules by using π-projectivity.
ON A GENERALIZATION OF ⊕-SUPPLEMENTED MODULES

We introduce FI-${\oplus}$-supplemented modules as a proper generalization of ${\oplus}$-supplemented modules. We prove that; (1) every finite direct sum of FI-${\oplus}$-supplemented R-modules is an FI-${\oplus}$-supplemented R-module for any ring R ; (2) if every left R-module is FI-${\oplus}$-supplemented over a semilocal ring R, then R is left perfect; (3) if M is a finitely generated torsion-free uniform R-module over a commutative integrally closed domain such that every direct summand of M is FI-${\oplus}$-supplemented, then M is a direct sum of cyclic modules.

Hemosiderin deposition is not often recognized on routine examination with hematoxylin and eosin staining; however, iron stains may be helpful in the evaluation of hemosiderin deposition in infant autopsies. This report describes the data obtained from autopsy of 86 infants and children whose deaths were investigated at the Forensic Medicine Council Bursa Morgue Department from January 2000 to January 2003. A histochemical technique was used to identify hemosiderin in lung, liver and spleen specimens, which was correlated with other descriptive variables such as the reported cause of death, postmortem interval, trauma history, gender, and age. There was a weakly positive but significant correlation between lung and liver hemosiderin scores (Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient, rho=0.348, p=0.001); i.e., given an increase in lung hemosiderin scores, an increase in liver hemosiderin scores was also observed. Similarly, a marked positive correlation between spleen and liver hemosiderin scores (Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient, rho=0.335, p=0.002) was observed. The probability of spleen hemosiderin-positive cases belonging to the age group under 6 months was found to be 4.3 times greater than those who were hemosiderin-negative (95% confidence interval, 1.6-11.8). After the major differential diagnoses were ruled out, this study demonstrated, that depending on the statistically assessed morphometric grounds, the presence of hemosiderin deposits in the liver and spleen were significantly higher in the age group under 6 months.

This research was conducted to determine effect of pumice aggregate ratio, cement dosage and slumps on freeze-thaw resistance, density, water absorption and elasticity of concrete. In the first batch, 300 kg/m3 cement dosage were kept constant and pumice ratios were changed as 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% of replacement for normal aggregate by volume for 3? cm, 5? cm and 7? cm slumps. Other batches were prepared with 200 kg/m3, 250 kg/m3, 350 kg/m3, 400 kg/m3 and 500 kg/m3 cement dosages and 25% pumice aggregate +75% normal aggregate at a constant slump. Test results showed that when pumice-aggregate ratio decreased the density and freeze-thaw resistance of concretes increased. With increasing of cement dosage in the mixtures, density of the concretes increased, however, freeze-thaw resistance of concretes decreased. Water absorption of the concrete decreased with increasing cement dosage but increased with the pumice ratio. Water absorption of the concrete also decreased after freeze-thaw cycles. Freeze-thaw resistance of concretes was decreased with increasing the slumps.

The effect of in-plane deformations on the nonlinear dynamic response of laminated plates

In this study, the effect of in-plane deformations on the dynamic behavior of laminated plates is investigated. For this purpose, the displacement-time and strain-time histories obtained from the large deflection analysis of laminated plates are compared for the cases with and without including in-plane deformations. For the first one, in-plane stiffness and inertia effects are considered when formulating the dynamic response of the laminated composite plate subjected to the blast loading. Then, the problem is solved without considering the in-plane deformations. The geometric nonlinearity effects are taken into account by using the von Karman large deflection theory of thin plates and transverse shear stresses are ignored for both cases. The equations of motion for the plate are derived by the use of the virtual work principle. Approximate solution functions are assumed for the space domain and substituted into the equations of motion. Then, the Galerkin method is used to obtain the nonlinear algebraic differential equations in the time domain. The effects of the magnitude of the blast load, the thickness of the plate and boundary conditions on the in-plane deformations are investigated.
ON A LIE RING OF GENERALIZED INNER DERIVATIONS

In this paper, we define a set including of all $f_a$ with $a{\in}R$ generalized derivations of R and is denoted by $f_R$. It is proved that (i) the mapping $g:L(R){\rightarrow}f_R$ given by g (a) = f-a for all $a{\in}R$ is a Lie epimorphism with kernel $N_{{\sigma},{\tau}}$ ; (ii) if R is a semiprime ring and ${\sigma}$ is an epimorphism of R, the mapping $h:f_R{\rightarrow}I(R)$ given by $h(f_a)=i_{{\sigma}(-a)}$ is a Lie epimorphism with kernel $l(f_R)$ ; (iii) if $f_R$ is a prime Lie ring and A, B are Lie ideals of R, then $[f_A,f_B]=(0)$ implies that either $f_A=(0)$ or $f_B=(0)$.

Purpose: To investigate clinicopathological features in patients with recurrent colorectal cancer within 1 year and more than 1 year after curative resection. Materials and Methods: We retrospectively evaluated 103 patients with disease recurrence before versus after 1 year of resection. Thirty-two patients (31%) were diagnosed with recurrence less than 1 year after curative resection for colorectal cancer (early recurrence) and 71 (69%) after more than 1 year (non-early recurrence). Results: The early recurrence group displayed a significantly lower overall survival rate for both colon cancer (p=0, 01) and rectal cancer (p<0.001). Inadequate lymph node dissection was a significant predictor for early relapse. There were no statistically significant differences in clinicopathological variables such as age, sex, primary tumor localization, stage, depth of invasion, lymphovascular invasion and perineural invasion between the early and non-early recurrence groups. However, a K-ras mutation subgroup was significantly associated with early recurrence (p<0.001). Conclusions: Poor survival is associated with early recurrence for patients undergoing resection for non-metastatic colorectal cancer, as well as K-ras mutation.
