Generalized eigenspaces of generators of evolution semigroups
Miyazaki, R.,Kim, D.,Naito, T.,Shin, J.S. Academic Press 2016 Journal of mathematical analysis and applications Vol.433 No.2
<P>A periodic evolutionary process {U(t, s)}(t >= s), with period T on a Banach space X gives an evolution semigroup with the generator L on the space of T-periodic continuous X-valued functions. We prove that the generalized eigenspaces ATL = N((alpha I - L)(n)) and Nu = N((e(alpha tau) I - U (tau,0))(n)) are isomorphic. The algebraic representation of a function u is an element of N-L, is given by the initial value u(0) = w is an element of Nu. (C) 2015 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.</P>

Amorphous Ti-36Ni-7Sn (at%) alloy ribbons prepared by melt spinning were annealed at various temperatures for crystallization and then microstructures and transformation behavior were investigated by means of electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry. Crystallized Ti-36Ni-7Sn alloy ribbons consisted of Ti3Sn, Ti2Ni and TiNi phases. Size of Ti3Sn phase was in the range of 50-850nm depending on annealing temperature. Average size of TiNi phase increased from 25nm to 100nm with raising annealing temperature from 873K to 1073K. Volume fraction of Ti2Ni phase decreased by raising annealing temperature through decomposition reaction of 3Ti2Ni+Sn (solved in TiNi phase)→3TiNi+Ti3Sn and then Ti2Ni almost disappeared by annealing at 1173K. The TiNi phase in crystallized Ti-36Ni-7Sn alloy ribbons showed the B2-R-B19' transformation behavior. DSC peak temperature associated with the B2-R transformation (TR*) decreased from 303K to 292K with raising annealing temperature from 973K to 1173K, while DSC peak temperature associated with the R-B19' transformation (Ms*) increased from 187K to 237K with raising annealing temperature from 1073K to 1173K and thus the temperature gap between TR* and Ms* decreases from 112K to 55K.

Purpose Total or proximal gastrectomy of the upper-third early gastric cancer (u-EGC) often causes severe post-gastrectomy syndrome, suggesting that these procedures are extremely invasive for patients without pathologically positive lymph node (LN) metastasis. This study aimed to evaluate the clinical applicability of a stomach function-preserving surgery, local resection (LR), with prophylactic left gastric artery (LGA)-basin dissection (LGA-BD). Materials and Methods The data of patients with u-EGC (pathologically diagnosed as T1) were retrospectively analyzed. Total gastrectomy was performed in 30 patients, proximal gastrectomy in 45, and subtotal gastrectomy in 6; the LN status was evaluated assuming that the patients had already underwent LR + LGA-BD. This procedure was considered feasible in patients without LN metastases or in patients with cancer in the LGA basin. The reproducibility of the results was also evaluated using an external validation dataset. Results Of the 82 eligible patients, 79 (96.3%) were cured after undergoing LR + LGA-BD, 74 (90.2%) were pathologically negative for LN metastases, and 5 (6.1%) had LN metastases, but these findings were only observed in the LGA basin. Similarly, of the 406 eligible tumors in the validation dataset, 396 (97.5%) were potentially curative. Tumors in the lesser curvature, post-endoscopic resection status, and small tumors (<20 mm) were considered to be stronger indicators of LR + LGA-BD as all subpopulation cases met our feasibility criteria. Conclusions More than 95% of the patients with u-EGC might be eligible for LR + LGA-BD. This function-preserving procedure may contribute to the development of u-EGC without pathological LN metastases, especially for tumors located at the lesser curvature Purpose Total or proximal gastrectomy of the upper-third early gastric cancer (u-EGC) often causes severe post-gastrectomy syndrome, suggesting that these procedures are extremely invasive for patients without pathologically positive lymph node (LN) metastasis. Recent Development of MRAM Technology
T. Miyazaki,Y. Ando,H. Kubota 한국자기학회 2003 Journal of Magnetics Vol.8 No.1
Three topics which are related to technologies for developing of large capacity MRAM over Gbits are reviewed. First, it is stressed that inelastic-electron-tunnel-tunneling spectroscopy (IETS) is a powerfull method to investigate the interface state between magnetic electrodes and insulator. Second, magnetic tunnel junctions with small bias voltage dependence are introduced. Finally, fabrication method of carbon masks for very small magnetic tunnel junctions is demonstrated. These three topics were presented at 47th MMM 2002 conference and each paper will appear in the proceedings.
Fredholm operators, evolution semigroups, and periodic solutions of nonlinear periodic systems
Miyazaki, R.,Kim, D.,Naito, T.,Shin, J.S. Academic Press 2014 Journal of differential equations Vol.257 No.11
Let X be a Banach space and L the generator of the evolution semigroup associated with the τ-periodic evolutionary process {U(t,s)}t≥s on the space Pτ(X) of all τ-periodic continuous X-valued functions. We give criteria for the existence of periodic solutions to nonlinear systems of the form Lp=-εF(p,ε) under the condition that 1 is a normal eigenvalue of the monodromy operator U(τ,0). The proof is based on a new decomposition of the space Pτ(X) by constructing a right inverse of L.
Perpendicular Magnetic Anisotropy of (Fe, Co)-Rare Earth Amorphous alloy Films
Miyazaki,T.,Takahashi,M. 대한금속재료학회(대한금속학회) 1989 대한금속·재료학회지 Vol.27 No.3
Perpendicular magnetic anisotropy has been studied for (M_(100-x)R_x) (M = Fe, Co, R =Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, Dy, Er) amorphous alloy films. It is found that the perpendicular magnetic anisotropy of amorphous films consists of two terms which are proportional to the content and to the square of content of rare earths. Both of these terms can be explained by a large one ion anisotropy of rare earths.
