The structural dynamics of a robot manipulator can have a large influence on its overall dynamic behavior. They can cause unwanted resonances, limit the control bandwidth and lead to instability. For this reason, a significant amount of research has focused on the development of advanced control methods which consider the structural dynamics of a robot. These techniques are, however, still rarely employed in practice due to their complex nature and reliance on accurate models. A popular decentralized control scheme for robot joints is cascaded position, velocity and current control of the motor. The goal of this paper is to visualize the influence of the structural dynamics of a flexible beam and flexible harmonic drive gear on this type of joint controller. The derived effects are explained by mainly relying on simulated and measured transfer functions, without the use of the typical equations. The difference between closing the control loop with position feedback from the motor side or on the joint side after the flexible gear is also investigated. The results are first generated using a flexible multibody simulation and later verified on a robot joint test rig.
A Stable Peninsula in an Unstable World: How Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine Increases Korean Security

This article examines how Russia’s invasion of Ukraine impacts peace and security on the Korean Peninsula. Drawing on some neorealist theories of international relations, the article argues that Russia’s war in Ukraine has reduced the likelihood of military conflict between North and South Korea. This is because Russian aggression has rapidly accelerated a division between two security blocs in East Asia, one comprising South Korea, the United States, and Japan, and one comprising North Korea, Russia, and China, and this division contributes to regional stability in two ways. First, an unambiguous division of East Asia creates a bipolar region, and a balance of power between the two blocs can be maintained. 이 논문은 스웨덴 사회에 비쳐진 1945년 이전의 Korea상(像)을 분석 기술한 것이다. 즉 1884-1933년까지 출판된 스웨덴 백과사전 2권과, 1904년부터 1933년 사이에 7차례에 걸쳐 Korea를 방문했던 스웨덴인들의 여행기를 토대로 분석한 것이다. 이와 더불어 일본이 Korea에 대한 식민통치를 시작한 이론적 배경을 조명함으로써 오늘날 스웨덴인들이 Korea와 그 나라 국민들에 대한 인식의 배경을 이해하는데 도움을 주고자 하는 것이 이 논문의 목적이다.
The Reception and Consumption of Hallyu in Sweden: Preliminary Findings and Reflections

The winds of hallyu, which for several years have swept through most of Asia and parts of South America and Africa, have not yet been able to penetrate the part of the world that is usually known as the West. The reasons for the relatively meagre breakthrough and presence of all things hallyu in Western countries are of course many and complex as well as differentiating according to country and region. The state of the popularity and spread of hallyu and its type of audience, users and consumers is therefore not the same in North America with its big and territorialised Korean and Asian diasporic communities or in Australia and New Zealand which apart from their large Korean and Asian minorities also benefit from a geographic proximity to Korea compared to in Europe where the Korean presence is thin and where Korea is generally an unknown country. This article presents the situation concerning the reception and consumption of hallyu in today’s Sweden, a Northern and Western European country with a small Korean and Asian population but nonetheless with a long and continuous relationship to Korea in modern history. The article which is based on interviews with Swedish hallyu fans, on Swedish media reports and fan texts on the phenomenon and on personal observations and experiences as a hallyu consumer, should be seen as a preliminary study of the reception and consumption of hallyu in Sweden, which at least in parts could be generalizable to other Northern and Western European countries, thereby contributing to an understanding of the future potential for hallyu in Europe. How is hallyu being received and consumed in Sweden with an emphasis on Korean film and K-pop?When did hallyu come to Sweden, and where and how is it present in terms of resources, users and activities? And which groups and categories are involved and participating as consumers and fans in terms of generation, gender, class and ethnicity?

Corporate reputation – the central antecedent of trust – bears the potential to create sustainable competitive advantage. However, far too many examples of companies’ socially irresponsible behavior over the past years led to a severe crisis of confidence. Disgraced companies suffer from the adverse effects of their misbehaviors at all levels. As a consequence, one of the top priorities for both practitioners and business scholars is the identification of opportunities to (re)build corporate reputation. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), a key driver of reputation perceptions, is a very promising one. However, as CSR is a multidimensional construct that comprises a wide range of activities, the selection of the “right” ones deems a major challenge. Based on a literature review, we advocate that news media data should be utilized to analyze which CSR dimensions are particularly likely to affect reputation perceptions. As journalists rely on companies’ press releases as a starting point for their business articles, companies need to carefully evaluate which CSR dimensions they emphasize in their communication strategy. Based on superior measures of reputation and CSR, this study utilizes reputation and news media coverage data on companies listed in the German DAX30 between 2005 and 2011. The panel data regression encompasses the multidimensional concept of CSR, presenting a six-dimensional CSR construct including environment, employee relations, community, product issues, corporate culture and corporate governance. Relevant moderating variables, namely firm and stakeholder characteristics, are investigated. In this context, the results show that the relevance of each of those six distinct dimensions differs for the formation of reputation judgements and varies across investigated stakeholder and company types: across all model specifications, negative media coverage addressing employee relations and community affects reputation perceptions. The general public primarily perceives negative news coverage as relevant for their reputation judgements. Opinion leaders seem to be less dependent on the media to learn about CSR dimensions, as only four out of twelve independent variables exert a significant impact on their reputation judgments. News coverage about product issues only constitutes a key role in the formation of reputation judgements of firms that are predominantly known from direct experiences. A particularly large amount of variation can be explained for reputation ratings of these companies as well as for reputation perceptions of opinion leaders.
