3D technologies have received much attention recently in various research area. Among them, 3D printer and 3D scanner are fast and easy techniques to manufacture its products in one simple process. Due to its several benefits, such as low cost fabrication and simple process, these technologies can manufacture products based on consumption or our needs. Here, our studies are focused on making customized mask for yellow dust using 3D printing and 3D scanning methods. Our goal is to design a process to manufacture functional mask for yellow dust using cost-effective 3D technologies. Using this 3D scanner, one’s face will be scanned so that this mask for yellow dust will be customized to fit one’s own face for complete protection from the dust. Moreover, it can be reusable with numerous washings since flexible and biocompatible filaments are used to fabricate masks where conventional masks are disposable, resulting in polluted waste. Mechanical properties as well as microstructure of this fabricated mask for yellow dust will be studied for reusability. Therefore, this 3D printing and 3D scanner can bring a new era in the health market.

Objective: This study aimed to reveal the protective effect of hydrogen storage nanomaterial MgH2 on radiationinduced male fertility impairment. Methods: The characterization of MgH2 were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and particle size analyzer. The safety of MgH2 were evaluated in vivo and in vitro. The radioprotective effect of MgH2 on the reproductive system were analyzed in mice, including sperm quality, genetic effect, spermatogenesis, and hormone secretion. ESR, flow cytometry and western blotting assay were used to reveal the underlying mechanisms. Results: MgH2 had an irregular spherical morphology and a particle size of approximately 463.2 nm, and the content of Mg reached 71.46%. MgH2 was safe and nontoxic in mice and cells. After irradiation, MgH2 treatment significantly protected testicular structure, increased sperm density, improved sperm motility, reduced deformity rates, and reduced the genetic toxicity. Particularly, the sperm motility were consistent with those in MH mice and human semen samples. Furthermore, MgH2 treatment could maintain hormone secretion and testicular spermatogenesis, especially the generation of Sertoli cells, spermatogonia and round sperm cells. In vitro, MgH2 eliminated the [·OH], suppressed the irradiation-induced increase in ROS production, and effectively alleviated the increase in MDA contents. Moreover, MgH2 significantly ameliorated apoptosis in testes and cells and reversed the G2/M phase cell cycle arrest induced by irradiation. In addition, MgH2 inhibited the activation of radiation-induced inflammation and pyroptosis. Conclusion: MgH2 improved irradiation-induced male fertility impairment by eliminating hydroxyl free radicals.

High carrier mobilities have recently been achieved in polymer field effect transistors (FETs). However, many of these polymer FET devices require the use of chlorinated solvents such as chloroform (CF), chlorobenzene (CB), and odichlorobenzene (DCB) during fabrication. The use of these solvents is highly restricted in industry because of health and environmental issues. Here, we report the synthesis of a low band gap (1.43 eV, 870 nm) semiconducting polymer (PDPP2DT-F2T2) having a planar geometry, which can be readily processable with nonchlorinated solvents such as toluene (TOL), o-xylene (XY), and 1,2,4-trimethylbenzene (TMB). We performed structural characterization of PDPP2DT-F2T2 films prepared from different solvents, and the electrical properties of the films were measured in the context of FETs. The devices exhibited an ambipolar behavior with hole dominant transport. Hole mobilities increased with increasing boiling point (bp) of the nonchloririated solvents: 0.03, 0.05, and 0.10 cm(2) V-1 s' for devices processed using TOL, XY, and TMB, respectively. Thermal annealing further improved the FET performance. TMB-based polymer FETs annealed at 200 degrees C yielded a maximum hole mobility of 1.28 cm(2) s(-1), which is far higher than the 0.43 cm(2) V-1 s(-1) obtained from the CF-based device. This enhancement was attributed to increased interchain interactions as well as improved long-range interconnection between fibrous domains. Moreover, all of the nonchlorinated solutions generated purely edge-on orientations of the polymer chains, which is highly beneficial for carrier transport in FET devices. Furthermore, we fabricated an array of flexible TMBprocessed PDPP2DT-F2T2 FETs on the plastic PEN substrates. These devices demonstrated excellent carrier mobilities and negligible degradation after 300 bending cycles. Overall, we demonstrated that the organized assembly of polymer chains can be achieved by slow drying using high bp nonchlorinated solvents and a post thermal treatment. Furthermore, we showed that polymer FETs processed using high bp nonhalogenated solvents may outperform those processed using halogenated solvents.

Occupational exposure and risk assessment were conducted to evaluate the safety of operators when insecticide acetamiprid was applied to apple orchard using a speed sprayer. Dermal patches, cotton gloves, socks, and masks were used to monitor the dermal exposure, and personal air pump with solid sorbent was used to measure the potential inhalation exposure. In validation to analytical methods, the limit of detection and limit of quantitation were 0.25 ng and 1 ng, respectively. Good reproducibility (coefficient variation < 4%), linearity (coefficient determination > 0.999), and recovery (85.3-118.2%) were obtained. Trapping efficiency of solid sorbent was 96.4% while breakthrough did not occur. Only hand exposure was measured on the gloves during mixing/loading to give 33-1,132 ㎍. Exposure amount of operator 3 among 4 workers was noticeably high. The total volumes of spray liquid for operators were 535-1,235 mLㆍh⁻¹, corresponding to 0.03-0.08% of the applied spray solution. Highest contaminated parts of body were thighs, chest, and lower legs. The inhalation exposure ratio to the total application amount was significantly low. However, wind seemed to affect the inhalation exposure of operator. For risk assessment, margin of safety was calculated by the application of cloth and dermal penetration rate to obtain values of much larger than 1 in all cases. Therefore, health risk of operators during treatment of acetamiprid in apple orchard could be of least possibility.
