본 논문에서 우리는 무선 ad-hoc 네트워크에서의 효율성과 공명성 문제[2]를 해결하기 위해 기존의 802.11 MAC에서 단순한 개선으로 효율적인 결과를 얻을 수 있는 새로운 방식을 제안한다. 우리의 제안된 방식은 흐름 개념을 기반으로 하고 있다. 릴레이를 해야 하는 프레임을 가지고 있는 노드들에게 다른 노드들 보다 높은 우선순위를 할당하여 빠른 중단간의 전달함으로써 높은 성능향상을 기대할 수 있다. 또한 패킷을 전달한 후 노드는 낮은 우선순위를 갖게 되고 다른 노드에게 양보를 하여 노드들이 서로간에 공평하게 대역폭을 받을 수 있게 한다. 기존의 방식에 비해 두 배 가량 향상된 전송량과 비교적 공평하게 할당된 대역폭을 보여주는 시뮬레이션의 결과는 우리의 주장을 뒷받침해준다.
A Multichannel TDMA MAC Protocol to Reduce End-to-End Delay in Wireless Mesh Networks

Supporting QoS over multihop wireless mesh networks is difficult because end-to-end delay increases quickly with the increasing number of hops. This paper introduces a novel multichannel time-division multiple-access media access control (McTMAC) protocol that can help to efficiently reduce delay over multihop networks. Performance evaluation results demonstrate that McTMAC outperforms existing alternative protocols. The max-delay can be reduced by as much as 60% by using McTMAC.
Measurement of Current Magnitude for Home Appliances using Smart E-Meter

본 논문은 Smart E-Meter를 이용해서 방안에 있는 가전제품의 전류 값을 관찰하고 측정하는 것이 가능한 데이터측정(DAQ) 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 DAQ 시스템은 Smart E-Meter 장치를 사용하고 소프트웨어는 LabVIEW의 VISA 함수를 사용해서 설계되었다. 그리고 제안된 시스템으로 각 전자제품의 전류 변화를 데이터 파일로 만들 수 있으며, 최신 전류 데이터에 창을 씌워 전류의 이동평균과 이동표준편차를 계산함으로써 현재 연결되어 있는 가전제품이 가동 시작, 정상 운용, 모드 변화 중 어느 단계인지를 판단하게 할 수 있다. 제안된 시스템은 Smart E-Meter 시제품을 이용해서 실현 가능성을 검증받는다. This paper proposes a data acquisition (DAQ) system to observe and monitor the magnitude value of current signal for in-home appliances in a room based on Smart E-Meter. The DAQ system included DAQ device with Smart E-Meter and DAQ software designed by LabVIEW with the VISA function. In addition, this analysis tool produces the current profile of each electric appliances. Based on the profile, the moving average and moving standard deviation values are utilized to evaluate the current magnitude by sliding a window for most recent data. Specifically, consideration of the difference in current magnitude allows to determine the status of the connected appliances which are starting-up, working or adjusting operation mode. The proposed approach is validated through operating experiment with the prototype of Smart E-Meter.

Today, the Internet has penetrated almost all the ins and outs of social life, has changed work, communications, social influence and the lifestyle of humankind. However, it is still short of flexibility, transparency etc., due to network address translator overuse, masschanges, uncomfortable protocols, and so on. Hence, more research is necessary into future telecommunications networks based on contemporary networks accompanied by new requisitions and new designs that are compatible with today’s and tomorrow’s demands. This paper researches a new vision of the telecommunication network of the future, its effects on human life and society, and the targets to achieve a new generation network (NwGN). In the paper, we also propose orientation towards an NwGN from the current networks, especially with Vietnam’s telecommunications networks.
The Effect of the Country of Origin on Brand Trust: A Case Study for COVID-19 Vaccines in Vietnam

Many factors influence brand trust, including manufacturer prestige, product value and quality, country of origin, media marketing, experience, and brand relationship. The purpose of this study is to assess the impact of the nation of origin on brand trust, using Vietnam as a case study for India’s COVID-19 vaccine. A total of 407 Vietnamese people aged 18 and up participated in the survey. The findings of the study show that the nation of origin has a significant impact on brand trust. Specifically, the perceived country image has a negative effect on brand trust, the other two components of the country of origin are perceived value and perceived quality of product have a positive impact on brand trust in India’s COVID-19 vaccine. Research results show that if the perceived country image of the country of production is perceived negatively, then there will be a negative impact on brand trust. According to research findings, people in Vietnam who are 30 years old or older, have steady occupations, know about India, have used Indian products in the past, and have strong brand trust in India’s COVID-19 vaccinations. India needs to boost its country’s image and develop communication to increase brand trust in Vietnam.
Desgin of Foveated Frequency Sensitivity

We develop the signal processing method for implementing the human perceptual variant on frequency and space. The human visual perceptual sensitivity varies as frequency components and the human perceivable resolution diminishes as the distances further from the eye-focused point. For realizing the frequency sensitivity, we developed the signal direction adaptive multiband energy scaling method to weight the frequency components. The low-pass filtering is designed on the developed energy scaling method for diminishing perceivable resolutions as the deviated distance from the eye-focused point. The developed method not only enhances the frequency components of image signals at the eye-focused region but also smoothes non-perceivable detailed image signals at non-focused regions. The proposed method is verified by the subjective and objective evaluations that it can improve human perceptual visual quality.

This work addresses a process parameter-based optimization of the electrical discharge drilling (EDD) of the hole to decrease the specific drilling energy (SDE), the dilation of the hole (DH), and the tapper ratio (TR). The input parameters are the applied current (AC), pulse on time (TON), pulse off time (TOFF), discharge voltage (VO), gap voltage adjustor (GAP), capacitance parallel connection (CAP), and servo sensitivity selection (SV). The adaptive neuro based-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS)-based models were proposed to render the relations between the process parameters and EDD performances. The weights between multi-responses are determined using the entropy method. The optimum factors were obtained by the neighborhood cultivation genetic algorithm (NCGA). The findings revealed that the proposed ANFIS models employing gaussmf membership function may help to minimize the predictive error. The optimal values of the AC, TON, TOFF, VO, GAP, CAP, and SV are 5 A, 60 μs, 50 μs, 60 V, 6, 7, and 7, respectively. The SDE, DH, and TR are reduced by 10.13%, 34.46%, and 11.63%, respectively, as compared to initial values. Moreover, a hybrid approach using the ANFIS model, entropy method, and NCGA is a prominent technique for modeling and optimizing different EDD processes.
Method for Local Contrast Control in DCT Domain

We implement the foveation and frequency sensitivity feature of human visual system in discrete cosine transform (DCT) domain. Resolution of human visual perception decays as distance from the eye-focused point, known as foveation property, and the middle frequency components give most pleasant image quality to human than the low and high frequency components, which is the frequency sensitivity property of human visual system. For satisfying the foveation property, we enhanced the local contrast at the focused regions and smoothed local contrast at the non-focused regions in the DCT domain without bringing the blocking and ringing artifacts. Moreover, the energies at each DCT frequency components is modified with various degree to fulfill the frequency sensitivity property. The proposed method is verified by the subjective and objective evaluations that it can the improve the human perceptual visual quality.
