Recent clinical research has revealed that mechanical ventilation (MV) can initiate pulmonary fibrosis and induce mechanical ventilation-induced pulmonary fibrosis (MVPF). However, the underlying mechanism remains largely uncharacterized. Based on a mouse model of MVPF and an alveolar epithelial cell cyclic strain model, the present study explores the possible mechanism of MVPF. Single-cell RNA-sequencing and EV RNA-sequencing analysis revealed that MV promoted apoptosis signal-regulating kinase 1 (ASK1)-mediated endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress pathway activation and extracellular vesicle (EV) release from alveolar epithelial cells. Furthermore, the ASK1-ER stress pathway was shown to mediate mechanical stretch (MS)- or MV-induced EV release and lung fibroblast activation in vivo and in vitro. These processes were suppressed by ER stress inhibitors or by silencing ASK1 with ASK1- short hairpin RNA (shRNA). In addition, MVPF was suppressed by inhibiting ASK1 and ER stress in vivo. Therefore, the present study demonstrates that ASK1-ER stress pathway-mediated fibrotic-EV release from alveolar epithelial cells contributes to fibroblast activation and the initiation of pulmonary fibrosis during MV. The inhibited release of EVs targeting the ASK1-ER stress pathway might be a promising treatment strategy for MVPF.
Virtual Queue Based QoS Layered Vertical Mapping in Wireless Networks

Wireless communication is one of most active areas in modern communication researches, QoS (Quality of Service) assurance is very important for wireless communication systems design, especially for applications such as streaming video etc., which requires strict QoS assurance. The modern wireless networks multi-layer protocol stack structure results in QoS metrics layered and acting in cascade and QoS metrics vertical mapping between protocol layers. Based on virtual buffer between protocol layers and queuing technology, a unified layered QoS mapping framework is proposed in this paper, in which we first propose virtual queue concept, give a novelty united neighboring protocol layers QoS metric mapping framework, and analysis method based on dicerete-time Markov chain, and numerical results show that our proposed framework represents a significant improvement over previous model.

Astaxanthin is one of the carotenoid with strong antioxidant. The conditions of extraction of astaxanthin from Portunus trituberculatus were optimized in this work. Six factors of conditions such as, extraction method, extraction solvent, ratio of solvent to raw material, temperature, and time, were investigated. For the increase of the extraction yield, ionic liquids were used as additives in the extraction solvent. The optimum extraction conditions were found: heat reflux extraction, Dichloromethane/methanol (25:75, v/v) as solvent, 1:30 of the ratio of solvent raw material, 80℃, 90 min, and ionic liquid as additive. As a result, 45.81 μg/g of astaxanthin was extracted from waste.

Since the rotational characteristics of the aerostatic spindle are formed by the coupling of the load bearing characteristics of the aerostatic bearing and the operating characteristics of the rotor, the imbalance factors of the spindle during the operation and manufacturing errors in processing have an impact on the performance of aerostatic bearings inevitably. Thus this paper analyzes the static and dynamic characteristics of aerostatic bearings under the influence of imbalance factors and manufacturing errors. With the established dynamic model of the aerostatic journal bearing, the rotational errors analysis of the aerostatic spindle is realized. The correctness of the simulation results is verified by comparing the experimental data with the simulation data. The data provides a theoretical basis to accurately predict the rotational errors of the spindle system and achieve accuracy control.
